I knew this'd happen... I'll be shipping out to boot camp right about when this ship's out to me!!! Curse you Toynami!!!
-
when removing, make sure you try to keep the backpack even and don't let it wiggle side to side too much when you're trying to take them off. do the the same thing when your putting them on as well and you should be fine.
Haterist has it right... I accomplish this by adding and removing the fastpack thrusters simultaneously, pushing or pulling on them with equal and symmetrical pressure. Haven't had any problems yet.

No crap, I like haterist and all that, but you both are crying me to sleep... "yawn."
I voted yes

This movie was about what I was expecting, but as a time-killer it sufficed. Certain things, like the aesthetic style of the flick kicked ass, but the dialogue blew and the story needed a little more development, an R rating would have improved this flick as the lack of brutality and gore did not quite match up to the smack talk and posturing of most of the characters. In particular I would have liked to see the firey-dog-beasts, maul a few convicts. If I were to make a drinking game out of this movie the rule would be to drink every time Riddick peels off those supercool goggles for dramatic effect, ...and I would be crap-ball hammered by the end of it!!! The most Riddick-ulous part to me was the Tardiscopes (those retard-on-a-leash-with-magnifying-glasses-strapped-to-their-head dudes) which provided inadvertant comic relief that wasn't really needed to begin with. I wanted to love this movie because Pitch Black kicked SO MUCH ass, but was left with a meh feeling.
It was still better than Swordfish though, that movie blew a gaggle of gay geese.

Hi all, I preordered all of the DX Amdriver figs and vehicles back in March when they were first announced. My SAL shipment took longer than usual (no biggie) but the real bummer is that it was sent in two boxes; one with the vehicles, which arrived a week ago, and the other one with the figs (I assume) which still has not arrived. Should I be worried about this or should I wait longer?
Thanks,

I'd say the VF-11b was pretty irksome at first as well...

2: my bandai vf-1a cf that my brother poored epoxy all over. all the joins was so solid that it takes a hammer to move them.
Dude, that's just wrong... didja' beat his ass?
As far as I know that was a present.... and it came from a girl.So please DO NOT COMPLAIN B!
It WAS a present, which is EXACTLY why I don't wanna' break it... I didn't wanna shell out the fundage to buy it the first time, and I sure as hell don't wanna' pay to replace it!!! How's little Nico?

my PG Zeta tends to get me to that pissed-off place, especially since I don't TF it very often (since it's a model, and I don't wanna' wear it out by f-ing with it) and as a result forget minor nuances about it's transformation, and end up putting undue stress on it... poetic irony at it's nerdiest

True dat. But never forget, in certain circumstances, a brick can be an effective weapon!
Reminds me of the personal motto of my buddies and me growing up on the warf in L.A... "always carry a rock."

The turrets will likely stay where they are, their field of fire is actually quite good when in space, when the wings are folded in (if they stay that is). In atmosphere they would be used for clearing the LZ, so being limited to a downward firing angle will not impact them to greatly.
That may be, but they're still restrictive, maybe another turret placed on top to defend against enemy close air support? You need redundant fields of fire in case one of these turrets were taken out.
AS for the a glass floor, there is no need for that, the ships is equipped with and SIS (Sensor Imaging System), basically think the floor and side panels on the YF-19. These panels are integrated into the entire cockpit allowing the crew to "see through" the walls and floor. I was looking at putting an actual window in the floor, but it would have been very obstructed, so the SIS, which is on many other craft as well, was a good idea.Sounds like a very complicated window; I'd love to take an EMP weapon to this while it was making it's approach. Survivability=redundancy and simplicity.
The ship currently has an anti-personnel turret under the cockpit in a chin turret. Missile racks will be added to the main body, just have not determined or modelled their location yet. These missiles will be used for defense and LZ clearance. Will there be any weapons fixed to the actual bay for it to provide it's own defense once it is detached (I assume that it'll be detached ala Starship Troopers, right?)

