  1. I'd rather buy one o the 1/72 booster for an hasegawa that spend a lot of money to build a huge model(hey it's about twice the dimension of a VF-1 right?) that fit a toy.

Make that damm dyrl hands instead

    Just my opinion. ;)

  2. HI all,

Time to ask a really simple ?, and I apologize....Are the vf's in this game variable during gameplay??

Yes you can switch between B/G/F when you want, there are some exceptions, the Vf-1J with the GBP-1S can't transform and you can't detach the armor and the VT-1 doesn't have the battroid mode.

  3. what you mean exactly?  you mean actionfigures?

the yamato 1/48 has some of the best proportions in relation to line art, and it carries though all three modes..

if you're talking about proportions in the show.. then you'll have to be more clear what you mean by "best and accurate" since (i hope we all realize) the VF's arn't real planes there isn't much to compair them to.

 Argh, i don't know how to explain...

I would like to know which are the VFs that have the most accurate proportion in all modes, imean those Valk in wich the proportions of the parts don't change or don't change too much from fighter to Gerwalk/Battroid,

example: in battroid it have smaller wings and a bigger head that in fighter, so, its porportions are wrong from fighter to battroid.

In another words if it help: The VFs in wich there is less anime magic in the trasformation porportions.

  4. I tried to paint with enamels but I can't obtain a good smooth surface.

In my town the only brand of enamel paint is the humbrol and i use humbrol thinner. (if someone know a online store where i can buy paints and other things please tell me because my local hobby store really sucks!)

The only thing that i achieve is an orrible surface, IMO is the paint that is too old and badly conserved. or is just the brand that sucks.

However, what is the right amount of thinner? I can give a try again.

  5. My opinion

I wouldn't like a vf-19 in 1/48 cause is too much big for a toy I think this scale just increase the weight and isn't pratical for transformation and posability, don't talk about the price and shipment rate :(

If is a problem make a vf-19 looks nice in all modes with perfect transformation lets make it with swappable parts, perfect transformation is just a cool feature IMO if it must create problem i prefer swappable parts.

A monster is suupposed to be HUGE so an huge monster toy is kinda cool, it is not suppose to transform so its less complicate then a valkyrie, it don't have problem of stability in all modes and I think the price will be not so high as a transformable toy too.

I want a nice not too big vf-19 toy not a huge statue of a vf-19.

  6. Definitively buy the SDF Macross tv series ;)

Even with the canadian exchange rate & customs, 7 can't cost that much. You have to understand that with the FX sets, you get 52 episodes, 1 half hour movie, & a 4 episode OVA. As for whether you like it or not, YOU WILL LISTEN TO BASARA'S SONG! :)

I saw the MAcross 7 FX set in Valkyrie exchange, what is exactly? How is the quality of video, sub and audio?

  7. I voted for HI-Detail kit because I don't like the 1/48 vernier.

What I really want however is a aftermarket  canopy, the 1/48 canopy is too wide in my opinion and ruin the look.

Ehi, someone has ever recasted the Hikaru VF-1S gummy pilot?

Well, there is someone who sell it then? :)

  9. Battlecry doesn't have Max's TV VF-1A colors as an option. It only has his VF-1J scheme (all blue).

However, the Japanese PS2 Macross game has both. (It also has the DYRL schemes for Hikaru (1A and 1S), Max (1S), and Kakizaki, the TV 1J schemes for Hikaru and Millia, the Skull One scheme, brown cannon fodder, and the standard VF-1D, VT-1, and VE-1 schemes. In addition, you can do some light customization based on the three "standard" schemes for the VF-1A (mostly monotone), VF-1J (wing stripes), and VF-1S (chestplate chevron).)

Plus there is the Hikaru's VF-4 lightning III seen in flshback 2012. YUM :p

  10. SV-51, vf-0S, yf-21, yf-19...wait a minute will the next Macross game cover the storyline of  Macross Zero and Macross Plus like Sdf MAcross and DYRL stories in the first or what?  :o

    Nobody knows for sure.

All we know is that those extra Macross Plus & macross Zero mecha were originally listed on several Japanese and English sites, including the Compendium as being in the game prior to release, but the listings were removed shortly before the game was released.

Also, there was a Bandai movie advertising the game which did show theose extra mecha. I've saved it and you can download it here. Be warned, it is 25.5MB. The YF-19, YF-21, VF-0S and SV-51 appear near the end.

    Graham

WOW awesome video, thanks Graham, I like the portraits of this version much better, I'm afraid that they didn't keep those.

I hope we'll see the macross plus and Zero mechs in the next Macross game. :)

25 MB are a joke for mine connection :D

  11. As bad as the fighter mode is, it still looks better than the crappy 1/100 VF-0 they're going to proudly release.

What? :o have you a special editon Yf-19 that looks good in fighter mode? Seriously i don't understand what have the vf-0 that looks worse that the yf-19 in fighter mode.

I find that isn't right say that a toy is crappy before it has been even released however.
