Like I said in this post, there are no production or delivery issues with the 31A. If any, they would have posted a public notice. Click on the link and take a look. TWEs are made to order. Period. Bandai sets a quantity in the background counter of every PO. If the quantity is maxed out, the PO closes. period. TWEs are never sold via distributors. TWEs are sold by Bandai direct. In fact Bandai will buffer a certain quantity for exchange if the Japanese customers receive defective pieces. But that's another conversation. In the case of MK, they likely took more POs than they ordered. Someone could have screwed up because the max quantity is 6pc as oppose to the usual 12 pc limit for valkyries. For NY, they could have possibly made the same mistake. But at least I think they are trying in the background to sort it out, though it gets less assuring as the days pass.

if i want my $ back, i will open a case with paypal 3 days before the last day, just to be safe.

I hope paypal sorts it out for you. i wouldn't take store credit either. And rightfully they can't force it on you. if paypal speaks up for NY, just be firm and say you want your $ back. period.

Another day without any update from NY. But there's some consolation that everyday a few members will post that they received their notification from NY. I only hope the next one to post that is me.

All other March 2018 TWE items are already in stock or sold out on NY. The only "ghost" item is the 31A. Sheer luck? Hmm..

In Japan, Bandai only charges the buyer when the item is ready for delivery. So NY probably paid only during the point of delivery. NY charges upfront because they have too many cases of buyers not honoring their orders hence resulting in them being stuck with a lot of TWEs. i recall when I first bought TWEs from NY, they had the "pay later" option. It was only in the recent 2-3 years that they removed that option for TWEs.

Do be so kind to share with us the outcome of this episode. It's interesting to know that they jump right into action once paypal is activated.

Perhaps this will prompt NY to find your order, pack it and ship it. And if that works, they can be prepared to be bombarded with a chain of dispute notifications from paypal. But it could also go all the way south. NY could take the easy way out by refunding you, which you don't mind either.

And the official release date is 15 march. So we are coming close to 1 month of delay from NY. something fishy is going on.

Have you asked for a refund already? So far mykombini has downright refunded its customers. I am not sure what NY is doing. Are they waiting for us to run out of patience and then put up the cancelled stocks at a high premium? I recall my YF-29 Ozma from NY was sent out 2 weeks after the launch date but that was the longest it took for me. And during then the YF-29 Ozma's price was rocketing as well. I too feel that this is not a Bandai issue. Only NY knows the truth behind their delay and they just refuse to come clean with us.

My friend has his 2 pc cancelled and refunded after he sent a ticket saying he will lodge a complaint with paypal if NY doesn't reply with a definite delivery date

For TWE items, it is made to order. When Bandai opens the TWE PO, there's a counter in place. Say 2000. Once the counter reaches 0, the PO closes automatically by the website. And when the PO closes too early, Bandai knows this is an indication of how popular the item is and they open another round of PO with a 1-2 months delay delivery date. We have seen that for Gundam Metal Build TWEs. For the 31A, as far as I recall, the PO window opened till the last day and there wasn't even a need for a reopening to take in orders for a 2nd batch. This means that whatever PO was taken, Bandai was able to fulfill them 100%. The counter didn't reach 0 and close the PO window. What could have happened, is there could be some production issues that popped up or they took more POs than they thought they could deliver in 1 sitting. That is why I heard from a retailer that his Japanese counterpart was waiting for a 2nd batch to be dispatched from Bandai. As far as i know from the 10 years of collecting TWE items, Bandai has never cancelled any POs. There have been instances where they delayed the delivery date by 2 weeks to a month, but never a cancellation. TWE orders are always honored. As for the truth behind the 31A, we will only know when more information pops up.

It's nonsense. TWE are made to order. And online retailers have to order individually via their countless clone accounts. It's either they took in more POs than they ordered or they are channeling their sales to ebay and YJP

I know. I kinda feel shortchanged that NY keeps sending me emails on release dates updates and asking for payment when the most important email for my 31A delivery is nowhere in sight. So yup, not going to pay for the hi-metal until i see my 31A out for delivery.

Yes NY prioritizes single units regardless of order date. Already verified from past experiences.

I correct myself. No news for me in Asia yet. Anyway, the prices on YJP are getting higher now. 38-40k. i will grab it at 35k if it appears on Mandarake, just in case NY fails me (for the 1st time).

Same here. Got the same response when they replied to my ticket. The wait continues.

What this means is they are buying off the secondary markets to fill in the gaps now. Someone in NY could have messed up and placed insufficient orders for the POs they took.

As much as I am getting restless waiting, the only consolation I have is that I am paying a much lower price compared to the current going price of the 31A. It may be a long wait but I hope that NY delivers whatever pre-order it has taken for this.

Everything is slow with NY even after the item is shipped out. EMS shipping and still at “posting/collection” status after 29 hours. How can I regain my faith in NY? Lol
