  1. Look at the holes at the end of the barrels and the holes on the arms. The photoshopped one looks like it has eliptical guns and ammo.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Maybe I stretched too much, but I still think they distorted the image a bit. As for the legs I sincerely hope they bend much more. Part of the problem is that the angle of the ankle section is steeper than the original line art, but then again, you can do things on paper that you can't do in real life.

  2. Yo!

For those who think the Gerwalk mode looks weird, here's a possible explanation: I think the guy that designed the page "crushed" the picture on the sides to fit the page.

Here's the original on top and a restoration I did on Photoshop. Plus, the guy that transformed it for the shot must have been a Gundam fan. :p

  3. I also noticed that the knee articulation in gerwalk mode is very restricted, wich means it won't make a good gerwalk for posing or display pourposes. The detail is great, but that's not good enough for me. I'm a perfect transformation geek and I can't stand those hips.

But don't worry, Yamato. I'm so getting the K-Monster!!

  4. Hey, those Minmays are hot. And if Godzilla says he didn't ever noticed is a liar. Where can I get them ? (I'm more of a mecha than a figure collector).

The background looks like a VF-1S junkyard.

  5. Yeah, looks like Hikaru is having an erection, but it's just because it is supposed to be posed in combat stance.

Anyway, I agree, I just get the second series and they're great. The Destroid is my favorite.

Where did you get those, by the way?

  6. I love that custom! Wish I have those skills, but since I have rounded hands I'll keep waiting for Yamato to emulate you. I specially loved the LED part, congrats.

MAHQ have got the name wrong. The correct name IIRC should be Queadlunn-Nna. This mecha was featured in the Sega Saturn/Playstation DYRL side-scroller game.

    Graham

Now, that would make a nice custom too. I know there's enough talent 'round here to pull it out.

By the way, where's this Rau from?

  7. Just to cast my vote: GREEN, GREEN, GREEN!

I don't care if yamato changes only the eye and antenna to save some bucks, as long as they make my green Q-rau.

Have you ever seen a Sherman tank painted red, purple or light blue? Come on! The Q-Rau is a killing machine, for crissakes.

  8. Hope that's helpful. If not, just give me a buzz and I'll scan the instruction sheet.

    ==================

By the way, if anyone has an extra NP FB 01, can I please have it whether by free or sell it, just give me a buzz. I lost mine during the time applying, grrrrrrrrr. I am praying that Yamato sell the 1/48 decal.

Thanks, Reminator! That's been useful. Sorry about the missing decal. I'd give one of mine, but I'm pretty sure we're not in the same neighborhood, though if you come to Mexico city some day :p

  9. Hey, talking about stickers!

I have some doubts about the ones that suppose to go on the fast packs of my 1/48 Roy. I'm talking about those tiny alpha-numerical codes NP BP 01 - NP BP 02 - NP FB 01 and NP AR 01

I guess some are suppose to go on the right and left back and leg boosters and some on the right and left back and arm missile dispensers, but wich ones go where?! Please somebody help me on this, I'd like to put away those sticker sheets for good.

By the way: I used the black skull symbol from the Yamato sticker sheets and then placed the white 001's from takatoys (much thinner) right below the crossed bones, and I'm very happy with the results. The only problem with the Skull symbol from Takatoys is that it only comes in red, but the Yamato ones don't have the 001 markings, so I decided to use stickers from both. We all know the problems with the Yammies, but in this case it looks very nice.

  10. BTW LSB Is your animated flick gonna be your doing or are you hiring an animation house to do it?

I wish! No, in my case the animation look is because I love the style in comic books. I had a few meetings with a local production company, rearding the possibility of doing a short animated feature but I'm still skeptical about it.

  11. here are some B&W images of discontinued resin model kits of some of the mecha (I have these first two kits but not the third):

Lucky you! I love those designs. Is the mecha style I'm tryng to achieve. On the link it reads that the company went bankrupt and no one knows anything about the rights. Too bad, I would give anything for an art book. The same happened to me with The Dark Crystal movie for years. Oh, well, thanks for the pics MSW, that's probably the only images I'm ever gonna own of QUO VADIS.

I've tried drawing with just the tablet, but I preffer the feel of pencil on paper. The tablet's for post scan clean up and coloring, for me.

It really comes down to a matter of preference, I guess.

    I feel the same.

  12. That is freakin' cool. Just rename it and go for a theme. You could base a tactical game off of your designs. I think some resin kits of your stuff might actually do well.

May Bandai almighty hear you. There IS a story behind this designs, and I hope to see them move on the screen some day soon as a movie, and then who knows?
