trailer teaser
I already mentor in the general streaming section, that this unfortunately has that recent ugly Berserk anime kinda look. Not a fan of this appearance, but might give it a try just to see if it’s totally annoying

What retailers in North America are carrying Milla? Only place I can find is even is AmiAmi japan. All the usual places I get Hase kits seemed to skip over the resin.
Hlj had them, but are currently back ordered. and Hobby search still shows in stock.
I don’t think any North American places had them though. They’ve been waffling on wether to carry Macross stuff from the og series and the DYRL movie, and I didn’t notice any that listed these

That X-Files theme is too iconic. It gets stuck in my head for hours after just that first whistle sound

I’d love to see a more modern release of this design. Not sure if I’d want it any larger than the 200 scale. I’m happy with how this IMAI kit is taking shape, but I didn’t have as much fun with this old kit as I did with other kits in the line from the same era.
It would be double the size with that cannon legth also being doubled

Anaheim should have stuck to sponsoring The Mighty Ducks.
Yeah, Emilio Estevez is a fountain of youth that hasn’t been exploited enough, they put too much effort into Charlie Sheen

They should probably do the "face" as a separate piece.
I’d be happy if the parts just lined up properly. Although a separate part would be easier. Wave had been teasing a 1/100 kit a while back and now that they’re doing 1/100 destroids, I keep wondering if they’ll finally give us their monster

Okay, I’m today years old in realizing that Virginia Madsen (from the film Sideways) is the sister of Michael.
It’s ok, it took me a while to realize that Ethan Hawke was the dad of the lesbian from Stranger

I happily skipped watching the series and was able to watch this nice scene on youtube.
Oddly, he was the best character in the show, but only shows up for a little bit. Also odd that this half had cussing and the finger, but they had to censor the soundtrack mostly in the first three episodes.
I did finally finish the show’s last episode and it’s better than most of the previous ones, but still not great.
SpoilerRiri’s new Iron Man suit still somehow seems way more advanced than they had time to build it would ever allow. They made some state of the art looking shapes without any of the machines to make them and somehow suped up the wiring and programming and everything. And they had time to paint pretty well. She also on top of deconstructing a car and reconstructing it into an Iron Man Suit and programming, Painting and all that in an afternoon somehow, she also had time to learn magic spells without any assistance from her dead AI. That’s one crazy afternoon. I wish I could be a fraction of a fraction of being that productive.
during that time, somehow Parker is becoming a porker and had his staff cook an en entire feast, including a whole roast pig in a couple hours and he’s trying to force a vegan to eat it, which might just make him one of the most evil bad guys ever. He could just had someone make some bacon, but that wasn’t enough, he had a pig slaughtered just to give one bite to a vegan….Diabolical
Eventully, not Iron Man defeats Parker by sliding off his cloak while he’s distracted, and then has to eat pizza with Mephisto. We all basically felt Riri was soulless and now she’s sold whatever soul she had to get her dead friend back or maybe it was to get sent back in time before she died, I’m a bit confused on what happened for sure and don’t really want to rewatch to figure it out.
then we get an odd after credits scene where Parker finds not Dr Strange’s shop and she seems to know nothing about who he is and starts showing off that she knows magic to a total stranger. She never questions the odd evil scars on his face or anything even though she’s supposed to know about all that and I can only assume that Riri never mentioned anything about him to her other than having a demonic cloak, but I’m probably not gonna do a rewatch to find out
Anyway, show’s over and they really should have just given us a cool War Machine show. I can’t help feel that there was quite a bit that was filmed and chopped out to trim the story down to fit a smaller amount of episodes than originally intended. Not the worst show but still a bit of a turd and can’t really recommend anyone to watch it.
At least I know
SpoilerShe’s going to hell for sure when she dies
And that’s really the best part about the ending because after all this, she kinda deserves it

I wrapped up episode 4, definitely pretty bad, Riri sucks, side characters are dumb. Definitely not the worst MCU D+ show, that's still absolutely Echo, but yeah it's pretty terrible.
I forgot about Echo, but I’d still don’t think it’s as bad as She Hulk or Secret Invasion. Although I’d put it pretty close as third worst turd and Not Iron Man would be following Echo for the fourth spot