One possible name could be "Trojan" as in the horse. If I were a grunt being deployed from this I may refer to it and it's crew collectively as "Mama Bear" since I came from it's belly, but it's still ferocious.
Design mods I would make to the dropship itself would put the turrets forward and under the wings so as not to obstruct their fields of fire (or on the wingtips perhapse) also I would have glass on the lower parts of the cockpit to give the pilot more visibility and thus a better grasp of the environment that he/she was "dropping" into as well dropping personell into. I would also include some anti-personell weapons (possibly armor components that fragment outward and downward in order to clear an LZ of enemy implacements, kinda' like ship mounted claymore mines or something) to key points of the ship's underbelly. And finally I would include bomb bays designed to deliver ordinance used for creating LZ's (different bombs for different environments: incendiary for a defoliant, etc.)
As for the detachable bay, It's needs LOTS of doors to give it versatility (for example, if the doors only open in the rear, and there were an enemy implacement in that direction, then every troop and vehicle being deployed is in that enemy's field of fire, but if there were mulitple doors, then the rear ones could be shut, the personell could regroup and deploy from the other side, only exposing themselve at a more advantageous time, and on their own terms. I would also heve these doors not only folding down to provide a ramp, but triple-redundant and folding out from each side to provide cover while exitting and entering.
Anyways, that's how I'D build it...

All the KB's in my area closed down, this sale might be an indicator of the same thing for your area... anyway, if anyone can score a 20th anni Prime for me I'd be much obliged!!!!

Also if you have trouble recovering the data yourself, you can take it to any local techie and pay him to do it for you (In northern CA the going rate seems to be around $80 per hour for this service) just be sure you are thorough in telling him what types of file extensions to look for...
Good luck!!!

Did Mikimoto design those... uh, space monsters? If not, who does design monsters, if Kawamori does the mechs and Mikimoto does the characters?
Hannah/Barbera from the looks of it. And exactly what ARE those turd-like things protruding from the sides of it's head; are they ears or just gay-hentai-tentacles?

Gave all my old school legos to my first GF 'cause I thought I'd get some poonani outta' her over it... I was WRONG!!! Tried to shave down the sides of my 1/35 Legioss's gun-grip so that it'd fit in my Jetfire's hand... WRONG!!! Gave away all of my Orguss, Mospeada, Macross, and TF toys 'cause it was time to grow up and start chasing tail, and toys just got in the way of that... WRONG!!!

Another vote for Spiral Zone! Check out this golden oldie Datafile on Toybox DX!
Word.
Soon-to-be neglected: TOMY's superb 'Metal-Action' Zoids. 2 uber-cool figures, 3 sets of armor, The End. >(Word UP!
And my favorite underrated toy is the 1/72 C.L.O.D. from Xyber 9... the show sucked copious amounts of ass, and most of the other toys blew but I really dig mechanical apes, and this one's got FREAKIN tank treads!!!

Wow, that second monster pic is particularly inundated with gayness... looks like he's wearing some sort of gay space monster tuxedo.
"oooh, what a FANCY Valkyrie fighting space monster you are!!!"

So I'm looking at these Mechwarrior figs on my 1/55 shelf, and it's really bugging me that the boxes state that these are 1/55 scale when their pilot figs are around 1/72 scale in size... I'm trying to figure out if the stated scale is a misnomer or if these figs were just given the wrong sized pilots. Anyone know of a good resource for stats on the Madcat, Jupiter, Forestry Mech and the Legionairre?
...and spare me the comments about giving up on scales for toys, I know it's anal retentive and silly, but it still bugs me, alright?

for those of us who haven't seen t yet, can someone please post a pic of the Valkyrie fighting space monster?

Great work Seba... Mr. High-headed-no-ass would scare the bejesus outta' me in a dark alleyway...

Nice kit how long did it take you to make MG-Strike ?. I was thinking to get it but I also want the Metal Material Sword & Launcher Strike Gundam, difficult to choose since I originally wanted the Metal Alie Strike (out of print) ............. to much money
Image Anime has these for cheap... I just picked one up from a different etailer for a bit more, but I was impatient... I did a google search for "chogokin Aile Strike" and found several listings... however many of the stores were out of stock and my orders kept getting cancelled, which was why I got impatient and payed more for mine, but try Image Anime, good luck!!!

Additionally, the Minmay Guard is just as faggy as any valkyrie in M7.
THANKYOU for saying so!!! I really hate this paint scheme, but I didn't want to be the first to say it!!! I cringe every time I see a 1/48 (IMO) wasted on this eyesore of a paint scheme... It looks like packaging for some obscure brand of breathmints or the color scheme of a ski resort in Reno whose owner hasn't yet realized that the eighties are over... yech!!!

I WOULD like to see a t-shirt like this though: yellow and black stripes with a black Jolly-Rogers heatshield!!! Put a kite symbol on one arm and a 001 on the other, and you'd have the coolest underoos EVER!!!It'd be even COOLER still if they made a Kakazaki version of this shirt, then I could go out, get into fights, and get my ass kicked!!!
