  1. You took my words further than they are meant to go. I don't mean I hated the message they are giving me, I just don't like political propaganda in my entertainment. Here is an example: I grew up in a marginally religious house. We go to church for christmas and easter. I don't have a problem with anyone's religion, but when someone stops me on the street, and they trys to tell me that they have this whole religion thing nailed, and I have to listen to them or else... I lose my sh!t. I typically threaten them physically, even if none of the things they are saying are really offensive to me... Its just not their place to interrupt my day. If I want a political message, or a religious message to absorb, I will find it myself. I also like animals. Recently had some shark fin soup in China, and I was furious when I found out what it was... I let my hosts know I did not appreciate what they had given me.
  2. Same, and I don't like Country music either. I actually liked the Vice season. Major departure without making the show lame. They tried this in Venture Bros and I think that got screwed up. HAHA... I am fairly certain that there is a residual effect of habitual coke use. I had some friends in high school that were all about it, they were nice people who immediately turned into horrible people... Now years later, they are clean, but still are NOT nice people. I hate how people think coke is a casual drug. Total life ruiner. Right up there with meth and heroin.
  3. You need to look up the term. You know whats better than the 'progressive' pansy ass human condition movies? Human centipede movies... I agree with the human centipede films more than the human condition ones.
  4. The 'human condition' is a buzzword meaning people don't have to take responsibility for their actions. A 'progressive' term for those who want to blame society for their problems... You can't use the two bolded phrases together. That doesn't make sense. Aside from my not liking your selection of words, I think you are attempting to make a point, but you are distracted by saying that the writers are idiots and JJ is all about lens flares. Please provide the deep messages that you receive the first 6 Star Trek films. Here is my list: Star Trek the Motion Picture - We made the enterprise shiny, and the whole film could have been cut to the length of a trailer without losing any value. Star Trek II - Crazy MutherFukers can show up anywhere, even on abandoned moons. Star Trek III - Its good to have friends Star Trek IV - We ran out of money, so we thought to shoot a film running in plain clothes running around San Francisco, all while ramming a political message down everyone's throat. Star Trek V - A remake of the Motion Picture, but instead of flying the enterprise into a big white cloud, this time it will be a red cloud. Star Trek VI - Hey we made a badass movie! Its about the division between exploration and the temptations of conquest (kind of the whole premise of the TV show). This is a movie that is actually worth seeing! Now you go.
  5. She was a coke addict. Ever met any? They are the most annoying people. cocaine is a horrible drug that basically makes everyone who takes it an assh0le that sees themselves as the only real people in the world, with the people surrounding them just as obstacles that are like bowling pins.
  6. I spoke with a Lotus driver and they said its a similar experience. From a chassis standpoint, the mono-tub design is almost the same, louts using aluminum, and Alfa using carbon fiber. I like that its priced to be a daily driver also.
  7. You guys have any thoughts on this? Other than underpowered, it has a power to weight close to a 911S for about half the price, and I think its beautiful. Alfa Romeo 4C https://4c.alfaromeo.com Reminds me of my Lotus, but a bit more of a real car and less of a race car.
  8. Yes total Lancia. Couldn't place where I had seen that design. And yes, bespoke cars are things that tuners do, not a manufacturer. Total dilution of the brand.
  9. 1. You are right about the vents, and how people buy true performance cars, and have no idea what they have. (I like how Ferrari now requires completion of track days before letting you buy). Lotus invites you for free, but its not a requirement. 2. Yes on the big car argument. American sports cars have become couches for fat people on wheels. Sports cars and race cars are based on power to weight ratio, meaning the weight of the driver also. I see a 400 lb guy tracking his vette every once in a while in San Francisco. He spends thousands on performance parts, and I really want to tell him that he could shave 200lbs on and not spend a penny. Also might live longer.
  10. I just feel form should follow function. fake or useless ducting or venting, is just one of my points of irritation in automotive design... When you buy a Ferrari, or Lotus, you buy it because it has the capability... I tracked my Lotus because it had that capability. Funny enough, after owning a lotus, I have no desire to track my 911 because by comparison, it really isn't as fun to drive as the Lotus. Next car will be a track car.
  11. You are both right. If we are to only to discuss triangle, then we need to lock the thread, as we have no information yet.
  12. You'd think, but I had some Star Wars Rebels episodes on my iPhone which I watched immediately after. It made up for the abomination that TMNT was.
  13. Ducts behind the doors are fake and stupid. The engine is in front, stop trying to pretend this is a mid-engine exotic. Its not... Having said that, the rest of the design is pretty good. Also, brakes do not need cooling. F1 cars do not have special brake ducts, so road cars certainly do not.
