  1. Being most of the way through this horrible semester, even though I might be in college another year (everyone has to get a C- in one class to take the next one and only half the class gets a C- or above).

Being with family, and moving (possibly, I still haven't decided) away from the roommate.

  2. I just realized it is really difficult to haul large boxes of books on a scooter.

i have updated the frist post again. Those who have "Book Purchased" next to their names are garunteed to get a set.

    Rob

Yeah, I would imagine that it would be difficult to do that. Since you've got a large number of them, what is the Gundam figure for this one? I think it was some Zeta Gundam thing but I don't remember. And I definitely sent payment for 2 this morning (definitely glad tomorrow's Thanksgiving - payday came a day early).

  3. Depending as to what you watch, yes. I'd say just skip the AUs (Wing, X, G, and Seed), with the exception of Turn A. I'd say to get the movies, but realize that they are condensed versions. And I'd stay away from any of the OVAs and, that Wing movie, and the 0083 Movie (Last Blitz of Zeon?) First Gundam, Zeta, ZZ, and F91 are good. Definitely start off with some of the First Gundam stuff though, since you won't understand a thing without it. And, in response to what other people have said, everyone can say half that stuff about every anime (I do).

  4. Freddy Got Fingered?

    :o

    LOL

I wasn't sure if anyone else had ever seen that suck ass movie. It did have a funny side though.

Last year one of my friends practically got into a fight with the RA over that movie (he loved it, was drunk and wouldn't shut up about it and my RA just started threatening him, so practically had to drag him back to his room).

I'd have to say Alien 3 though, since I really wouldn't count LotR (any of them) as sci-fi (yes, I hate those movies). Although, for more candidates for this list, just watch sci-fi during the weekends, all (pretty much) those films would make this list.

  5. I wouldn't suggest using a CD-ROM drive for use with an emulator... you get MUCH better performance by ripping the disk.

I have conectix vgs and I love the thing. Not only does it play all games (legit ones) it will run any game just as well as a playstation (except for the resolution) on a Celeron 333 with windows 98 and 32 megs of ram. Of course, on my laptop I had to get a mod version for windows xp.

  6. If you ever liked side scrolling shooters, get Ikaruga. If you never tried them, get Ikaruga. Resident Evil is worth it if you can get it for under $20, Resident Evil 0, well don't ever speak of it. You might want Rogue Squadron, but only if it's cheap (I just thought something was off with this game). And Pikmin was good. And Skies of Arcadia. For racing, Auto Modellista is supposed to be halfway decent.

  7. Too bad we don't get Front Mission Alternative, that's the only FM game Ihave yet to play.

You know, I've had that game for more than 2 years. Haven't actually gotten around to playing it. Actually, I think I put it in to test it once I got it and played it for like 15 minutes. Other than that, I haven't bothered to touch it. Half the time I forget I have the thing.

  8. Yamato/bandai CF are very easy to get and sometimes with a discount! <_< Should be this for every toy/line the right way?

Pretty much everything is that way. Like everything people buy isn't at MSRP unless it has the manufacturer's price tag on it. And then there's the MPC. But other than that, practically nothing retails for MSRP without a tag, even when it's a new release. When's the last time you paid $55 or $57 for a video game? Odds are you haven't, even those are the standard MSRP.

  9. I'd much rather have a 1/55 instead of the corresponding 1/60 (I don't have a 1/48 although the Hikaru VF-1S is tempting) because I think the Yamatos have huge problems that the Bandais don't have. Accuracy, for me at least, isn't that big of an issue as long as they aren't totally inaccurate. Especially since Bandais/Takatokus are better in a number of categories.

  10. Thanks for this Shawn. Who doesn't love 20 year old commercials in foreign languages? It would have been nice if this were a full length (30 second), well, at least the Super Valk part. It also would have been nice if these were included on the 20th anniversary DVD. But it's still good to see it.
