    Yeah, Evolution is much like Idiocracy and a few others, over all not the best movie, but some of the lines used are absolute classics. I mean who doesn't know what to say after a friend yells "Caa caa, tookie tookie!"

    I wrote Crichton a letter when I was in the 4th grade, sent him a sequel to Jurassic Park. It was a class project to write a letter to an author, I decided to write a letter, and add a story. He wrote back a few months later, telling me it was a great story. No one else in the class got a letter back from their authors. Coolest guy ever.

    I do have to say, that the changing of major elements between the movie and the series are very annoying. The whole "this is Hollywoods version of the story" way of telling Macross is starting to get old. Just take the easy parts that are annoying to deal with TV: Michael dies Sherly's V-type infection is moved into her gut by Ranka, therefor saving Sheryl Alto chooses to fly instead of a smoking hot pop singer who loves him. Bobby never gets Ozma Movie: Michael lives Sherly's V-type infection puts her in a coma Alto chooses Sheryl at the moment he lands on the queens hand (sense non existent.) Ozma will always be a bad ass, he gets Cathy in both versions. Because Ozma. It get's tired some to wait to find out what the "Official" cannon line becomes. I wish that they'd be less about OVA's with the same characters. Just make one damn show, that doesn't second guess what the previous does.

    The Macross Frontier movies actually gave you a conclusion, for the first time since DYRL. Alto chose Sherly. Alto folded with the Vajra We know what happened.. so why is this frustrating? The TV series had an ending that was worse, where both Ranka and Sheryl choose Alto, and Alto chose flying. MF was a much better Series overall, than the movies. The series became week when Grace became the main antagonist. If you switched the series ending, with the Movie taking over, it would have been a perfect ending. Basically when Grace takes over the plot, if you switched that to the group using Grace, and switched to the last 25 minutes or so of SNT. You might have had a single solid show. However if you haven't watched the series in Full, you're missing out on really the greatness of MF. My first point still remains valid, you can't judge a show where you essentially watched it in Mute.

    Hot toys is in Hong Kong, so it makes sense they don't get any real deals. In fact I've heard that they get shipments from Sideshow. But don't quote me.

    Only thing I can think of, is that BBTS and TFsource now directly wholesale with Takara. There's no way they can get that pricing with a middle man in the mix. 90$ is too much for Exhaust, but if he's anything limited he won't be on HLJ. Hopefully he is general release like all the datsun brothers.

    You guys can't stray to far from the point though. With people worried about 3P products being haulted by HG. It's not as simple as "Hey that's out trademark!". By Law infringement only works if it confuses the consumer, between original and second party product. HG has nothing like what this is, and they'd have to prove the TV SDF-1, looks too much like this SDF-1 looking robot, that it's infringing on their marketplace (which they don't even have). Again, HG has never been anything but bully tactic company. They just send C&D and hope you comply. I highly doubt Frank would spend millions to combat a Chinese toy. As far as BW is concerned, well.. to be honest if they got heated about product being sold outside of Japan, it might be a wolf in sheep's clothing, because it would force them to officially document that HG does not own the rights to Macross outside of the TV series. Then have BW claim imminent domain over the Macross trademark certifying it forever, and setting it free from Hack Gold.

    If you're in the US, BW doesn't care about us. So don't feel bad. Plus I highly doubt anyone buying this, wouldn't buy a 1/3000 SDF-1 if Arcadia announced it the day after these arrived. I'm just saying this kind of toy, does not affect the current market's major players.

    Accept they would be fighting international groups, that work in a country that is known for not being very strict on KO and infringements. The only time China cracks down, is if the US company has an already strong presence in China (Nike ect.) Even the almighty Apple, with billions more than HG, can't stop the bootlegs. But again, we aren't talking about KO's, we are talking about designs. HG would have to prove these products confuse consumers with their product (lol what HG product). What I'm saying is HG doesn't have the power to stop the onslaught. Even Hasbro who at first when C&D crazy realized the 3P companies weren't affecting their bottom line. Left it alone, and even let the stuff into Hasbro funded conventions. also, IMO If someone got a c&D from HG for selling this kind of product, I would gladly donate to the legal fund. No better way then to make HG look stupid then to challenge their supposed "right" to everything Macross.

    Sorry but HG has zero control over chinese companies. Plus HG can't threaten toy stores that don't buy from them directly. If they sent a C&D to someone, they could just ignore it. It would take an incredible amount of money and work for HG to try and prove infringement. They' probably go Bankrupt before they actually got anywhere in the courts. This maybe the first time we can all give HG the big middle finger of **** You! That being said, I applaud anyone taking advantage of a market. capitalism at it's best.

    Ordered! You guys need to stop saying "achh gee". They are like Beetlejuice, say it too many times and they show up. I hate to say it, but I'm all for 3rd parties getting into Macross. If they can pull stuff off, why not? again if they can hit the Macross/RT crowd it's a double dip. Since this is the DYRL version, it might not double dip so much, but I'm going to support regardless. plus Lunar is legit.
