man i hate ami ami. Really wanted to get in on HLJ. Oh well.

Looks like everyone is sold out already. I got busy with work and missed the preorder window.  

stuff happens. I waited years for this, i can wait another month. no biggie!

HLJ are horrible about shipping. Every item i have ever ordered from them it seems comes dented in or creased.

Just want to add that these particular takatoku valkyries were sold individually in the US as part of a different toyline in the mid 80s. I had the VF-1S as a kid, and there was also an SDF-1 in the line. I forget the name of them but I remember they were sold in department stores, back when department stores had toy sections.

Finally opened my Spartan. WOW. These things are THICK. I love it!

I have a Metal Material Impulse Gundam that yellowed after 3 years in a box. I had it out on display for a few months, boxed it up, and the next time I saw it several years later every white/grey part on it had yellowed.

Want to see this.  Most of the movie was filmed close to my neighborhood. 

the vf-19, along with every other macross bird, has had a price spike 50-100 dollars in the past year or so.  Used to see these for like 200 on ebay, now people want 400 for them (where they dont sell). on the rare occasion you actually see an auction on ebay, they seem to go for like 250+.

yep, just as i thought. A quick google search confirms that Bandai Star Wars is now being distributed in NA by Bluefin. 

The reason the ones in american stores sell for more is because a distributor brings them here (presumably under agreement with bandai/disney) and it costs to import. once you factor out shipping, the cost is probably about the same.

I'm assuming that the bandai Star Wars kits are being distributed in North America by Bluefin, who handles all of the bandai gundam/tamashii nations stuff in NA.

I don't think this is true anymore.  I've seen Bandai Star Wars kits at Barnes and Nobles here in metro Atlanta.
