I do hope then that they will release seperate armor and fast packs..any idea if that may happen?

I am a bit late on the boat for these and have been scrambling to get what I can for reasonable enough prices, not that it is cheap mind you. will there be more Armored GBP and Strike Valkyries released does anyone know so that they can be picked up for normal prices.?

Hi There fellow collectors. I was curious about the Weathered version 2 VF-1 releases in 1/60 scale. Does anyone know if these are suffering from the shoulder issues? Or were there a few batches of them released over time as in 2.1, 2.2? Also, am I correct in saying that there were no Weather GBP armour release but there was a weathered super pack? If so are these still around somewhere? Many thanks, G

well, there are a few differences... like I mentioned it is probably not cannon to stick the D and P on like that,,,although I wouldn't mind... Take a look at the bridge betweent the two, on the DYRL version it is positioned in the middle of the raised hull section that it sits upon. The forward nose section is raised about a two thirds towards the front, top section as opposed to flat on the DYRL version. The nose section if you can call it that is different. Looking at them in attack mode will show some more difference, like the thruster section (feet area) etc. Anyway,,, I am still hoping that they might release DYRL compatible D and P's.

I would love for Yamato only to release the Daedalus and Prometheus as extra attachment for the DYRL SDF-1 already released..I know I know.. it is not cannon but still...

Can anyone enlighten me... Does Bandai hold the exclusive rights to Macross Frontier? I mean will we ever see a VF-25/27 made by Yamato?

Thanks all for the excellent feedback... you have saved me lots of money... I am now curious about the kits though... are they still easy to find? Is it just one brand or if there are more, which is recommended. Ideally am looking for a V-25 with armor and super parts... and the ability to display it vanilla as well. If it takes two kits, I am ok with that thanks! G

thanks... I did actually notice that... However on a display stand it looked quite promising.. but then even pictures can be decieving I guess... wish Yamato would do these...

Hello I want to add a VF-25 to my Valkerie collection. Admittedly I don't know too much about the VF-25 toys or know too much about Macross Frontier as a whole.. But the VF-25 does look awesome... As I have a few Yamato 1/60's (I only have Yamato Valkeries) I was wondering the following and need advice of fellow collectors here: I am refering to the Bandai DX 1/60 range 1) Is there any particular recommened buy for this? 2) Do you get a pack containing the Super and Armor parts in one? 3) How is the general quality of these? 4) Do they look pretty accurate in all modes, especially in fighter mode? Are there any other recommendations for the VF-25? Much Appreciated. G

Hi Jenius Thanks for the reply. I ended up biting the bullet and got the Fokker VF-1S weathering version from HLJ and got the VF-1J from Ebay... That is my Macross budget spent for awhile... oh and got the GBP-1 Armor set seperately from Ebay as well. Cheers, G
