nemesis120 or anyone else,
I sort of like that Imai 1/350 Yamato model. Star Blazers was the first piece of Anime I remember watching. Either that or Speed Racer, anyone remember which came first? Anyways can anyone tell me how common this kit is? With selling and buying a house next week now is not the best time for me to pick somethink like that up. However I really like that bare wood and metal look. Anyone here have this kit and can comment on it?
Thanks,
Carl
This is the first time I've seen that kit, although I wasn't really looking, although I'd guess it's rare, especially as it has the newer Imai logo, so odds are there weren't a lot made. It will come up again (everything does, even Treads).

Hey Guys,
I am so happy! I just got this! Yes it is a Hasegawa VF-1A, but it is autographed by the great froating head himself! It may not be much but it is something I have always wanted.
Nice. I saw that auction too (almost bid on it), and it wasn't that bad (price-wise)

If I had $800+ to spend on this, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Wow a Dorvack fan, you guys are few and far between.
Yeah, we definitely are. I had a 1/48 Variable Calibur but I let it go (definitely couldn't do it justice).
A friggin huge Imai 1/350 Yamato model. To give you an idea how big this thing is, it's about 2 and a half feet long (and probably the biggest Yamato model out there)

Macross 7 stuff - looks to be interesting

The first is an Orguss Orgroid. In the second picture, (left to right) a Destroid defender, destroid spartan, and a destroid phalanx, all in the Matchbox colors

Not really... I've seen members sell them for great prices, but they usually appear when I'm low on funds...
I think everyone's that way, although I remember, you actually got a GBP.
And who wouldn't want Bandai to reissue that (or any of the other stuff they haven't reissued)? Of all the Valkyrie toys, the GBP, Hikaru's strike, the elintseeker and the super ostrich have all retained a good amount of their value, even though Yamato has released versions of them.

One awesome Yamato lot, although I wouldn't pay $2500 for it.
wow, didn't know they made all those yamato ships! That must be all the yamato ships they ever made. Man that's an awesome collection.
Actually it's not, as it doesn't have any of the Nomura Yamatos
got any links or pictures of all the yamato's ever made?
Not all of them, but this place has a decent guide for some of the older ones

If I had the money for this, I'd buy it right away

Now that I bothered to read the thing (read it before and just saw the new price this time), it's not a good deal - 18,000 yen for that super valk and the loose vf-1s.
Look at who bought it. Boy is he gonna be surprised about that (not that I think people here have sympathy for him)

I'd definitely say the second one got out of hand. But, in all honesty, I'd say all this got a little out of hand. People are saying how posting in other forums (here on MW) is a sign someone isn't here to scam people and how doing trades and selling with others is a sign they aren't here to scam people (pretty hard to trade if nobody is willing to trade or buy from you). And last time I checked, this guy obviously scammed other people and was smart about it (empty boxes, tracking numbers). But I've had people accuse me of scamming them and that kind of crap (on ebay) and that definitely shouldn't be tolerated, and people having a hissy fit about shipping is just crap, as it is part of what you spend on the item.

nothing here anymore
Hmmm... I didn't see this post while there was something here. Just out of curiousity, did you post about this auction?
http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f23146227
I was very greatful to everyone that sent me a PM to tell me about it and didn't openly post about it. Seeing your post makes me wonder if I'm indirectly responsible for your post being withdrawn.
Anyways... here is my newest kit everyone... for those of you that now can't open the above auction.
I never thought I'd get this before I got Ken's recast. For those of you that like to help be my eyes and ears out there the top three items on my most wanted list are now:
(1) The D'Stance YF-21 (with or without fast packs)
http://park1.wakwak.com/~jasshy/yf21.html
(2) The Club-M 1:48 VF-19
http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/ads/ads_models_c2.htm
(3) This Mospeada Book
Nope, although I almost did. And didn't that Mospeada book go for a ton last time around? Although I'll definitely keep a look out for that other stuff, since I actually do let people know about stuff.
-
Are you sure thats not another original?
Yeah, I'm sure. For one thing it's got that sticker next to the Club M logo that the original doesn't, and the description says so.
-
And, if anyone can't afford the original, here's a recast

If anyone really wants the magazine, here's the amazon.co.jp link for it. They ship internationally, and you can make the checkout and signup stuff in english (I think, I just have it down from before so I don't bother). btw if you're in the US and you order, I'd go with the surface shipping - always gets to me in a week or so.

wow Christanna Mall....who would have thought .... wherever that is...
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's in Newark, DE. I used to work there when I was in college (ah .... college). It was a big draw for folks in Philly, DE, and Maryland since there's no sales tax.
I hadn't thought of that place in years. Small world.
Eh.. yeah I meant Newark Delaware not Wilmington.
As much as I hate to say it, I'm pretty sure it's not in Newark. Can't stand the place either (Concord mall is still crap but there's tons of stores up there). Definitely a small world since I actually go to UD (friggin hate that place - a day late for a tuition payment and they flip out but they wait like 3 months to reimburse you for anything).

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Check out this auction from our old buddy arafat!

On that same note, here's an example of his C-10+++ and MIB (yeah, in the USPS box) crap

Hmmm... if I had to guess I'd guess it will go for atleast 50,000 yen.
Well I see it sold for 55,100 yen. What did I tell you? Anyways did you get it Jessee? I think that's a rather good price for this kit.
Let me know. I'm curious,
Carl
I'll wait for Jesse to answer but here is a hint....
That's what I would say based off of the bidding history. Celga, Rinkya and Rob (monkey-n) all bid on that auction.

Something else I haven't seen before

This weekend, I found some random models I bought on ebay a few months ago, one of which was an Imai 1/100 vf-1a armored valk. The parts are still sealed and all, but it has a seperate english instruction set (in addition to the instructions in the bags). As in the instructions, except entirely in english (from the way they look, it's obvious that its actual instructions), with the color guide in like half a dozen languages. It's also got a made in japan sticker on the front (something a manufacturer needs to put on it if they're exporting it to the us). Does anyone else have this with english instructions, or did I just stumble on to something rare (I've never seen or heard of it with english instructions)?

how the hell did that guy do that without snaping the hips or arms??
He obviously took of some of the parts on the Zeta. As to how he actually got the thing to balance, I would like to know.
