  1. I can't confirm 100% since I don't have the kits in front of me right now, but I would think not. Both the original decal sheet and idol version decal sheet are big decal sheets. Wouldn't make sense to include both since most people would be buying the kit for the idol version. Hasegawa does decal variant releases all the time and they pretty much never include the decals from the standard release.
  2. Ah, didn't know that about the original battroid. Any idea if that's true for the VF-0 battroid as well?
  3. I'm confused: is the Armored battroid all new parts, or a mix of old battroid parts plus new armor parts? I'd have thought anything left over from the original battroid kit would be glue-only, with only the newly made armor parts possibly being snap-fit.
  4. It means 'nevermind'. I posted a box art image for the new 1/48 Sonic Birds kit, but then I realized someone else already had. So I wanted to delete my post, but I couldn't figure out how. So I just deleted what I wrote and replaced it with 'nevermind'.
  5. Such a nice surprise to see this announcement before the Armored VF-1 is even out yet. I too would like to see a 1/72 Glaug later on, as well as Regult variants. Now if only we could get more 1/72 battroids and a 1/48 YF-22.

  7. Can anyone remember off the top of their heads, which Hasegawa kits have decals for more than one scheme? I know of the following: 1/48 & 1/72 VF-1J Super/Strike SVF-41 Black Aces ("101" & "102") 1/48 & 1/72 VF-1A VF-2 Sonic Birds (high vis & low vis) 1/48 & 1/72 VF-1A Low Visibility ("001" & "003") 1/72 VF-1EX Macross Delta (red & blue) 1/72 VF-0C VMFAT-203 Hawks (high vis & low vis) 1/72 VF-0A/S w/ Ghost ("301" & "311") 1/72 SV-51 Ivanov Type/Production Type 1/72 SV-51 w/ Twin Booster (Ivanov & Nora) 1/72 VF-22S SVF-124 Moon Shooters (black bottom & not-black bottom) Some are obvious like the many kits that let you build various members of DYRL Skull Squadron, Max/Miria kits, and the 1/48 VF-1J/A Vermilion Platoon. Am I missing anything? Kits where I might want to own more than one copy to build the different versions?
  8. Interesting surge of 1/48 repops. If they're going to keep this up, I wouldn't mind seeing a 1/48 release of the Minmei Guard scheme. Or even better, they could do a few new parts and give us 1/48 VF-1D, VE-1, or VT-1.
  9. I would love to know as well. Maybe they can't figure out how to make the dish work.
  10. I was just listing the options that seemed most likely for 1/48. I like the VF-11, but I doubt they'd do one in 1/48. I actually wish they'd release non-super Max/Miria VF-1J and VF-1D in 1/48. Also: VE-1 or VT-1.
  11. Maybe Hasegawa will decided to do one right after Wave releases theirs.
  12. Ya the Rollout 001 wasn't sold through normal channels. I don't know the specifics of its release, but I got mine through Y!J auctions.
  13. Same. I actually really like these decal variant releases. Especially the ones inspired by real world units.
  14. I dig it too. I'll get one for sure. There's a lot of other VFs out there, but it seems like Hasegawa is sticking to stuff that's shown up in the shows/movies. The only one that really baffles me is the lack of VF-171 since there's multiple versions and it's in multiple shows (I think). Seems like it would be worth doing. I can't really see Hasegawa doing obscure video game and artbook stuff. That said, I really wish they'd get around to the following: Tornado Messiah (at least it showed up in a movie) Armored VF-25 YF-29 Durandal (at least it showed up in a movie, also) YF-30 Chronos Armored VF-31 (actually I wish Bandai would do this too) VF-2SS Valkyrie II (at least it was in a show)
  15. The Wave VF-4 is all we have for now so I'm not complaining. But I did think the panel lines were a bit thicker, the details a little less refined, compared to Hasegawa VFs. Did anyone make a PE detail set for the VF-4?
  16. All I can say is... it's about time. Too bad it's not Hasegawa though. #1 because the detailing would be more delicate, #2 because knowing Hasegawa, we could look forward to some cool variations and different unit decal repops down the road. But still, I'll take what I can get. I guess we're getting at least 2 boxings out of this? The blue-green one and the beige one?
  17. This is great news for me since I've been wanting to grab an extra 1 or 2 Black Aces kits.
  18. Very cool boxart! I keep buying these decal variant repops, hoping Hasegawa will eventually feel like spending the money on a brand new mould...
  19. With all these re-issues, I wish they'd re-issue the Theo/Xao custom Draken III. Have had no luck finding one for a reasonable price.
  20. If you call 2011 'new' ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm not saying they need to replace the VF-11 mouldings, I'm just saying it'd be nice to see a new fighter type instead of the mass of decal variants we've gotten lately. The VF-31 debuted in 2017 so I guess that's the most recent 'new' moulding.
