MG Force Impulse Gundam mini kit bash. I held off on building a MG Impulse for a while because I never liked the proportions of it, mainly the oversized hands and feet. I originally bought a MG EX-Impulse just to take the feet and hands from that kit but I would have had to mod the feet extensively since they are shaped differently from the stock Impulse. However, I later found out Daban made a MG Impulse and redesigned most of the armor parts on the kit. The design of the Daban Impulse was not for me, but the feet redesign worked and that’s when I decided to finally build an Impulse. Took just the feet from that kit as I wanted this Impulse to be mostly Bandai. The hands are from a MG Justice. The hands did not need any modification aside from some pins to be able to hold on to the beam rifle.
I’m still not a seed fan, but you do great work on your kits and I appreciate the pictures. Even though I may not like the design, I really do enjoy seeing what you do with these

I just finished off episode six. I don’t know if I like this show or not, it’s very uncomfortable and slow paced and even though it seems like a comedy it’s more of an absurd drama but the story kinda has me wanting to see where things go. It’s definitely an oddity for a full series and it’s so simplistic that it could have easily been done as a live action show. I’ll probably end up finishing it and might not be able to decide if it’s great or terrible by the end, it’s definitely a unique feel for an adult animated series

Wow so much new stuff. Anyone think either of these (moderoid or HMR) will be better than the megahouse froma few years back? They seem to be quite a bit smaller but bigger isn't always better i guess.
I don’t know about better, but I can afford the moderoid

Ah weird ... I haven't seen that. Thanks!
It’s ok, it just went up for preorder last night and I hadn’t heard anything before seeing the listing kinda by accident. At first I thought it was just a normal rerelease, but this is an odd special metallic color with both stickers and a water slide decal sheet. I almost completely passed it by

It’s too bad they didn’t include the decals for Roy as well. And I feel bad for anyone that already purchased the standard version without waterslide decals. And then for people that just want to snap it together, this isn’t even molded white.
basically this release is for anyone that was already gonna put in the work for paint and skipped the first release.Hope they get smart and just release these with waterslide decals to begin with

About time, right? They must have gotten a battlefortressload of complaints!
I was thinking the same thing

So outside of Seto's incessant, long-winded "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"-fest, the Witch From Mercury seems to be doing fine.
I’m just glad we all get front row seating rather than lawn tickets

USA gundam store is running another sale on joytoy figures. Some items are nearly half off

pls restore original series
The recent talk I was hearing as far as live action was a reboot due to either deaths of original actors or in some cases inability for some actors to be able to work because of disabilities.
animation kinda takes out some of those problems, but I haven’t heard anything in the last couple months to confirm anything beyond the single animated movie. Maybe this is a way of testing out interest for either a reboot or continuation in some form or another
-
Are they still planning a reboot show?
there was talk about that only a couple months ago, so I was just curious if that’s still a thing in the works -

I was meaning any of the newer kits.

Not even gonna lie, I’ve done that before to figure out color schemes. I remember a few gundam kits that were either pink or purple, and I really can’t stress how much I hate those colors on mecha so I had figure out something else

Unfortunately, no. Hobby shops and clubs both have been drying up where I live. Thankfully, the sanding was largely done before my hands gave out on me, so that's not an issue.
Maybe try getting into some of the newer Bandai kits. Some are pretty cheap and are barely attached to the sprue, so not much part clean up and many have pretty good color accuracy out of box.

I'll still try and support...but it now seems apparent that when a retailer does happen to have a competitive price...it's only because they are just willing to make less profit on it....probably just to try and get some future business...
I don't collect much else beyond Macross...but are they doing the same thing with their other product lines that are allowed to be sold outside of Japan? Same type of import markups?
It seems to have a weird price thing rather than size thing to the calculations. If something is only a few bucks it might be like $5 more, but if it’s over a hundred it’s quite a bit more with no regard to size or weight

Those Ewoks look traumatized compared to their pictures

As far as cardboard boxes go, these look awesome. If I had the space, I would definitely get some of those. I can see why they would be in demand

Was at a semi local hobby town and even though it wasn’t a bargain, it was nice to see a few of the Roy hmr VF-0s in a brick and mortar store chain store in the U.S.

I might get that Conan just because of the screaming Arnold face
PLAMAX 1/72 VF-1 Valkyrie