He played a rough, but really likeable character. I will definitely miss him

I could maybe understand holding off on battroids since Hasegawa has the Miria and now the Max super battroids coming out. But even then, the approaches are so wildly different...
But I do not at all understand holding off on the fighters since Hasegawa's Max/Miria set is so old now.
They may be old, but then everyone is gonna want the battroids and they’re probably gonna try and just let things cool a bit. The max fighter came out pretty close to his battroid in 1A and fairly close with Hikaru. It’s not a hard rule for them yet, but it seems to be something that sometimes happens the further they get with the VF-1’s, although there are exceptions.

Got through episode 5 and seems there’s a bit more action here. Although still fairly silly
SpoilerRiri loves White Castle and is chowing down on sliders at night and the two mma girls come in unarmed and want to clear the place. One them slams a guys head into the table and everyone ditches their food. Even the workers clear out. I don’t think the creators of this show know what kind folks actually sit down at these places at night, but one attack like that would just turn the place into an instant Waffle House incident, but nobody fights back or even calls the police. Oddly this show seems to have an odd absence of police throughout the show. You’d think someone would say something about an iron man flying around, but it’s like the people of this city don’t care.
after getting beat up she teams up with a few family members and not Dr Strange to build a new iron man suit because her old Iron Man suit got trashed. Oddly they don’t build the suit out of advanced metals or anything, but an old car and a laptop. Somehow they had the ability to do this in one day without state of the art factories, just a run down garage. And they do it all in one afternoon. It’s not even dark yet. It’s really really far fetched, but then they gotta power it somehow and they use magic gas to do it. Oddly the magic gas seems the most plausible thing about this.
I can see why there’s so much hate for this show. Personally I’m still not there and don’t think it’s the worst show they’ve put out for the mcu, but it’s not far from it.
One more episode to go -

Looks better than the one I did a while back. I had the worst time on the front face seam and the arm missile launchers. Definitely not the easiest build. Still hoping for a modern kit one day that handles those issues better.

They haven't done VF-1J Max/Miria for the fighter kit though... which is puzzling.
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned that they’re probably holding off due to recent hasegawa kits. I’m sure they’re coming eventually l, just like I’m sure they’ll do the armored one, just gotta let things cool down and in the meantime probably do some more 7 stuff

The warning is a little late. AMC theaters where I am had ads and trailers lasting that long before Covid. (not every film, but a few certainly did)
Yeah, now that I think about it, it’s pretty much the same here as well and has been that way for a few years.

Much like Acme in the Looney Tunes series...
Acme wasn’t nearly as bad. Sure they sold some fairly dangerous stuff to random people and animals, but it’s not like they were supplying items to both sides of the Cold War

WRT the UC, it is pretty funny in hindsight to consider that all the Federation needed to do to squash half or more of the Zeon uprisings was just police Anaheim better. They kept the conflicts going indefinitely by selling arms to both sides until SNRI snuck up and ate their lunch in the UC 100s.
They really should have started doing that before the Zeta era. 0083 showed that some already knew of their dealings. And the fact that they not only were supplying the feds, the Titans, Zeon Remnants and even the AEUG is totally ridiculous. It would’ve made more sense if they had been doing the Votoms type of thing to create more advanced humans by forcing constant struggle, but they just were hyper greedy and couldn’t help putting a stamp on everything

Maybe so but that personality flaw is nothing compared to Jimmy Swaggart (who also passed this week, to the delight of many).
I love Ozzy’s Miracle Man song. Totally trashed Jimmy. Dio also had one with Sabbath called TV Crimes that didn’t exactly name him, but you could easily tell who he was singing about. Some people that have issues will be remembered as nothing but a fraud while others like Shooter will still have a great legacy that will be remembered.

Definitely try it first on a sprue. But I remember the chrome coatings usually didn’t do well trying to get paint to stick. I don’t know for sure on this iron coating or if Lacquer primer just sticks, but testing on a sprue is usually a safe test and it will show if you do need to do a strip on the parts
