In case Yamato cares, here's a few humble suggestions for the (upcomming?) Konig Monster, from a true fan.
I think this two models provide a good glance at the design problems that the sculptors would have to face with this baby. If anybody holds a different opinion on this matter please feel free to cast the stone, maybe we all can make the perfect monster!
The good pionts are marked green, the flaws red.

I think it's too big for a display stand and draws too much attention from the toy it's supposed to "display". That is specially notorious with the 1/60's and 1/72's. What's the display piece here? The plane or the display stand itself?
-
Somebody already mention this but those intakes are HUGE!
I always hated that on my YF-19. It makes the valks in fighter mode look really ugly. It's annoying.

You can buy them here:
www.xl-shop.com/xlshop/pages/productDetails.asp?productId=KM-030262
The Roy on the stand and the millia are transformable. There was a former set with other figures, but I think it's sold out. I should buy these myself before theyre gone too

Now THAT'S how a Yamato VF-11/YF-19 should look like.
I'm sorry: Am I out of topic?
-
Thanks, pal! I think I'm gonna buy these once I get the Akira ones. By the way I read somewhere that you had a nasty 1/48 collection. I envy you soooo much
Thanks again.

hey, Godzilla!
I was looking for a topic about these little suckers when I saw yours. I'm thinking on gettin them but I'd like a slight review from someone who already get them first, nothing too seriuos, just things like are they fully poseable? Does the missile hatches on the 1j open? and so on.
Thanks and congratulations.

I think there is a Buy-Sell section in this page somewhere. Maybe you get lucky and find someone who is sellin his old 19. I'd sell you mine, but I hate payment/shipment trouble. The reason is I don't like the old Yamato 19. I was like you, dreaming awake of this toy since I saw the pictures, but owning one is another stuff. The bastard is pretty ugly once you get to hold it, the fighter has those horrible gaps and big fat screws, and the battroid is not very poseable. In the standing position it looks like an old man with a deviated spine, and the hips can't move at all. If I were you, I'll wait patiently 'till Yamato releases the FP version. I heard it adresses all this problems, and I'm sure they'll release it eventually. The expactation is huge.
Welcome to MW, man!

Man, I would KILL to get a Koenig Monster if that's what Yamato is taking so long to get the monster done for.
Come on Yamato, you can do it!!!

I think fifbeat just died of a hart attack
I didn't know there was a garage kit out there. Where can I find it?
-
Can you place some comparsion pics? And what about the joints? Are they thight enough?
I'm still getting one sometime. But now it seems like a big pile of plastic to me. The standing issue of the Millia figure is a big dissapointment an so the lack of detail. The feet for instance, could look a lot better with a slight paint wash.

I think kanata is one very subtle comedian.

I've never laughed that loud in my entire life!!! Thanks, man!

Per Toylet Town, The Q-Rau was released today and has 18 in hand. His prices seems very good for past customers. $85 bucks plus $29.95 for shipping to the U.S. Not bad.
Sorry, I'm late! Hey, I want that link too. I might even order it right now!! (I know I said I'll wait for the green too, but I'm a Queadlunn-Rau geek and I'm just too weak minded)
-
Yeah, those! Thanks, man.
So the shipping is very expensive? I'll check that out.
Wich set did you ordered? Is there a zentraedi set? I remember Q-Rau, Regult and Glaug figures.

Yo!
On the march 2004 issue of Hobby Japan I saw what it seems to be a line of Macross pvc super poseables. Since I can't read japanese I wonder if anybody here knows where I should look for them online or when are these little suckers suppose to be released. Thanks everybody.

Beoutiful!
Hey. I've never seen that VF-1S before. Who and when released it? Does it transform?
-
WOW! You must be the happiest guy in the world!
How did you line up the panels?
-
I don't like the Yamato VF-11 that much, and already have the original one (right leg broken of course), but my compulsive consumist will get the FP version eventually.
I can't help but think that Yamato could do a lot better work on the 11B each time I think on the SHE version. Those big fat plastic bulks under the wings are simply annoying. The shoulders left much to be desired and so the intakes sculpt. The SHE version features a retractable heat shield for Pete's sake! But as I said I'll probably end up buying it.
-
True. I missed the first production run on the Roy (fortunately) and get the newer version at Valk Exchange plus a set of fast packs.
The Roy is my favorite, so the choice was easy. I like the TV show too, but I can't see the difference between the two Roys, so I'm in peace.
-
Keep posting Enigmas!!! Don't stop until Yamato realizes how kick ass those valks are! I'll give you my 1/48 Roy in sacrifice if I just have more money. Great job!

Very funny. No. it's a design of my own. I´m too shy to show the full version, but to put an end to the speculation here it is.
Please be kind, all of you, it's my firs time at MW.
