  1. Both have characteristics I like, I am liking the Bandai a bit more because its sleeker profile. As for the panel lines on the Bandai are not too bad. This is truth. @ David H, not sure if anyone has posted them, but here are some landing gear shots. Those were the "quick" shots.
  2. I got mine today, haven't transformed it yet. Just took a couple of quick shots of it.
  3. Mahalo wmkjr! These are shots I took with the 7D a few weeks ago, I finally had some time to process the photos. One more set to process, Max VF-1A.
  4. Interesting, looks like I have been transforming my VF-25's wrong this whole time. I like how those panels look when they are on the shoulder rather than sloping down its back.
  5. You had me going there for a moment... I thought I had made a typo and spelled the name wrong (I do make quite a few typos). Thanks! Thanks spanner, I do have to admit the color scheme is growing on me.
  6. Great post no3ljm and thank you m30 for the hip joint info! Hopefully mine will arrive tomorrow.
  7. Time to show Kakizaki some love!
  8. My VF-19 just flew through customs, hopefully it will be delivered tomorrow.
  9. Anything stand out as things to watch out for when transforming? So Bandai can eventually sell optional missile packs.
  10. Those are amazing shots sixtybucks!!
  11. Congrats to everyone who got their VF-19's, mine will hopefully arrive by Friday. Yeah, its quite comical to see the blog pilot fig though. Have you had to a chance to check out that leg joint? What are your thoughts? I am confident it will be nice and sturdy.
  12. And sturdy, I would hate to have that joint crack. Isamu lost a lot of weight through out the years.
  13. Hahaha! Next thing is to get used to the new camera, process some photos I have taken and wait for the VF-19Adv to arrive. Nice shots.
  14. Thank you. I already know which Valk will be the first photographed with the new camera. Just have to wait for it to be released. Which should be soon. Hahaha! I have been considering reshooting all my Valks... I just might. Out of space build more shelves! That's how its done. Thanks Spanner, I am still going through names. Milia is the front runner. Thanks abbadon.
  15. I am surprised it still open. I am pretty sure it will be gone once everyone wakes up.
  16. Thanks for posting the pic swoosh! Looks like VF-19Adv went to the beach and got a bit more of a tan.
  17. Awesome Haul! Gilgazamune is an awesome figure and the VF-0D is so nice, I wish I had one. It just looks that way. Yes, I was shooting with a 7D and wanted to go to full frame for a long time. Just needed to set aside funds to make the jump.
  18. Its not quite a toy, but to fuel my other hobby... After many months of saving, cutting back on various things and toy purchases (Big thanks to Bandai and Arcadia for not many releases in 2015). I was able to buy new camera gear. BTW my hobby fund has been depleted considerably. Also I usually give my electronics girl names (Its just something I do, don't judge ). I am contemplating naming this camera Milia. What do you guys think? Any other Macross based name suggestions?
  19. I wouldn't go that far, but thank you I appreciate you kind words. Maybe I should run out do some really stupid things. I'll post a regular photo of it in the new toy general purchase thread.
  20. That is a great shot, and the gun straps look great! I wanted to buy a few of them, but I really needed to save money for the new camera gear. Also the new gear is being delivered today.
  21. Thanks chaff.g. I have been meaning to put together a write up on my shooting techniques and setups, but I always get side tracked. Life just gets in the way sometimes, I will one day have it written up. If you have any question please feel free to PM me. I don't consider myself a pro, I am still learning as I go. Most of my knowledge is from articles I have read online, tips from friends who are professional photographers and quite a bit of trial and error. Found some time for this.
  22. Thank you I appreciate your kind words. I am always trying to improve, so I am making adjustments all the time to refine my technique. I hope you are able to add a VE-1 to your collection mickyg. It's the 30th Anniversary edition. Thanks Spanner! There was a different head? You got it.
  23. Hopefully you took the VF-1J to a nice dinner.
  24. Me too.
