  1. Is your a HD box? In order to view true HD pograms, you'll need to connect the component ouput from the HD cable box to your tv's 1080i component port, ususally the second and the third one. Other type of cables will only give you dvd quality image at best. Unless you use a off-the-air antenna and the tv's buildin HD turner, you can't get HD signal with the coax cable.
  2. I'll wait for dvd with Chinese tracks
  3. May issue FSM, in English
  4. I heard it was designed to go on the PG Strike ??
  5. I have charter for cable, the hd package is $7 over the digital package including the first box where I live. All 4 major networks are hd, but it's all depending on the shows. All prime time programs are hd here, except news and older re-runs. ESPN is hd for the most major events, Discovery is hd all only channel I get in hd all the time with the prettiest picture. They gave me 3 months all movies channel as a when I upgrade, only newer movies will be in hd on these movie channnels. Good thing is, charter added two new hd channels here without charging any extra in the last 2 months. BTW, voom is going out of business, don't know if anyone could pick up their 20+ original hd channels.
  6. another thing I found out, there are 3 component input on my dlp(older model?)-- the first one is 480i(DVD) and the rest are 1080i(HD), dvi, pc, and 3 s-video input. since I already have a DVD player connected to comp1, the ps2 can only use one of the s-video input. I guess one does really need to consider what will be connected to the tv when shopping for a HD set. And one more thing, a power filter is a must for HD set, Monster Power make the best IMO. Those for CRT and projection sets go from $70 to $150, those for DLP, LCD, and plasma go from $200 to $400. The sale person at Bestbuy who sold me mine actually told me all I need is the $200 one, and they were using them at the store. IMO, stick with the major brands and pick the model you are confortable paying for, and you will be happy for a long time.
  7. I've got a 50 DLP, I'm very happy with it. It did cost most than a projection, but also alot less than a plasma. Even though I don't have any HD game on my ps2, playing in full screen is REALLY fun, just can't sit too close the the screen. The HD programs are generally great, given the local NBC signal is not very good. I've quit going out to movies, sometimes I just turn on Discovery HD to look at the pretty picture. Prices for HD set are comming down, but tv makers are adding HD turer to their newer model. So the prices actually didn't change much. Samsung has a upconvert DVD player for $149, however, special video upconvert cable also is $149. Buy what you're comfortable to pay for, but keep in mind the sales tax, service plans, upgrade audio, and tv stand, etc.
  8. re-enter your web key and try again
  9. just got mine badger 100sgf, gonna be lots of fun
  10. any hardware and software utilitize dual stock controller is to be remove from sales. however, sony is allow to continue sales of these products while they appreal to the courts ruling. mircosolf got smart and only pay $26 million a couple years ago, and got 10% of the company that sued them in the process.
  11. I airbrush model master sometimes, and they are great -- if you're still alive afterward. I just thin them as normal, and spray as normal. Coverage and colors are as good if not better than most another brands. only problems are they dried up too quick, and not as forgiving as acrylics. just don't a fine detail airbrush with it.
  12. you've got a bad disc, your can clean it and retry or just use another one.
  13. I've a 50" DLP for the usual stuffs, also has a little 27" Panasonic Tau sitting next to the HDTV for things that do not look good on the big screen. Watch moast fan subs to a little 17" LCD tv at me desk.
  14. it is a good airbrush, I still have one though I don't use it anymore. It usually come with a medium tip, I think badger make fine tip for the 200 series. You should be able to do pencil lines with a fine tip (for nail arts?), psi at 8 or below and thinner than normal paint. I've never try below 5psi, so I can't tell you how it is, but at 8psi I can write with the hp-c... aiming it is another problem. A dual IMO is just more flexible, not necessarily better. Add a dual action airbrush to your tool box if you think the single action does not meet your needs anymore.
  15. you got it, the hp_c will give you more room to grow into. just keep on practicing on old models, you can wash the paint off and practice on the same model again and again if you want. most expert will tell you they mess up every once in a while, so go have fun.
  16. do they make them now? all we needed to do is add pearl powder
  17. the needle preset help when painting fine line, otherwise I leave mine wide open.
  18. Really ? i donno , $60 bucks is enough to buy my self another new airbursh , may i know what kinda frustration will i get without the needle adjustment nob ? Thanx !! I recommend the hp_c also. I think it paints as wide as 3 inches, which is more than enough for scale modeling. I rather have the ability to paint fine line than really large area at one time. DixieArts.com would probably have one of the best prices around, UPS ground shipping was included last time I bought from them. They are out of New Orleans, and I have recieved packages from them in two business days. You don't have to buy a expensive one, just be sure what you end up getting is dual action.
  19. I used to live in Monk Kwok when I was young.. Anyway, think I'm gonna go broke with all these up coming Hase kits.
  20. I find that the shopping cart at Valkyrie-exchange works a lot better if, when you find what you want, you right-click the link to the item and open it in its own window. It's the frames that screw up the shopping cart. No frames, no problem. tried that too , it should be taken care of now.
  21. thanks, now I just need to get the shopping cart to work for me at VE.
  22. I've got a question. Could anyone tell me how well the perfect edition DVD look on big screen? thanks.
  23. I usually use a hp_c, badger 360 for large area. Never have and never will use a tester.
