  1. Zeagle Diver hooked me up with another Low Vis and shipped promptly and packaged well.  Thanks man!

1 VF-1 2NV And I worked out a deal for his LV w/jacked box.  Everything worked out and the valk was shipped and packaged well.  Thanks a lot!

DARTHTODD Also hooked me up with an LV too.  The Valk arrived packed well and promptly.

AMPED  hooked me up to complete this Low Viz trifecta of collecting and positive feedback.  Like the above members, everything went smoothly and arrived in great condition.

Looks like Godzilla has some competition with the LV.

Heh... I was hoping that would fly under the radar a bit!

  2.

that's just wrong... but hell he left it wide open...

    I picked my words carefully.

Anyway, the 'plugs aren't an issue with these ones. The pilot seems softer so you can manipulate it into the cockpit fine.

    Initial thoughts -

A lot of frickin' stickers! The wheels/struts (as Soze mentioned) are kinda wimpy and pointless though I imagine one could slip a few molecules underneath the chest plate.

Feels nice and hefty... A bit like the 1/60s do (b/c of the diecast).

I haven't transformed it yet as I want to finish putting the stickers on while its in fighter mode. I'll u/l some pics sometime tomorrow.

I definately dig it and I'm glad I'll be getting a few more!

  3. does any one know if the clear display stand would work with this?

considering the landing gears are completely useless

i can't see why not? the flexi displays hold just about everything you could imagine so i dont' see it being a problem.

Wow!! First Haterist post in a MPC thread that isn't negative!

j/k... I should be getting one of mine in today and I can check to see if the stands would do fine. I can't imagine why they wouldn't.

Copied from a post earlier, FSPRO has not sent me the Doyusha Diecast toy he sold me for $30. Also, this guy has some auctions on eBay up now (also Diecast). I'd stay away...

Post from earlier on today -

Not to be a jerk and all but I wanted to give people here a heads-up that I still haven't received this Doyusha from fspro. I too live in the Los Angeles area and I know it only takes 1-2 days (max) to send something within the area. I've emailed this guy asking if he sent the item and he hasn't replied. My next step will be to leave a blacklist posting but I wanted to give fspro a chance to reply before doing that.

Also, payment was originally sent on 07/21/04

Consider this a blacklist posting for FSPRO

Item finally arrived from Simi Valley CA (not too far from me).

Interesting in that the street he lives on is Medina .... coincidence? I'm not too into circumstantial evidence but that does sound mighty familiar!

  5. So I dig my 1/48s as they are but I really think the missiles they come with look like crap... simple question here - what kind of paint should I use on them? I remember reading somewhere that the Tamiya paints are kinda crappy so I wanted to avoid those ones unless they're actually OK.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. So the quote below was from 'Die, Alien Scum'.... I was checking out some eBay cats today and saw some great deals. Was thinking of pulling the trigger until I noticed the username.

Most of the junk he's got + feedback on is small-ticket ($10-$20) items too.

    His auctions

    Buyer Beware...

Hello all. I'm a new member, but I've been a lurker for some time now. This is my first post, and unfortunately it's going into this topic. Fortunately, it doesn't involve a MW member (to the best of my knowledge).

I must nominate the eBay seller "collector1118" for the Blacklist. This seller is only recently unregistered with eBay, so luckily he cannot attempt to defraud anyone else with this ID. However, he is still going by "johnthomas1951" and he may try his scam again.

I had the poor luck of trying to buy some Yamato 1/48s from him and almost ended up losing a great deal of money. His real name appears to be Alex Medina and he has a reputation for taking money and not sending items. This loser will not respond to any phone calls or e-mails, but he will e-mail you the occasional BS story about shipping delays, mis-shipped items, or some other crap.

After weeks of unsuccessful communication attempts, I ended up having to deal with his mother. She goes by Kathleen Snook, and she shared the "collector1118" ID with Alex. She was less than helpful until I was forced to threaten both of them with legal action. Then, and only then, did she issue me a full refund. In all it took me over a month of near-harassment to get back my money and it became the biggest hassle I've ever had to deal with. You'd all be able to read my negative feedback for this jackass, but he cancelled the ID before I could leave any.

As "johnthomas1951", Alex has only sold one 1/48. I contacted the buyer to warn him he may lose his money, but he actually did receive his Miria Super. He expressed to me that it wasn't MISB, as stated in the auction, but it appeared to be in near-perfect condition. He said he was just happy to actually receive his item and left postive feedback for the seller.

Anyway, I just wanted to warn you all before you get involved with this fool. Thanks for your time and sorry for the long post.

  7. Thanks for the answer knight... I too like this current series but for whatever reason, the JLA series is more 'watchable'. I think I could sit down and watch a handful of those episodes back to back but with this series, it's limited to only a couple/viewing.

    And the alien is cool!

  8. Sorry to bump this but I got the 1st season set on DVD yesterday and I've got a quick question -

    1. While the storylines are cool and I do like the art-style, are all of the episodes pseudo-comic style? I feel like I'm watching a cool cartoon from the 70's or something (cool like old Disney, not Sea Lab). Perhaps I lack imagination but I find the JLA animation/colors to be a bit more pleasing. I'm still digging the series but find it a little more difficult to get into.

  10. Earlier post was for Max...I just located Milia and she is also #12 of 15000 going for the same BIN $450.00!!!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5913151378&rd=1

I know this guy. Some you know that I sell MPCs on eBay. I used to sell to this cat, and he'd pay immediately and turn it around and jack up the prices by $30 or so. He doesn't sell as much as I do but if you take a look at his past auctions, people do buy these things. $450 is insane but I wouldn't be surprised if he found a taker some time this month. I also wouldn't be surprised if the got these puppies off of eBay recently.

Also, regarding the MPC armor, it's insane how those prices have sky-rocketed. I luckily found a set for cheap (packaged with a VOL1 and a poor description). I haven't decided if I'll eBay it or sell an MPC set with it. I think it's become the most difficult piece to track down (even more than the bookends)!
