Congrats on receiving a PO price 31A. Still hoping those from NY will come through but I am on the lookout for my 2nd 31A at after market prices, just hopefully within the 35-40k range

Thanks to those of you who watched my video and voiced your views on the points I shared. The whole NY thing is really shrouded in mystery. For the first time in their TWE history they are failing us, and it’s on quite a large scale, going by how many of us in MWF and outside of MWF are affected. My assumption that NY may be selling in the secondary market is but a possibility that I personally feel is not high since they openly sell at marked up prices on their website if they had the stock, provided they fulfilled all their POs. It is fine to sell at the going market price to make more profits. In selling Toys, you earn some and you lose some. No one is willing to pay for the original price of the Toy if the going price dropped by 50%. But many tend to cry rape when the price of a toy is doubled the original price. Ultimately we the collectors are the ones driving the prices up or down. Supply and demand, chicken and egg theory. Back to NY, I believe in the earlier stage they are really trying to fulfill all POs but they are definitely worn out by many customers hounding them on the delivery status. Hence they are happy to refund us in the form of store credits just to get us off their backs. Still that doesn’t shine the light on where in the world is NY’s 31A stock. NY definitely placed orders for it. But did they mess up and placed insufficient stocks? They don’t tell and we won’t know. Awaiting for the truth to be unveiled, if ever.

Checked my paypal account and it says I can get my refund before 24 April. So NY is calling bluff that they can't refund me my $$$. I will give them another week to deliver, though I am quite certain that it's going to be futile.

More like paypal suspend the seller's account. Buyer account is not affected far as i know.

And NY will lock your account pending Paypal resolution. Sneaky way of doing business.

NY is taking the easy way out now. For any tickets asking about the 31A delivery date, they will say 1. We don't have an expected delivery date 2. Your paypal payment is too old for us to do a refund. We will give you store credit

In the above article, the collector mentioned that 1. He POed 1 and then Poed another on a later date 2. Bandai's website mentioned it will open a round 2 PO if round 1 is sold out 3. The 31A PO ended before the close date 4. Bandai did not open another round of PO If anyone can translate or read that article better, do help to shine more light to the situation.

You are right on the 10th anniversary Exia. Even a lucky draw 1 per account item is more readily available on mandarake. And NY had it on sale as well until it was sold out over the weekend.

Interesting. If you look at derex3592's pic, it clearly shows the 31A and the TWE box in his car. Could NY be possibily buying of every possible secondary sources to fill the PO? Personally I don't think so cos that's a huge loss for them to do so. The plot thickens....

Unlike most Macross DX TWEs, the limit per account for the 31A is 6 as opposed to the usual 12 pieces. Makes sense that AE closes early since they knew the maximum no.of pieces that they could order with that limit. NY could have made a huge miscalculation or opened a lot more accounts to order the 31A. I won't deny the possibility that bandai is still sending out the later orders if there indeed was some significant QC issues. The fact that NY did not choose to do a massive refund does give a slight tinge of hope that existing orders could be fulfilled, though unknown how many or when. Still, the fact that you don't see many auctions of the 31A in JYP and mandarake only having 2 listings so far, does clearly indicate a shortage of the 31A in the world.

to be fair, i wouldn't call those on YJP scalper prices. no one anticipated the hype and we the international buyers, are the ones who are pushing the prices up. why do we buy from yjp? cos high chances most of us pre-ordered from NY and didn't get our POs fulfilled. Hence we are the market forces driving up prices.
