If I am not mistakened, the contract with Spike ends in September. So sometime in September, expect the change. Although I'm sure there will be notice to alert the viewers a week or two beforehand.

Yes, but that was during the time a certain "son-in-law" wasn't in charge of booking. Times have changed. You can't call the show RAW anymore; it's now The Triple-H Show. True, but the Triple-H Show has also brought many great things to Raw. That same show was the reasoning for putting Jeff Hardy over, jobbing to him for the IC title. That same show also had no problem jobbing to Benoit last Wrestlemania, tapping out cleanly, and giving someone else the torch. And if the rumors are true, that same show will cleanly job to Batista at Wrestlemania. So I don't exactly understand how it's Triple H's show, especially considering that Vince McMahon has final say in any decision made with the booking. Wouldn't The Vince McMahon Show with suggestions by Triple H be more of an appropriate title?

I doubt it. It's not the broadcaster that makes the quality of the program; it's the writers and producers of the show responsible for the content. Touche. But they will have more exposure again, since USA reaches more markets than Spike TV, and they may start getting those old rating numbers they used to gain, in the 6's and 7's, and sometimes, 8's, back in the day.

You know, I have to admit that I was actually a little impressed with Marty Janetty. I mean, I wasn't expecting him to be anything spectacular, but aside from the botched flip following the double elbow drop, I thought he did a pretty decent job in there. I really didn't think he would even be that good. So with Spike TV bailing out of the negotiations, and the likeliness that they'll be going back to USA, does anyone think that WWE programming will revert to the quality they had during the first USA run?

One could only hope! Anyone who has bought into RT.com going down for good is such a mark.

Unfortunately, that's been done before and implemented better IMO. I hope you don't mean TOS in that regard. Because there was no fear in that show. That my same thought, Gaijin. In TOS, sure, there was a little fear when they ame face to face with the Cylons, but they never had that non-stop fear, like they do in this new series. Yeah, it's been done before, but that doesn't necessarily make it any less enjoyable. I also totally agree with this. Space action is great, but it's only dynamic of a greater story. Without the drama and the politics, the show would be very dry and narrow. The tension that the drama has built onboard the fleet, with the added distrust, makes for great storytelling.

Then it seems like you have a bias against me, for some reason unknown to me. You point out my "personal attacks" on MGREXX, but I see when MGREXX or sktchrtst2002 make personal attacks on me, you seem to turn the other cheek or ignore them. If you're going to make a case, be objective, or else, you're simply inflating the issue with a one-sided mentality. This is true. I was a member of the old MW boards, where personal attacks also took place amongst members. But I didn't see anyone posting threads on the boards to get anyone banned. Why now? Unless there is more than just the issue of "personal attacks". And like eugimon so aptly pointed out, not every post I make, is based on attacking MGREXX. How about you go read some of the posts I have made the BSG and WWE threads? Or do those not count in your biased mind, Zentrandude? If I simply joined to harass MGREXX, then why would I bother posting in threads where he does not participate, and why do I not post in every thread in which he does participate? I'll be honest, I don't care if I make friends or enemies here. I have both friends and enemies on this board already. I'm here to give my thoughts and opinions on certain topics. Sometimes, certain people will not like those thoughts and opinions, and at other times, they will. This is because I am objective, and I don't sugarcoat things for people, just so they'll like me. I call it like it is. And if you want to talk about MGREXX, well, we could talk all day. But that would serve no real purpose, would it? So for those of you that already don't like me, that's fine. If you actually looked at my total posts before you made blind assumptions, you would have noticed that I have posted in other threads as well, where MGREXX is nowhere to be found. I opened this thread, read it, and I wanted to express a little encouragement to UN MARINE, since he seemed to express some discouragement. The fact that MGREXX posted something very unnecessary, is annoying, so I made a comment about it. If you say something inappropriate and unnecessary, I will also say something about it. My point is that where I post, is with the intention of referring to the topic first. If MGREXX or anyone else for that matter makes a retarded comment, I will have no problem in expressing that the comments are retarded as well.

Well, that's the thing. The drama/politics are there because of the sense that they are being stalked by the Cylons, within their own fleet. You can't continue comparing the original series to this one, if you expect to judge this new series objectively. Sure, in the new series, they aren't running into Cylon ships every ep, but they are running into the threat of a Cylon at almost every moment. The writing is trying to sell the threat of a Cylon being amongst them as a much stronger threat than being chased by them and fighting them off in their fighter ships. Personally, that's the aspect that is hooking me in. It's actually making me think and challenging me a little, not doing the thinking for me.

The botch with the ring bell is the only botch that I recall ever noticing. Aside from that, he's been doing a solid job. Additionally, he's been selling really well, when he's supposed to. That is the mark of a great heel. He's still young and he still needs more seasoning, but I think he does have the fundamental traits down, to one day, become a main event heel. I agree with the Ali Singh thing. But Ali Singh had nowhere near the charisma that Hassan has. Hassan is just a natural on that mic and in that character. Ali Singh never really projected his character well, or as strongly.

Ah, I was looking for a BSG thread around here. I just want to share my opinion in that BSG has turned out to be an extremely good show. The writing has been simply awesome, hooking the audience more and more, every new episode. The pacing has been brilliant. I must admit that at first, I thought I was going to be disappointed by BSG, because of all the changes, but I have been proven wrong, and I have no qualms about saying so. Kudos to the producers, directors and writers. They have given hope to a dying sci-fi genre. I hope this show stays on for a while.

Hassan has alot of promise, I feel. His mic skills have been very solid and consistent. For the most part, his in-ring work has been pretty solid too. Granted, he does have a gimmick that makes it pretty easy to get heat, but the fact that he has been able to keep the heat and maintain it at the level that he has, shows that he does have talent. And I believe that Hassan can indeed elevate onto main event material someday. Sure, the current gimmick will have to come to an end at some point, but he's clearly shown that he can play a great "a-hole" character, and he may end up being the next great heel.
