  1. I've checked Target and TRU twice so far and there were none. Will check out K-Mart tomorrow. Wal-Mart is WAY out of reach for me.
  2. I can't hate on Dolph. He bagged Tia Carrere and her body double on Showdown in Little Tokyo. Too bad Brandon Lee didn't kick him.
  3. Oh My Fricken God... The intro to Maple Town!! Why I liked the dubbed show as a kid I'll never know.
  4. *Remembered when Fox showed nothing but shows such as Martin, In Living Color, Living Single, etc.....* I never got into Firefly. Now, Dark Angel? That was a show that was mistreated. I'm thankful for the DVDs and for Jessica Alba for dropping that punk like a bad habit.
  5. Gotdammit!!! I want an Alternator (Even though I have BT)!!!!!!
  6. Damn right I'm gettin it!!! BBTS Here I come!!
  7. Just go to Best Buy instead. They actually have reasonable prices on their DVDs. Usually <$20. Well my point is I'd rather go out to a store and get an anime DVD right there and then as opposed to having to get it online and have to wait all kinds for it to come in. I just said Sam Goody since it was the first store that came to mind. I LOVE online Anime Shoppin. I personally shop at amazon since they have the free shippin on orders over $25. I can easily spend over $100 in Anime and manga there. The main stores only stock the series that they know will sell. So you'll see plenty of Excel Saga and Inu-Yasha, but rarely see the minor shows like If I Can See You In My Dreams. Hell, I'm just beginning to see AnimEigo goods at FYE! And the most I had to wait for an item is seven days. I got an item from them as quickly as three days. Mainly cause I live real close to one of their warehouses
  8. I love Troma!! I wonder why there hasn't been any VG's based on him. It's not like the license is hard to get ( I bet Lloyd Kaufman would love it!!!) I can imagine the Final Fight style gameplay with the second person playing Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD!!
  9. I still remember the BGC article from a TurboGrafx-16 mag that was the match that lit the flame of my interest in Anime and Manga. I STILL remember slipping $20s to pasty faced guys in exchange for a couple of DBZ fansubs in a similar manner that others get their street pharmecuticals. I STILL remember paying $40 for a subbed Devil Hunter Yohko tape from an upstart named AD Vision. That was a good 8-9 years ago, and I STILL go broke buying anime and manga. I still remember gettin half the school hooked into Anime after showing the SFII movie at my Culinary Arts class. If it was a fad, I woulda dropped it years ago. My love of Anime and Manga ain't gonna be extinguished so easily.
  10. I remember watching some MTV documentery about some MTV Spring Break special or whatever back in the late 80's/early 90's and they were talking about JCVD. He went on camera as a guest star or whatever, and someone mentioned his wife and we started going on and on about how much he loved her, etc. Turns out later that night some of the crew saw him making out with some college girl in the back seat of his car. Classy guy. I heard that too from a co-worker who was actually there. Didn't surprised me a bit.
  11. Fun Fact #1: Steven Segal's daughter from his Japanese wife starred in Gamera: Guardian of the Universe, which is out on R1 DVD from ADV Films. Fun Fact #2: The classic game Mortal Kombat was originally supposed to be a digitized Final Fight like game starring JCVD. Due to unknown reasons, the deal fell through, and MK was the result, with the Johnny Cage character clearly being based on JCVD (Washed up Action star with questionable martial arts experience). Suddenly, watching Cage's intro on the first MK movie takes a whole new light, and makes a hell a lotta sense.
  12. This is a sudden loss. She was a gorgeous spirit. I was just watching Rumble in the Bronx last week, thinking how beautiful she looked when she was playing with the diamonds. May her soul rest in peace.
  13. I completely missed the point of the movie. I'd say wait for it on cable before gettin the DVD.
  14. You are not the only one waiting from Blasto. <_<
  15. My guess is it's a good 10-13 inches tall. Keep this in mind that 20th Ann. Prime towers over a fully stocked Valk, so them sucka's are big!
  16. So far in 2003, we had 1) 50 Cent/Ja Rule diss records 2) Kobe Bryant 3) Sailor Moon live action series 4) The Macross Demystified panel at Otakon 2003 5) Me spending too much money on DVDs and toys. Here's to 2004. I got a big bottle of Heineken and a pot of Black Eyed Peas to greet me tomorrow. All are welcome
  17. Resolution for 2004: Never take anything said by ANYBODY over the Internet seriously..... Not that I don't do that every year. Anyways, I like the Sailor Moon Live Action series. If only for a good laugh. PS: Disney is the main rights holder of all things Power Rangers since they bought Saban in 2001.
  18. Naah...The best Gaijin Martial Artist is Ernie Reyes, Jr! For a good Mark Dacascos picture, rent Drive. The action's sweet, and it has the chick from Just Married before she gotten too big for her own good
  19. Yeah. If only they could update the preorder buyers every now and then.
  20. Fo real?!?! Dammit!! Still haven't seen Alternators in Delaware!! I'm tired of waiting!!
  21. Supergirl (Got the 2 disc limited edition just to see Helen Slater's legs in hi-res ) Message from Space Killer Klowns from Outer Space Enemy Mine (The original bad muthafugga, Louis Gossett Jr, cover head to toe in prosthetics?! FOR SHAME!!!!!) Earth Girls are Easy (Jim Carrey before he talked outta his ass, Damon Wayans before he sold out, Jeff Goldblum before he gotten stoopid. And Miss Julie Brown playing a bubbleheaded blonde. Classic)
  22. I'm interested in this movie. Prolly be the most decent of all the comic book movies that'll be released in 2004. del Toro did great work on Blade II, except for the part when Blade did a suplex. <_
  23. The reason why they were in business is they kept American fans prepared for Jackie and Jet. After that, they were not needed.
  24. I love the film. I still remember how hard I laughed when I saw the Saving Private Ryan skit. PS: I still have an extra sealed copy of the original HK DVD for sale for those who are interested. PM me for details.
  25. It's the same weight as the Takara version.
