  1. A7, I'm sending you an bill for the keyboard I just spat coffee all over. LOL!
  2. A trilogy? Happy dance indeed!
  3. With the production duties resting in Harry Knowles' meaty, sweaty hands? [Tarkin] I think you overestimate their chances [/Tarkin] And if Milius does ever get to make another Conan flick (and it should only be Milius to make it) then I don't think you have to worry about excessive CGI. He'd likley do it completely old school, by casting 100,000 extras for the battle scenes, building a castle completely from scratch, and importing 1,000,000 tons of soil from Mongolia to dress the sets because it has the right "feel" to it. Of course, the film will cost $800,000,000 and that's before Ah-nuld's paycheck.
  4. LOL! Surely Crom smiles upon you this day, Agent ONE.
  5. I'm from Winnipeg. Go Jets.....er, never mind.
  6. WWE attempted that with Tiger Ali Singh and it failed. I betcha that would have worked today. They could have made Tiger a rich Saudi playboy/prince. Crowds would H-A-T-E him.
  7. LOL! The only thing more exciting than that would be an exhibit of actual voice actor call sheets, dating from 1985 when Robotech was in production! It would be like looking at the Lucasfilm archives, but infinitely more boring!
  8. BTW, there's a new & improved trailer HERE that gives you a good idea how getting into the vehicles works. No game I've played before this has allowed me to actually run around inside a transport helicopter while it's in flight. And riding in a Little Bird is just sooooooooo cool.
  9. Yep. We were only playing on a server with about 60 players last night, but we did see some 100-player ones. I definietly have to give Novalogic a thumbs ups on in that regard. The netcode seemed to handle all those players pretty well, too. There were a couple of instances of a chopper appearing to "jump" from spot to spot in the sky, but that could just be a demo issue. And apparently there will be an update for the demo.
  10. Wow. That is just amazing stuff. I hope somebody can repost that information here.
  11. I spent some time with the Joint Ops demo last night, so here's my initial impressions. Keep in mind that this demo is actually the early Beta that they have been testing for some months now. I'm assuming that the final game will have improvements. Pros: Huge levels, with nice looking foliage (for this game type, anyway) Weight-based inventory. Weigh yourself down with lots of ammo, or just carry a couple of magazines. Ammo dumps and weapon stockpiles at key locations. Allows you to change out weapons in-game, rather than waiting for a respawn. Good selection of voice commands. (I liked how it had a function that would "ask" for passengers in vehicles) Fairly lethal damage for firearms Good hit-detection Cons: A little on the "arcadey" side Weapon selection is small, especially compared to Soldner No voice-comm support Somewhat laggy (although my friends PC was running like C-R-A-P last night, so that may have affected it) Players seemed to retain their previous uniforms when they switched sides (ie, a "rebel" had a "joint ops" uniform) Teamwork can be hard to come by (a fault of online gaming in general, no the game itself) Small arms sound FX were pretty weak. Easily fixed, but I'd prefer it to sound good out-of-the-box All in all, I think it has potential. But I'm still going to wait and try Soldner before I plunk down my $60 CDN on one of these games.
  12. I don't know...to me, it could be McDiarmid. It's difficult to say, since those shadows and see-thru portions really make it tough to see what he looks like. Can any photoshop-savvy people take a peek at it to look for signs of tampering.
  13. Speaking of turds, didn't there used to be a really lame "joke" on RT.com every April 1st, courtesy of your friend and mine Steve Yun? I guess they finally realized that they were about as funny as a prostate exam.
  14. Be careful, A1. I hear that his older brother is on the football team.
  15. Now I'm not suggesting this is legitimate, but here's something I found today. Supposedly, its from the revised ESB, and shows the "real" Emperor Palpatine as played by Ian McDiarmid.
  16. Use it!! You know what I'm talking about!!
  17. New details on the DVD release, courtesy IGN. Personally, I'm pretty excited about the commentaries, especially since they're including Kasdan and Kershner!!
  18. Oh, if you're going to do that, do it right. I don't think there's a more definitive SW: Holiday Special site than THIS one.
  19. No! Just stop right there. Go back to the forum index and forget you even asked that question. Trust me, you don't want to know the answer.
  20. And don't forget the old Decipher CCG. Knowing Lucasfilm, it was probably the same actress.
  21. Yeah, that's a beauty. Sorry about ruining your budget, though. I sent you a PM, and maybe you can return the "favor."
  22. / me looks at clock and wishes it were 5:00
  23. I just checked MiM and Comet Miniatures, and neither even listed it. I think it may be long gone, but who knows? Maybe it will get reissued or recast someday. I found a build-up of it HERE. And while I'm at it, I found this on MiM's site. They claim its from the 2003 Battlestar Galactica, but I swear it's a freakin' Seburo!
