For me its a storage issue. I can't keep collecting toys that I can't display. My 1/48s take up all the space I am willing to give to display toys, so it is more than a money issue to me, I'd have to want to buy something, but more than that I'd also have to want it so bad that I am willing to put a 1/48 away to display it. I'd say other than a DYRL style Macross, there is nothing that will entice me to do that.

Dude, I work in marketing... If you introduce a product, lets say a TV show, and the public only likes ONE aspect of that show, you expand on THAT aspect and ONLY THAT aspect... RT came out and everyone liked the Macross part of it, and to a lesser extent Mospeda. It isn't a matter of failed promotion of SC on HG's part, it is a matter of money. They know they can make money marketing Macross.

I know... but godd@mnit.....to have a blurb on the 2nd Robotech War...and talk mostly about The Macross Saga characters....that's beyond shitty. I already sent a rather caustic letter to the editor of Newtype letting them know my displeasure. Its no wonder people claim to have never heard and/or seen anything about Robotech Masters/Southern Cross when all the people fixate on Macross. If one cares to look at Robotech in a analytical way, just in bredth and depth of the story, Macross is an incredibly complex and awesome story, Southern Cross is simply overshadowed... Standing on its own it may actually be great. I personally think RT would have been better with JUST Macross and Mospeda, loosely connected. The shows cary a more comparable strength.

Just so you guys know, in case you run into her, she hates talking about Macross. She really isn't fond of the fact that so many people still call her Lynn Minmay. So if you do see her don't do anything stupid like asking her to quote one of her Minmay lines. Just say you love her voice or something.

AAAAHHH! For a second there I got excited and thought this thread would be about how Mylene should be beat... like with a stick. Actually M7 manga is better than the M7 show only because you don't have to hear it.
