  1. yeah, thats what i meant. the box with the nice big painting of the VF-1S on it.
  2. we could get back to DS discussion if you two didn't insist on defending yourselves so much dumbass
  3. umm.. stop reading my posts then genius if you don't wanna hear what i have to say. you seem to have a lot of anger.. don't get mad at people on the internet, not good for yer nerves lol and i like how my post was edited, it reads like a mad lib or something
  4. thanks for answering my questions.. "politely" it seems like some of you guys see a "newb" i.e. someone with not a lot of posts and you all just step all over their balls about practically any topic they might start. notta good way to keep macross alive i guess i had a 1990 bandai in mind more than a takatoku. don't cry tho, no ones making making or selling fake valks, so no worries. it was just a question i threw out there that i was curious about, i happen to be a graphic designer with experience in printing and was just thinking theoretically about the possibilities of something like this. now lets get happy and positive..
  5. why can't jemstone and dejr8bud make any sense in their posts? i can't figure out if jem is saying shes a girl or not... besides what the fart is wrong with console loyalty? i have an xbox, i know its the poo and thats the one i buy games for, post about and defend. i don't like the gaycube lol and ps2. i've had both and now i just have an xbox, it rules.
  6. well that was my question, i figured the originals had to have some differences from the re-ishs. i don't think it would be too hard to print a 90's bandai strike box tho. and all the other printing issues like the BW stickers i think would be possible to get around. the styrofoam tho would be the tough part. i have no idea how you would get that made. sorry bout the evil thread
  7. i know you do now, i didn't think you did before. newb, yeah.. on this profile.
  8. What, no snappy comeback? That's one more to the idiot list. Wolf, don't worry you already made the cut. ok ok your actually a girl. i had no clue what the hell that guy was talking about, i thought he just didn't speak english well. but i'm a MAN! so i win this discussion either way now go knit or bleed or something, you should know better than calling a guy an idiot
  9. don't anyone take my idea here.. but if someone had access to a printer that could print on big sheets of card stock and if they could get someone to make the styrofoam whats stopping someone from throwing a re-issue into a fake box and selling it for hundreds of dollars on ebay? even making a fake instruction sheet wouldn't be hard. if someone wasn't really educated about valks i guess they wouldn't know that the '80s toys didn't have tampo printing and they'd think they were getting an original. just an evil thought..

    Yamato SDF-1

    kidding... yeah.. just kidding..
  11. SHAME ON YOU! I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE BASH NINTENDO! Sometimes you gotta call it like it is. Nintendo shot themselves in the foot with the N64 being cart based... a $50 game for PlayStation would go for $70 on the N64. Plus, perhaps living in the glory days when developers knew the money was with Nintendo's system, high licesnsing fees means it's harder to make money making Gamecube games that it is to make PS2 or Xbox games. Nintendo fans are loyal to Nintendo for one big reason... Nintendo caters to them with the Zeldas, Marios, Pikmins, etc. That's not even entirely true as Nintendo doesn't even release a good majority of it "best" titles to the states. Look how many years it took for Fire Emblem as just one example to make it over. "Console Loyalty" is a very retarded concept in itself an only retards with no understanding about economics or marketing are "console loyalist". However, Panzer's comment about a the GC having a "gay" design is rather ignorant and entirely stupid on many levels (especially if he can actually compare it to a purse). its all good, i just got a little more hair on my chest than you and on sunday's you can find me on the couch with a beer and my hand watching football i had a gamecube, played Zelda, beat Luigi's Mansion even had F-Zero, eternal crapness, pikmin and mario sunshine. but the only game that ever held my interest was Mario Golf tho so i sold it for an xbox. that was almost 2 years ago and have never been tempted to go back. theres not one game out i would buy another Cube for. nintendo is limping in my opinion when it comes to consoles. in hand helds i think they'll be fine tho. thats were they started their business and thats what they shouild stick to. i have an SP and play it more than my xbox sometimes. the DS just seems a little too gimicky to me and the PSP just looks damn cool, and i'm sure the games will be great. but no one will know anything until they actually release these things.

