So, the latest ep, the plotting was a little weird to follow:

      Reveal hidden contents

Rogue touches Gyrich to discover what exactly?  Main X-Men get the call from Trask, but decide to make a detour to pick up Rogue first?

And yes, they’re still playing loose with the continuity from the old series.  Jean already read Cable’s mind during an old ep and discovered Cable’s ties to hers and Scott’s (then) future.  So, a minor retcon there.

And where the hell is Storm?

    Spoiler

Storm’s on a ranch gettin busy. Although after finding out things were a mess she should have shown up

and they really are doing some odd things with the continuity since as I’ve said before Morph pretended to be Xavavier in good health on tv so everyone around the world would think he was fine. As far as Jean knowing Cable was Cyclops’s son, I can’t remember if that had happened before or after she was replaced by the Goblin Queen. I know it happened, just can’t remember exactly when.

Overall was a pretty good episode Rogue showing off a bit was fun and definitely looked better than her action scenes in the original episodes. Wolverine still has a weird sounding voice in these episodes. But at least there’s more Nightcrawler, just too bad they had to kill off a member of the team to add him in

  2. Up until the last couple episodes, I thought this show would be in contention for best show of the year. Now I see that it’s in contention for either the most hated or hopefully forgettable shows of the year. It started out so good and kept giving hope things would go somewhere interesting and it just gets more and more depressing and ends as a total teaser with nothing but depression.

    Spoiler

Second to last episode is like putting a loved one on suicide watch because the main lady keeps trying to kill herself only to be stopped constantly. There’s action scenes, but they come off more as rich people ordering their subordinates to die for them to prove a point. The lady finally dies after trying constantly trying to either kill herself or get killed by others. This gives hope that in the last episode we will finally see Crimson Sky.

Towards the end of the last episode we find out that Crimson Sky already happened. It was all just manipulation of perception to lead to a final battle that we will never see. All that training with canons and such basically for nothing, just a distraction. The main character is dying a horrible death and seems blind and bedridden back home while kids hold the helmet he was given in defense of his master in a battle that never gets shown. We are left waiting for an epic end in a final episode that’s just an epilogue to the events of the last episode. Whe don’t even find out how the main character gets back home

Overall, I feel manipulated by the creators of the show into thinking this was gonna be a great show with a truly epic conclusion and felt completely let down. It’s pretty and gruesome. And a lot of depressing people doing a lot of depressing things.

Seriously..F..k this show, I wish I never started it

Looking into starting this one tonight or later this week

How necessary is it to have played (or at least be familiar with) the game series?

(Asking because I have never played the games and have basically zero familiarity with the franchise beyond hearing some friends complain about Fallout 76.)

I’ve never played the games and didn’t feel lost at all with the show. Just about everything you might be a little lost on gets a bit of an explanation as the show rolls with a few things left for season 2

Yeah, I had to look it up. I guess a lot of the cars were real and some were just concept vehicles. Most were extreme rarities, but that definitely was the Kaiser Darrin. I’ve never heard of it before and it’s definitely interesting to see and even more wild to watch how the doors open

I really liked the alternative time line that seems to be based on a technologically more advanced period during what appears to be the "Cold War" era of the 50's...

Yeah, that was a nice touch. I had a double take when the actor pulled into a parking space with his car and the door had an odd sliding mechanism rather than a swing joint.

The only problem with other SC characters is the armours are so distinctive that it's more involved than a mere repaint with a new head.  But I'd love to get more of them, anyway!

The majority of the tough bits would be the bodies. Some would probably share body parts with others and the armor bits would be a simpler thing. I’m sure they would need several body sizes though, but they’d probably limit it to three basic types. A female, a smaller and larger male .

The armour version is nice.  The shield clips around the forearm, with no exposed peg hole needed if not in use.  It came with two stands, one for each figure.  Armoured Dana has helmet attached and bare face swappable faces.  The bare face connects with two pegs into the head, the helmet has a pair of teeeeeeny tiiiiiiiiiiny tabs that slot into obnoxiously hard-to-line-up holes.

The armour colours look great.  Her girdle/codpiece is a bit loose but that means that as I pose her her legs don't crash into stuff and chip the paint.  She looks a bit better proportioned in her armoued look, no grotesque column-neck there.  The joints themselves seem decently tight so far, able to hold a pose and prop up her laser rifle.

All in all, a good purchase and I'm glad to get some Southern Cross merch.

