I have a friend who runs a game store... and he gets quite a few import games in. He told me that Sega AM2 was working on a sequal to their Macross game... and that it would include the Plus storyline. And that Bandai was working on an Mzero game... anyone else hear this?

For experience: Often people who run a game store say absurd things...

Really hope that the Bandai will not product directely their own Macross Zero game, Bandaigames+ anime license = crappy stuffs IMO.

Well the VFX-4 gerwalk is signed by Kawamori, though I'm not sure where it came from. There is a plane with an unfamiliar profile in the background of that picture; it's almost Legioss-like, but also admittedly very small and sketchily drawn.

I sent to a note to the GEARS site owner, maybe I'll get an answer.

About the Vf in the background, i'm sure that is just a red vfx-4, look at the intake and the exaust/feets.

Really like a lot more the VF-4G design, that thing is fugly IMO.

I wonder why the hase UUM-7 are that big, they look out of scale...

Toynami Veritech is okay, but definately not worth retail $80.  I'm tempted to get the Jack Archer YF-1R cuz of the color scheme and its animation error head.  Plus its going for $30-$40 on ebay, not a bad price.

In the anime in very clear that is an error, cause the 2 side cannons are something behind the vf-1A head and in the scenes before and after it's a normal Vf-1A.

4th- never received, It were little cheap stuff anyways

Looking at both references the systems work the same.

Eventhough RT doe have it's stranger than fiction (far beyond sci-fi) references, there still might be some truth to it.

I never seen the VF-1 leg system for battroid mode, so i just wanted to know if it was the real one or an unofficial one.

The price is good, here in Italy the 9 Macross DVD cost around 25€ each

The story is just the real SDFM one, robotech is robotech and Macross is Macross.

Mine italian edition have the restored AE video too and i Must say that is wonderful.

Is that hand the VF-1 one? it seems the yf/vf-19 hand to me.

After reading this thread, I realized that I never finished this game. I guess I should say thank you for reminding me that I still have this game. I did have a lot of trouble in this section of the game. What's the best way to dodge the lasers?

At the beginning of the mission you can dodge the beam lasers turning left/right and then down, when the laser is close release chaff, you will get minimal damages.

After the Neo Glaug your movements are limited so IMO is impossible dodge them, take your YF-19 down and use all the chaff you have, I survived cause my armor was at green level.

The game isn't that hard so with some pratice you' will get really strong and might beat even the ghost-x9 with a simple Vf-1 with minimal damage. Destroy the glaug with the yf-19 can be a piece of cake, (stay close and use the DSS!).

Personally i find those SW-XA near ugly, I'd rather see the VF-5000 or the VF-4 in some new series or in toy version.

Thanks, I managed to defeat the neo glaug without damage so I could resist to the Macross attacks, so I finished the game. Dodging the lasers in the end is very hard.

Decent Macross Plus game.
