New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
Fort Max replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Damn you! My Asshimar should be here allready... On that note about display stands, I can see the HCM Pro line going the same way as the MG line and including some kind of stand for every new figure from this point. Since some of the MG stands have been pretty sweet (I'm think of the catapult replicas here) I wouldn't mind that at all. Oh, and that MKII set is going to rock, so glad I didn't get the AEUG version allready. -

The perfect change Getter is a work of shear madness, I wouldn't expect something with that many moving parts to be solid. The Gunbuster is much simpler by comparison. Dann may not be amazing but I really like the deisgn and love the show, plus it has a much better size/price ratio then most of SHE's tuff. -

I'm getting one of their figures soon as I've been itching to sample SHE for myself. They've moved on a fair bit from their early kit only products, they're all now fully built and finsihed out of the box and the newer stuff is supposedly made of stronger resin or whatever it is they use. Their Goldymarg looks particulary solid and well built. When I get Dann I'll put my thoughts on the figure and SHE's work in general up for all to see. It's not completley finished yet, they might still do that. SHE are usually very good at attention to detail. -

Best (new) Anime Series You´ve seen lately
Fort Max replied to Aegis!'s topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Eureaka Seven is absolutely tops for me and complementaing that is GunXSword. I've also recentley started watching Noein, which is certainly pretty. Seems to be a time travel drama, plot has been mostly fairly standard paradox stuff. But it hasn't really made a lot clear in the 3 episodes I've seen. Still keeping up with Bleach, Aquarion and I've dipped into Black Cat, that's it for me. Anyone watching anything really good that's yet to gain any recognition? -
Eureka in particular looks substantially, er.. cuter in the manga.
-
Right on, That final scene with Eureka's reaction to Rentons almost ignorance of her after she finally managed to swallow her pride was just amazing to watch. So brief but so memorable. btw, If you really like the show then check out the translated mangas by the same group. 5 are out so far and it looks like it could end up being very different.
-
I was just discussing this show with my friend and we both aggreed on how completely different and refreshing it feels to watch this after wading through Destiny. I particulary noticed the bit in 18 where Woz asks Renton to "move the Nirvrash a little" and so Renton tears down the ramp and spins it while standing up. Try finding that in Gundam.

A fair few people have said that, both the Asshimars and the Destiny Deactive stands are strudy and do what they do so well that bandai would be stupid not to sell them seperately in some form or another. I'd prefer the Destiny stands as they have a much smaller footprint and they're nicely translucent. In the meantime though I'm going to give these a try, http://www.hlj.com/product/YLSPPC-28 -
But that's why I like it, Destiny got so repetative with it having a full launch sequence & half a battle every episode. Anyways the next episode looks like it should have some interesting secret to spill and it's out now. Joy!

I saw some screenshots of Holland in a military uniform so I think it could start as a prequel and maybe run alongside the show as you can play the Nirvarsh too. The game does look like a lot of fun, a real time giant robot action surfing RPG. How can that not be cool. I hope bandai brings it over with their trademark big marketing push.
-
I can't be the only person still watching this show, it's getting really good now. Eps 16-17 & mangas 1-5 are out translated & the 1st soundtrack (2 discs) and ps2 game are out in japan.

Looks like Nu Gundams next up for a raping.

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
Fort Max replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
the guntank is decent, there is virtually no movement compared to the other hcm-pro, and on mine the 2 main guns do not stay on at all. but i really had to pick it up so i can have the 3 main gundams (gundam, guntank, guncannon) from the original tv series side by side 340962[/snapback] I'm just filling in the gaps in my collection of pros (all, except repaints is what I aim for) since I didn't buy all of the four first ones. I actually still have original Gundam left to get but I've got this sneaking feeling that if I wait, Bandai will put out one with a core fighter... -

I just ordered the deactive set along with an HCM Pro Guntank and a Takara Actic Gear Round mover scopedog. -
That is a really good sounding idea, a truly modern version of war of the worlds with Gundams! I'd pay to see that.

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...

I'm sorely tempted, I get paid on Monday so I'll be buying last months toys then. But I also need to think about Chrimbo presents. -
Well there's a RK Savage in the second series so they haven't completley ignored the lesser AS. And while the second series inculdes an Arbalest varient and the stealth M9 I think there's still enough other Mithril varients to make up a third collection with the ones you mentioned. Translucent active ECS M9's anyone? edit: A teeney bit of digging turned up this page from Atlieri Sai's own site showing the series two figures from a few different angles each, http://www.atsai.co.jp/arthobby/page041.html I love the "in action" Arbalest but is that the Arbalest again in the flight pack? I can't quite tell. edit2: I just translated the page with Altavista and it has this to say about the flight pack, "- The urgent development booster (AS has not belonged.) * This docks 1st feature arbor rest, M9, 2nd feature ファルケ! !" I don't want to get my hopes up but that sounds quite promising.
-
I just got Xabungle last week, he's quite a gem if you don't mind the small size & transformation concessions. Worth waiting for IMO, he's a very fun piece. I just keep picking him up.
-
Maybe I have low standards but they lookok for 600yen each. They're the only AS figures out there, they have articulation and swappable weapons and you get 10 for 6000yen. They'll do me just fine untill one of the bigger boys finally sees some profit in these designs.
-
It's another production run, nothing like the Renewal Mazinger but all three will be available again.
-
The first set of Arm Slave trading figures is out now and they're by Atlieri Sai so they should be pretty good. I'll let you know when my box arrives. http://www.hlj.com/product/ATS82006

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
Fort Max replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I was thinking about a Strike set when I saw the MkII but rather then your suggestion of having three packs and two skygraspers in one set I think Bandai would spread it out a little more. For example, Stirke Gundam in active colours with Aile, Sword and Launcher + one Skygrasper Strike Gundam in de-active colours with IWSP Strike Rouge with Aile and second Skygrasper That way you can pick and choose what you want with an incentive for each set, personally I'd only get the first two. I can't understand why they left the beam wings off the HCMP Destiny, it just doesn't make a lick of sense. Has anyone seen anything new on the Zeta pro in this months mags? -

I'd so much rather buy that Dix Neuf then waves super exspensive PVC and the ships are just a beautifull bonus. Also, Studio Halfeye have started up work on their transformable Gunbuster again, http://halfeye.m78.com/himiken/t-ken/t-ken.html most of us will never be able to afford it but you just know it's going to be a thing of beauty.