Nice. Gotta wait for a couple other preorders to come in before I can have mine shipped. Hope that they do some of the other characters.

So I did get my Dana!  She's quite tiny and her legs are a bit out of proportion (I guess a leftover from when the armour was supposed to be removable).  The cloth suit isn't quite as tacky in person because of how small it is, and it feels different and better than just painted plastic.

I haven't gotten to her armoured form yet, but that's the one that's gonna live on my shelf so I want to practice swapping gimmicks on her off-duty look first 😀

Let us know about the armor version. I got one in my pile of private warehouse loot or whatever at bbts for now. Add some pics as well please

In my view: The armour guy (Maximus) was utterly devoid of any consistency, one moment a clumsy buffoon, then a bit of psychopath, then mister aloof of the year, and all while he kept changing direction. He was too annoying with his multiple personality issues, and seemed the writers really know how to build him as every time something twitched in his head, the same pity guilt flashback played out... almost every episode. If anything, at one point, I was like really "Really? They're seriously trying to copy Fin from SW and can't even get that right?"

I'm not going into detail with the amount of plot holes and face palm moments with vault 31 to 33 (Plenty of YT videos breaking that down), but I stand firm that the ghoul grabbed back attention each time he appeared as the rest of the show was a reheated stew of cliché characters and obvious twists.

Maximus seemed extremely different from Finn to me. They really didn’t have the same look or purpose. Finn was a dude that got ptsd after his first real battle and just wanted to run away and hide, but then got dragged into things. Maximus didn’t want out, he wanted more authority and his first experience of action was with someone that had no respect for him or his own safety and he knew that he was being pushed into a situation he more than likely wasn’t coming back from. I think most people would’ve acted the same in that particular situation. As far as his buffoonery, I’d say that’s mostly due to extreme lack of training. He had absolutely no experience with that suit and it showed. I don’t feel like there were any multiple personalities at all. He just had a slight change of view when he realized that he might have a chance at an easy life, but went back on track soon after.

I didn’t really notice any plot holes with 33 or 32 going on, it seemed like things were explained as the show went, but I also haven’t seen any YouTube videos explaining them. There were a lot of spoilery videos and I avoided anything like that til after the show was over. I’ll see if I can find any later

The ghoul is 90% of the show. Remove him, and it's very forgettable.

Don’t get me wrong, the ghoul is very important. But there’s a lot I liked other than him. I loved the Armor guy and awkward armor shenanigans and the stuff going on in the vaults is pretty entertaining as well. There’s a lot of little mysteries going on in the show. The ghoul and his story are definitely the glue that helps tie things together and a lot of things revolve around his character

Every moderoid has come with spare clear parts up until now for customizing so you should still be good with the standard kit and repainting

I’ve got a couple that don’t. I’ll wait for it to release and see if this one does come with a spare clear part, then I’ll probably get a second one and put clear blue over the visor

  12. My lady was off work yesterday and we had just watched the week’s episode of shogun and she decided that we should watch part two of Rebel moon. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it, but we had already watched all our shows that we watch together and couldn’t think of a movie to watch and the alternate was starting to sound like Ricky Stanicky, but we ended up with Rebel Moon part two. It’s kinda more of the same but without the whole trying to get a team together kinda thing. At around the part where people were trying to explain their backgrounds my lady was asking angrily if I was awake. The last thing I remember was a bunch of slomo birds eating some slomo spaceships while a slightly less slomo dude was watching a slomo lady doing a king of the world pose. I guess I was snoring really loudly. I went to bed and she finished it off. I’ll have to try and finish the movie one day. She said it was better than part one.

I guess I gotta get some rest before attempting more slomo in movies and should’ve known this might happen again. I probably wouldn’t have liked Ricky Stanicky, cause it really sounded stupid, but I probably wouldn’t have dozed off

Just preordered 2 of each of the Ingram Econos. Love the design. Might even grab the recolor from goodsmile later on.

They definitely look great. I don’t have as much space to do doubles, but I preordered one of each of the standard ones and on the fence on the recolor because I could just repaint the thing tan, but the clear part is a different thing.

Damn, I'm always on the opposite side of sentiment on this site, because this trailer looks awesome to me!

I guess I'll just have to enjoy watching it on behalf of everyone here! :p

If you kindly let us know what you liked about the trailer, we can ruin it for you so you can become a bitter a.. hole like the rest of us. You’ll benefit from saving money on ticket prices for movies, but you’ll start grumbling at the freebies