    Scale Pref.

i don't understand why Yamato couldn't make the 1/60s transform better, or even the 1/48s. i mean couldn't they have changed a hinge or something from the Bandai design and just gone with that without breaking any copyright laws?

    Yamato Stand!

i'd like to see them try. they'd get stuffed in my dresser drawers Kramer style and if they send a female represenative they can join me in my hot tub Kramer stye.
  15. i don't know.. i'm still waiting to see if the DS is the next Virtual Boy. i lost most my faith for nintendo after the 64. its like they don't have enough focus groups or something when they make new systems. like they never got a guys opinion about how gay a console would be if they added a handle and made it like a purse? and stylus based games..? i don't know.. would rather just mash a d-pad and A & B. 20 years of video games and the best they can do is give you a toothpick and a touch screen to play with? PSP will be something to check out tho. but its pretty big and it seems to have a pretty short battery life. it'll be cool to watch movies and stuff on it tho.

    Yamato Stand!

yeah but are is there special holes or something that only let yamato valks fit on it? i didn't think so, has anyone tried to put one of their 1/55s on one of these?

    Yamato Stand!

Can you put a Bandai 1/55 on one of these stands? if so i'm getting one.
  18. haha yeah i know, i'm not looking for support, don't need it. i love macross a lot more than i do yuki, but there is just no way the anomation in Zero is better. I think Me-Man looked better than a few scenes in Zero
  19. YOU PEOPLE SUCK i started a Yukikaze thread on this forum a year ago when the first volume came out and nobody knew what the hell i was talking about. i leave macross world for a few months and i see this 7 page thread.. the CGI is soo much better than Macross Zero, the cgi cutscenes in macross don't even blend with the animation. in yuki its seemless. and yeah the characters are fruity, everyone agrees with that. but atleast i don't cringe like i do when i watch Macross. jeezus you wanna talk about some fruity dudes... i even show yuki to my non-anime fan friends cause its like a cartoon top gun with sicker jets. and the non dialogue scenes are not that bad, atleast you have some really stylish art to check out. let my buddies watch macross DYRL? hell naw, i'd get beaten.
  20. yep. MG kit. There is a MG kit Ingram#2 with LED included. http://www.toy-wave.com/cgi-bin/store/comm...6&pid=192&ppi=1 They also sell the LED separately, for those other Ingram kit without the LED. http://www.toy-wave.com/cgi-bin/store/comm...&pid=1091&ppi=1 duuuude where do these obscure hobby websites keep coming from? yahoo and google never find these. just when you think you know every site to check out along comes another one. thanks for the link tho
  21. righteous buddy, the mech design in that series is really unique.
  22. ^^^ just read my post above, i like my opinion.
  23. I SEE IT LIKE THIS: The Japanese toys we are buying are basically made for the Japanese market. I think diecast has always held a certain prestige for the japanese consumer (and us hardcore yank fans)-- look at the original Bandai VF's box art, "HI METAL" stamped right on the upper left corner of the box. diecast equals value, its precious metal. it requires work, imagine the manufacturers pouring the melton ore into the mold (or something like that). Its like the difference between a hubcap and an alloy rim. now this paint fleckling problem you are talking about is typically a Yamato thing. i farted on my VF-19 and some paint came off So lets just make sure we are talking about Yammie diecast work and not diecast application as a whole. i think diecasting is a crucial selling point, it don't mean squat to little kids buying toys but its grown men who design them and its truely grown men (or maybe one woman ) who collect them on a hardcore level. my point? lets look at everything on the menu before we write off the whole noodle stand and draw lines between diecast and plastic and dump on one or the other. uh i guess thats a good analogy lol (look at the time of my post, Panzer is up all nite abusing stuff )
