  1. Just curious Nanashi, why do you use the table background tag to display the images instead of a regular image tag?

That way no one can actually save the pictures he posts online (at least easily).

well considering the actual url of the image, it is very easy

no kidding couple clicks and i copied the url to my download manager.

the personal library grows muahahahaha

I usually just hit "save page as" then select "web page, complete" to defeat such protections. Then I just yank the pic out of the new directory at my leisure.

With firefox you can simple display the page info and save any media file in the page, I think that is possible with mozilla and other Non-IE browser too.

  2. thanks for all your replies, hopefully tomorrow at night i`ll post the finished model.

and graham about that variable zero you just convinced me to do a semi-variable one. still have some payments to do but as soon as i'm off with them i'll buy a zero and make it semi-variable like the bandai 1/72 variable kit.

unlike this project the semi-variable one will be documented with photos from the start of the project, i'll try to show it in a way that can make it look easy and be easy to do a custom one for anybody, and then we can all be free from those slackers at yamato who after 2 years haven't released any macross zero stuff. i think we can show them that we can do a variable zero...

by the way if anyone knows where to order polycaps and ball joints please let me know so i can get ahead with this project wich will be dedicated to everyone in this forums.

Policaps and ball joint can be ordered form HLJ.com. I know only this site.

This guy made a resin kit of the yf-19 posable and He writed down all the joint system used and took some pics, it may help you. ;)

  3. Ok, Eternal D was working on the dyrl hands but if can't complete the work there aren't atoher users who can make them? I mean... I see a lot of complex projects like the Valks atmosferic booster, launch arm, valk-girl dolls... its so hard make aftermarket hands for the 1/48 vf-1? We have some very skilled modeler, and I think that a lot of people is interested in them.

    :)

  4. Oh, and one last thing:

Give me my new YF-19!!!  I dont care about the fast packs.....cuz they are UGLY (at least the Mac7 ones...are thsoe the same?  cuz those are hideous)

Show me the newly engineered sexy 1/48 YF-19!!  Ill buy a dozen :D

The M+ atmospheric fastpack are very simple and nice in all modes, the macross 7 ones are good in Fighter mode but IMO orrible in the others modes or at least very weird.

Due to the simplicity of the yf-19 fastpack they should include them just like the VF-0 fastpack.

  5. One thing that I don't understand of this kit is why the hell Hasegawa didn't include a VFX-2 pilot.

I'll be gratefull if you may focus on paint and weathering techs when you are at that point. ;)

Agree. But then Hasegawa would need to make new molds for it, no quite the same as releasing new decals.

The VFX-2 suits are so different from previous generations of suits. Looks kinda retro.

They did a new pilot for the vf-22S, why don't do the same thing for the vf-19A?

Because the VF-22S was a macross 7 release which had Max and Milia piloting it. The VFX-2 VF-19A is from some obscure video game.

Ok, ok, this make sense. ;)

  7. so you mean the southern cross and mospeada shouldn't be even part of this forum? Whay isn't it a macross model, your the first one that has been very negative...hmmmmm?

It goes in OTHER ANIME or science fiction, I think Graham already told you this here.

Just don't open 10 topic for the same thing at least, open a single topic in Other anime section.

I just think it isn't right in the cares of the others users, however there are rules in this forum and you should read them.

  8. Please stop to open topics about this project, I understand that is important for you but it isn't even a MACROSS model and I don't think is right open a lot of threads for the same topic.

    YF-19

The best thing about this kit is that very differently form the Yamato One it has NICE legs, they are the right size, pretty in each mode and looks more posable too, at least in gerwalk.  I think that we can agree that the Yamato legs are ugly.

There is sometyhing weird with the shield and head in fighter and with the torso area in battorid mode but so far is one of the most beauty variable yf-19 I ever saw.

Now, if  this design could be upscaled in 1:72, improved and became the new Yamato YF-19 FP...

I have to agree, nice kit but Battroid is still er... for me. And it has been done in 1/72 with nearly perfect proportions (customized Hasegawa model). I would do a 1:1 trade with a Strike Low Vis 1/48 for this right now (June 2002 Model Graphix):

Here it is my favorite variable yf-19 :D

Thanks for the large pics, there was another customized perfect transformation Hase yf-19 if i'm not wrong, it looks great in fighter and gerwalk but IMO like ass in battroid, do you have some large pics of it? (transformation sequence)
