Speaking of Jedi... Is it me or is the Seed Destiny storyline very similar to the Star Wars storyline? My apologies if someone has already mentioned this... Shinn = Anakin Chariman = Emperor ZAFT/ EAF = Republic/Rebels (either/or/whichever...they both take turns bein' the other) OR Archangel = Rebels VS two evil empires; ZAFT/EAF Athrun = Pad Mei (hahahaha...j/k)

Sup fellow canto! I used to live in HK, up until I was 4. That was 21 years ago...hahahahahahaha. Most of my family from my mom's side is in HK, and it's SOOOO frustrating cause they can't help me get Macross stuff. Sigh... Anyhow if someone can find me a Macross Zero F-14, I will buy them beer until they drink themselves into a drunken state.

What is this "wash" technique exactly? Does it work w/ tamiay paints? and is it far superior to the "gundam pen" technique? How do you get rid of gaps? and what products do you use?

I actually thought about buying it back then on HLJ... but it was so expensive. Now I'm thinking I should have bought it. Oh well...

Wow... thanks. I certainly will look into that. Do you know how well it works in terms of bonding "plastic(canopy) to resin" VS. "plastic to plastic?" In otherwords... do they work well for both resin & plastic models? or is it more ideal for one medium over the other?

Where can I get my hands on one of these? As well as Hikaru in his pilot suit from DYRL?

My blood boils at the at sound of this so called "Harmony Gold" company. They are getting in the way of my entertainment. Who is in charge of HG? Can't we petition them? Speak to them? Threaten to kick Mr. Head of HG's butt...j/k? From they way you described HG... they sound like a stubborn b!tch out to spite everyone and ruin everyone's fun and entertainment.

But the disadvantage is that it doesn't list the "recent topics" in order of when the thread was last "active" nor does it list it as a "Topic/thread" list form (like the subcategories that list active threads). The advantage to my suggestion is that for those who posts multiple times per day, they can simply click on "My Recent Topics" and see which topics they participated in are active or replied to since they last posted. This way, they don't have to go into a thread to know if it's been replied to or not since it is already in order of "most active."

What do most people prefer? Flat or Gloss? What techniques have you discovered, developed as for paint application? i.e. How to get the "been in flight/combat" look?

Wow... I am in awe seeing all these custom paint schemes. Damnit... now I gotta get one more of every model in my collection... 1 for stock paint scheme and 1 for alternate and/or custom paint scheme. Okie...maybe 2 more of every model... tsk tsk tsk more $$$$$.

They wouldn't be having a customer base or consumer interest problem if they would just release the shows else where like the U.S. besides just Japan. Like Cartoon Network for example... that would really broaden and increase consumer interest. I suppose all this "no release" to the U.S. has to do with licensing issues? BTW: What does "FP" stand for in the context of "YF-19FP"? How likely is it that a transformable 1/48 YF-19 toy will be released? They did an excellent job w/ the VF-1(s)... it would be a shame not to see more toys that size and w/ that kind of detail.

More newbie questions: (Again, my apologies... if these questions have already been asked.) 1.) Why can't they release the Macross Series, shows, games, etc. in the U.S.? It certainly would help the market for Macross toys, models, etc. 2.) Did the Megaroad-01 do it's first and only debute in Macross Flashback 2012?

Just a suggestion to add another topic/link such as "My Recent Topics" to the bottom of the main page along with these The moderating team | Today's active topics | Today's top 10 posters | Overall top 10 posters. It would make it much easier for people to see their recent posts and check for replies especially if they post a lot. Or perhaps the link could go in the "logged in as:" bar at the top and be a link that says "View My Recent Topics." What do you guys think?

Wow... Newbie to the forum here... HI ALL.. After reading 17 pages, I realized that there was 35 to go... I recently watched the TV series and plan to watch DYRL again because it's been so long, I forgot most of what happened in it. I've seen M-zero (minus vol 5), M+, M7(TV, Movie, & Dynamite), and Macross II. Anyhow... I've got a few questions... forgive me if they've been asked before. I'd read all the pages, but my eyes are gettin' red, dry, and veiny . 1.) It drives me nuts not knowing what happened to Hikaru, Misa, and Minmay... Any chance we could expect future series to shed some light to this matter? I mean afterall... he did leave it hangin'. 2.) I know it's been ask....and no one knows who Basara is,... the tabloids say it's Hikaru & Minmay's child, but that's just the "tabloids," simply that. Will light shed on this matter as well?? 3.) Who is Aegis Focker?? He does have the nappy blonde hair and tan skin to suggest that he is a descendant of Roy Focker and Claudia, but we all know Roy got killed. 4.) The female pilot on the "wall scroll" w/ the green hair... is that Komira and is she one of Max and Miria's child? Is she from Macross 2036? And what is the story of Macross 2036? 5.) Any new, hints, leaks on the next installment of the Macross series? 6.) In Macross II all the wonders of the world, i.e. Pyramids, the Great Wall, Piza are all located together... Were they rebuilt or moved together to make the park? 7.) Also in Macross II... I know it's depicting an alternate universe, but did anyone notice that the VF-2SS(s) and the VF-2JA(s) weren't capable of leaving earth's atmosphere? Were they trying to make it more "realistic?"

I've built plenty of models and one thing that bothers me the most is the vapor that comes off of cement glue because it fogs up and ruins the look on clear parts. What glue would you guys recommend to resolve this issue? on resin kits and plastic kits?
