I got a question about the 1st Top Gun Movie.

Maverick got his name for being a maverick. His Superiors sees him acting like a maverick. Iceman thinks he's dangerous. Why wasn't he dismissed from the Navy years before the 1st movie took place? Don't they have regulations and rules on behavior?  "Iron-Eagle" was heroic fantasy movie. "Top Gun" was somewhat realistic.

I haven’t watched it, but there’s a YouTube video by a jag officer and on the thumbnail suggesting he could have faced execution with a teaser question mark. There might be more answers there.

Thor 3 is definitely where Thor finally starts feeling like a full-fledged Marvel movie, but I do miss the classical meter that Kenneth Branagh imbued into the first film and the goofy juxtaposition of that against the modern world in the second.

I'll be honest, I don't get why Thor Ragnarok continues to get such effusive praise. It's a good movie, don't get me wrong, definitely in the upper tier of the MCU, but I would hardly put it in the top 10... or maybe even top 15. Even compared to its two predecessors I'd personally put it in second place behind the first movie and impersonally wouldn't rank it that much ahead.

I was never really a fan of Thor growing up, but was familiar to it due to starting off with amazing Spider-Man comics when I was little. Ragnarok felt like one of those really spacey goofy early 80’s team up comics and definitely had great casting as well as a killer pick for his theme song. Can’t beat Zep, not even with iron man getting Ac/Dc. Sure iron man sorta had Sabbath, but most people know him for pretty much a maximum overdrive style soundtrack. I also think Ragnarok had a perfect sense of absurdity.

That may be, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it's not Radio "Hit" friendly, meaning while it can certainly be played on any Top 40's Radio station, I haven't heard it make the rounds on any of the various stations listened to around work or during any test drive with a Customer's radio station preferences playing.  I have heard Berlin's Take My Breathe Away multiple times in last week and my "Classic Rock/Modern Rock" station has seen fit to break out some K. Loggins; the morning D.J. in particular.

As a kid it was almost impossible to get through a Summer without at least one movie cleaning up on the radio stations, even if the film itself bombed. And while the Radio has certainly lost some of it's power, it's far from dead.  Never thought I would miss Sunday's C.K. Top 100 countdown and all the stories, letters that accompanied those prodcasts; as the saying goes though; you never know what've you got, till it's gone.

When I listen to the radio, it’s the classic rock station anyway. Not much for pop so I wouldn’t know. Danger Zone was the one I remember from the first film though and that still gets some airplay.

So Luna Park have eBay account as well? If you compare from their site, it's $30 cheaper. I'm not sure on this one. Be cautious.

Also, I checked and compared some items from their eBay listing and their direct site. Man, some of the markups are too much. Almost $100 difference.

    Yeah, looks kinda shady

Gotta agree with the consensus that S3 is better than 2. S1 is still the best. But 3 had some great standouts, most of which have already been mentioned.

The prod values of the Crustacean ep were amazing- all those shadows, the textures, not to mention the writing; very clever in dialog and execution. That one sticks with me the most.

The mini-zombie apoc was glorious. Got some good laughs from it.

The rat infestation one was cool, but the ending rendered the whole exercise pointless. Still a fun ep, though.  Love the gratuitous gore in some of these eps. And yeah, the dialog in the one with all the soldiers was pure gold- good story, too.

What was missing was stuff on the level of Zima Blue, Good Hunting, and Lucky 13.  All three set a pretty high benchmark for storytelling that the subsequent seasons never quite achieved, IMHO. They could turn Good Hunting into a regular series- I'd be all over it.

Those were the three I really liked. Although, I actually like the ending of the one with the rats. I kinda felt the farmer was becoming more dissatisfied with the equipment and on top of that was starting to realize the rats were evolving to be more like himself.

Anyone still looking to source one from Japan better take note of the start time for AmiAmi's VF-0S PO.....

    https://www.amiami.com/eng/detail/?gcode=FIGURE-140326

    1pm JST....NOT the usual 4pm JST

After reading again, it does say the 27th and not available to Japan, so maybe that’s when the non Japanese sites will list it.

Dirtyboy above had mentioned it, but I misinterpreted what the message was actually saying.

  7. Looks like prices are ranging abou$102 to $110 before shipping on the Japanese sites. Not sure how bbts and other American sites will be

Do you remember a simpler time when women couldn't vote and certain people weren't allowed on golf courses? Bandai remembers. 8)

They also still remember when women didn’t belong in cowboy bebop
