Wouldnt you also need even more if you want to have each variant & version displayed in multiple poses? You'll need an enormous case just for one character.

Brought on by the 1/48 war going on right now. WTF do you do with that many of a figure? Do you display them all, hoard them to sell in the future, keep them in case one of the figure gets damaged (from sun exposure, etc.) or what?

I would say that toy collector have spend more lately. However, with few new figures coming out, even though the ones that are coming out are pricey, the model collectors will be the ones paying more in the near future. How many new toys do we even have coming out? 1/48 GBP 1/48 GBP w/ VF-1K 1/100 Monster 1/60 Monster 1/100 Macross Zero 1/72 VF-19 FP (in our dreams only) Anything else? If not, that's less $1K USD.

Who wouldnt want to pick up a set of these for under $30 each (could be as low as $20)? Were the molds damaged or lost? Did the horrible sales of Toynami's SD line deter Bandai? Could we see an updated yamato or some other companies version?
