EVA live action should be vaporware. Just because the effects company that did LOTR is attached they think its going to suceed. Macross live action though could have a better chance than EVA at working because the story itself can be easily told and sold to a wider audience. Anyone who has not sen all of EVA in its animated form would be lost to say the least if they tried to watch the live action one.

Artoo and 3PO arent the only characters in all 6 films. Theres Anakin, and Obiwan as well.. According to sources Grevious can actually hover and weild 4 lightsabers and has even bested Dooku in sparring. Given he has no fear and has trained Under Dooku its no trouble to see how he could defeat all but the best jedi. He is 80% cyborg he doesnt get tired like organics.

The coating on the glass is actually a microscopic layer of gold something about reflecting strong radar from the pilots. More so on the EA6B prowler it looks almost solid even in normal daylight. Then again with the ECM that the prowler puts out it could fry the pilots in their seats. The package on the prowler and the very well missed and more effective(supersonic) F111 raven could jam the electricity to an entire city and black it out its so strong.

its also on the 19 as well. must be something for targeting like the laser designator on the abrams or challenger tank gun barrels

Nice sketch MSW its kind of what i envisioned too just with a little steam punk but not much. I know the story is public domain but its the title that counts to the movie companies because it is copyrighted as a movie once released. Paramount tried a few times to trip up pendragon along the way and has admitted to it though they wont state exactly what. Speilberg didnt have anything to do with trying to trip them up. i think if he were allowed to he would have helped pendragon out of his own pocket. He is very much on the side of indie directors. i will see both movies but im looking forward to the true to book one more since it is what i have read since i was 7.

Finally some dead nemoidians. i think that the next pic is after the battle on coruscant. It looks very similar to a scene in the latest book where general grevious abducts palpatine and takes him up to the seperatist ship judging from the amount of dead clones and jedi strewn about. OH S#!T i just noticed that those smaller bodies are the younglings in front of yoda. Or at least young padawans.

I have no problem seeing the movie made as a live action if given the right director and creative team for the look(leave the technical designs and the characters alone) Im just pointing out the roadblocks that would be instituted by studio politics and the current advertising demographic. In america who do you think they would market the movie to, the few thousand macross fans or joe blow down the street who is still in highschool, it is scifi. If it were ever made as a live action i would wholeheartedly accept it and judge it on how the story and character interaction is portrayed based on the set existing storyline. If i go see a macross movie i want to see a macross movie not wing commander with VF1s in it. I hope that is a mindset we all share.

can you get us the kits for less than the current 279 dollar price tag? especially if it would be our 3rd kit? i am such a valkaholic. some guys have their toy 1/48s i have my model ones. sean

Get some future floor polish or Tamiya clear and add a few drops of the liquid from Tamiya gold into it to tint the clear and then airbrush on until it is as dark as you like it.

Considering that pendragon is an independant film studio with no major backing and actually getting held up by paramount during production i think the fact they were able to pull it off period speaks volumes. I dont care if the effects are perfect or if the acting is the best i just want to see the book itself made into a movie. Speilbergs movie may have all the money behind it but in the end it is just a remake of the 50s version taken in modern day. in this day where so many are wanting an origional movie i think pendragon has done well to take on the version they have.

i think we suggest caucasians because contemporary hollywood would try to stick the young fresh faces we all shovel out huge amounts at the door to go see. aside from Misa,Hikaru and Minmei how many other main characters were asian. Global was not nor Claudia,and judging from his name Roy is german. Although being russian seems to be something HG made up (i think) that actually works for Globals character. I do understand what you mean when you ask that but that answer is about the best i can think of. If Macross were made into a live action film it would have to be cut into 3 or 4 parts to properly convey the whole story. Considering the recent trend towards trilogies a live action Macross could be done it would just take an extreme amount of planning.

I can see it now, little mis spears or jessica simpsom belting out "My boyfriend is a pilot" or "Little white dragon" to a new hip hop pop beat. or Franky Muniz from malcom in the middle as Hikaru. Lets have Gary Busey play Roy. These are the types of decisions that hollywood would make while casting. Anyone remember a small movie called Wing commander. Thats what happens when you try to cram a story with that much background info into a 2 hour long hollyweird production.

i dont have any pics on my computer but i have found that the Hasegawa box art colors and the paint instructions are pretty accurate. I painted mine up using a base of dark panzer grey and black mixed about 50/50 and postshaded highlights with the panzer grey un mixed.I then painted the rest of the details in according to the instructions. It looks pretty spot on to the sreies to me.

1889 right in the books set time period. even filmed in Woking england and surrounding areas. release date March30th, indie film though so it wont get too wide a release but we might be able to buy it through the pendragon website after a bit on DVD. I know i will

Jerry Bruckheimer+Ben Afflek+Macross=suck (just for example) Proof, Armageddon great action flick except for all of Jerries trademark slowmo, scarf blowing in the wind,buff guys walking towards the camera crap. even carried it over to Pearl Harbor. Oh yeah and both had Bennifer in them too. That is how hollywood would make a Macross live action suck. They will throw all the things at the young audience that they think is cool for the masses and it will just be lame. Look at the alien franchaise including AVP now we will have a bullet time Roy stareing at a girls ass. The live action movie will lack the appeal that the animation has in my opinion

Im so weak. i need the decals to finish this one first. but anyway i wont do a buildup Jadefalconguard is spearheading that one. (bump) Update we need more pics . i hope you have not had to much trouble fitting the "foot" pieces onto the outer leg skins. Its a tricky part to assemble.

the season is over in the UK and in the last episode you see "plenty" of boomer,and boomer and boomer.... Remember there is more than one or 2 of each cylon. Boy does it get revealing.

It is always a good practice ti disassemble your airbrush and clean it regularly no matter what paint you use.Its the only way to keep it in the best working condition.
