  1. That's exactly the point, though. The films will male money no matter who you put at the helm. So why not put someone there who can actually direct a film? The built-in financial viability of these films will last for at least a while, so there's no harm in building some good PR in the meantime so that future projects can have easier paths to success. And eventually they won't be able to sell these on brand name alone, so they should be giving people a reason to support them after that security blanket is gone. That's partly why I still watch Marvel films despite a sense of superhero fatigue. I know they'll make for at least passingly good entertainment.

But really, the faith DC/WB has put in Snyder is mind-boggling. Yes, it survived Batman and Robin, but this movie is way, way beyond Batman and Robin. It's enough that I can safely say I won't watch another DC superhero movie again. Given what they did to this, I can only imagine what they're doing to Sandman, the one DC superhero film I WANT to see. (And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt leaving over creative differences, I can reason out what those differences were.)

Didn't they cancel the sandman movie saying it couldn't be filmed recently.

  2. Like I said before it's estimated at 170 mill, so next weekend everyone who was on the fence will get that left out of the conversation feeling and a good number of those will check it out.

If I had free tickets I would watch it, but with all the talk so far, I can't justify paying to see it. That doesn't meen I'm not curios about it, and if I don't see it in theaters I'll either wait till video.

  3. Ben must be feeling let down being the "only good thing about batman v superman".

The superman movie wasn't very good and I will probably be dissapointed by this seing as how most people say man of steel was better.

With all the lex hatred and letto joker hatred maybe dcu should take a hint from what worked for deadpool and make the characters closer to what fans know or expect instead of making drastic changes to such iconic characters.

The other major complaint is that this movie seems rushed. Man of steel felt too rushed, and that's already 2 in a row that they just rushed the story. Will the justice league also be rushed.

All in all I have no confidence in this franchise at this point.

  4. This so far doesn't look as bad as the cg from the movies. I liked the old series even though at times the animation was just still pictures. I so far have only seen the first movie egg of the king and the cg elements were really bad. I will probably still watch the other films before themes series comes out here in the U.S.

Is this going to be connected to either the series or the movies or just be further in the comic than the previous projects.

  5. I just got an email from Amazon advertising the regult for $76, I think that qualifies for free shipping even though the price is a little higher the free shipping may make up for the cost.

  6. If it goes by the voting list, I think it was either the m&m 1j supers or the tomahawk next. I'll have to look back at the list.

Either way we'll probably get news next month. The standard releases apear to be one a month, but those 1js are just recolored so they may get released at the same time.

The preorders on normal releases so far come up every 2 months also, but overlapping the release tims. So probably one will come up for preorder in a couple of weeks if they stick to the pattern.

  7. I don't think th gunpod sound as ring tone would be a good idea, unless you don't like people getting too close they will think you had the most epic of epic burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrritos for lunch.🙀

  8. I kinda like the one thread, there is usually only one item for preorder about every 2 months. Between the preorders there's time to discuss what's next speculations and awkward Japanese marketing discussions and who makes the best vf1 or regult or whatever hilarious arguments fun. All in all I feel like if it relates to hmr it's just fun all around. The toys are simple fun and so are the comments.

I'm probably just lazy and don't want to search another thread every time a new item comes up or gets teased. We probably would have 30 different threads including repaints or exclusives include.

  9. When bandai releases a web exclusive they try to milk the design, so I'm pretty sure hey will release one regult with one missile attachment.

  10. My previous example with dunbine robot spirits(not sh figuarts, always getting the 2 confused) has had a lot more bad guys than good and they are still making more. I don't think dunbine was as popular as macross and probably less relevant now that newer macross series have been made, yet they are still adding more to the line. The cost of most of the figures like the drumlo are about the same as the regult and the price of the zwarth is almost the cost of the glaug, and sometimes stock doesn't sell out right away. So I don't think having some hmrs sitting on the shelf is a good example of a non successful line.
