Is there any way to aquire a Japanese Transformers Season One set of any kind? I like the Transformers, but Im curious what it would be like without soooooo many commercial breaks, and with an actually catchy theme song, and how the mecha would sound with japanese voices and stuff.

You'd think thered be an HK set of it out, but I havent seen it.

Anyone know?

The Escaflowne movie was great.

sorry to say this but tha tone sucked. the character design was bad it self sicn ehtey changed it. they changed all th ehcaracters adn their pail comparisons to their tv counterparts to th epoin tha tthey ruiend alot of them.

Well... Originally mechwarrior as you may know, had VF-1s included in its initial lineup. However, when FASA got into a bit of trouble with Harmony Gold over who had the rights to the VF-1s, they removed them from the lineup. This is a very very condensed version of what happened, so you'll have to look elsewhere for more info...

Now, what may be possible is that FASA produced/liscenced some VF-1 toys, however I'm not even sure of that either.

when I was a kid we visited a relatives house and they had this model kit/ toy which was trasnformable like a valkyrie(i belive) and looked vert battel techish. I vaaugly rmemebr it and woudl liek to see what it was any clues?

Has anyone found a good one, I don't wanna regret selling mine. Throughout all the sites I have visited, they say they "are getting there". And just to make sure, you Do need a dvd-rom. Y'know, the PC will be the ultimate gaming machine (if you can afford it); Easy updates, tweakability, universal (once all the emulators are out) for all types off games, etc.

Well, any info would be much appreciated.

One problem with emulation is the fact that it's so processor intensive.

Right now, a 1 Ghz machine (mine) is just enough to run a SNES emulator with some graphical filters...

I'd hate to find out what a PS2 emulator will need to properly run...

FYI, emulators are legal, provided they do not use any proprietary code. The Roms however, are not legal (unless they were freeware to begin with).

Personally, if you like a PS2 so much, just go and buy one. The only reason why I have a Snes and Genesis emulator is because

1) The Snes is no longer being produced

2) The cartriges are getting old

3) Stores are charging $100 for Chrono Trigger (and yes I know about the PS1 version)

Technically, I'm not hurting Nintendo or Sega with these emulators as the sale and production of the SNES or Genesis has long stopped. However, if you get a PS2 emulator and the roms you are hurting Sony.

lol!  Beta.....my parents old Beta is still working, so it and all our tapes are in my bedroom now.  Our Wal-Mart carried blank Beta tapes for while, but no longer.  And yeah, old commericals are great

Yeah, we bought a Beta player back in like '81 or '82. We still have the thing. Only had to get it fixed like twice. Great VCR, actually. Recorded "Robotech" every day because it started at 3 pm and I didn't get out of school until 3:20.

Mom & Dad still have the Beta, along with a cupboard full of tapes. I'm gonna have to check all of those out next time I'm home. I think we even have the original CBS broadcast of "Star Wars" still on tape.

my friend did that too. made me copies of robotech when I wa sin highschool. years before it was rereleased. it was one of th ehighlights on my highshcool life.
