  1. White enamel lighter with a yellow and black chest stripe across the seam (the flip top and body seam) with a bacl heat shield either in the middle or off center.

I WOULD like to see a t-shirt like this though: yellow and black stripes with a black Jolly-Rogers heatshield!!! Put a kite symbol on one arm and a 001 on the other, and you'd have the coolest underoos EVER!!!

  2. Nah I rather see soemthing similar to the Gundam lighters. Zippo themed lighters but with macross related stoff. Like a White enamel lighter with a yellow and black chest stripe across the seam (the flip top and body seam) with a bacl heat shield either in the middle or off center. stuff like that.

I think this has already been done, or something like this...

Is your idead based on that Macross episode were the VF-1A lights a cigar?

actually, it's not, but funny that you mention that 'cause I've always loved that bit. No, I was actually just thinking about another idea I have for a lighter and this just sorta' popped out... there are plenty of other gun-lighters out there, so why not? I'd also like to see a fully TFing old-school megatron given this treatment, but now I'm getting OT.

  3. I was just thinking this'd be cool: A macross line of lighters where either a small non-articulated Battroid fig shoots a jet-flame from it's GU-11 or just a larger GU-11 that shoot's a jet-flame... It'd be REALLY cool if the GU-11 were 1/48 scale and could be kept in the hand of our Yammies...

pro'ly a dumb idea, but I'd buy one, or two...

  4. the missile launchers seem to coincide with the fins in the way of placement... would it look too unsightly to expand the depth of the armor (forward-to-back or "profile" dimension) so that the launchers could actually surround those fins? You could expand it enough so that the exposed missiles were only deep enough to serve as a facade to cover the fins. The down-side to that is that the missiles are non-removable, but the up-side is concealed fins and more slender armor for the legs. I personally wouldn't mind chunkier armor width, but I definately WOULD mind having to mod my 1/48.

  5. I seem to recall that studies had proven that the optimal color for night-time ops had been a powdery pinkish-gray, but the brass in the Air Force would rather endanger some of their best pilots than have gay pink fighter aircraft... so they were painted black. I'm glad to see that the problem is being addressed.

  6. Add Grand Cannon to the list please... just completed 2 eBay auctions with him (hope that qualifies) and found him to be very accomodating and communicative, fast service too!!!

Also please add Mechamaniac. Just bought an AE Char's Gelgoog for CHEAP and the turn-around was super fast, nice guy too!!!

    Thanks dudes!!!

  7. BTW, has anyone dare mention the "pt" words, yet?

    You know........PERFECT TRANSFORMATION!!!!

Gotta figure a PERFECT TRANSORMATION vs. PLUG & PLAY will get this thread as least another 1/2 dozen pages of debating!!!

Funny thing is, I mentioned it in my second or third posting in this thread, and no one took the bait!!!

i guess pefect transformation is cool but to me its of MUCH more importance on a valk than a destroid. if you really want to see the heat build up, mention perfect transformation and 1/55 vs 1/60 thread from 3 years back LOL. People think we are tense now, they aint seen NOTHIN! Hell people started flaming graham for his chunky monkey review as well! we were WAY more tense back then!

Guilty as charged... I was one of the biggest whiners about the 1/60 when imperfect TF was first announced. It's still just as important to me now, I just keep it to myself more, and vote with my wallet. But, yeah, I DO want this thing to perfect TF.

  8. I can't see Graham lying about a pic in a magazine.

Actually, I have to agree with that... In the past when Graham had to keep something under his hat, he'd simply say that he couldn't tell us, so why would he start lying now? 'sides, I guess those feet aren't alll THAT familiar. ...and anyway, if pics of a KM HAD been printed in that magazine, then this would'nt be a rumor now would it?

  9. YES, thats the only thing I think the foot can be, unless M0 destroids?

    Nice catch

I agree that those feet look familiar, but with the quality of that pic (or lack thereof) it's hard to say for sure... 'Sides, here's what Graham had to say about those feet:

The feet on top are of some ugly looking samurai robot, nothing to do with Macross or Yamato. No idea what series it's from.

Either he lied, or it's really some ugly looking looking samurai robot as he said.

  10. Dropped a 1/48 in Battroid mode once. Both hip-block-ball-joint-housing-thingies broke. After using every expletive I could think of (which followed a few moments of dumbfounded silence,) I sold it to Fulcy for cheap... Not sure if he announced the project he had it earmarked for, so I'll keep that on the down-low, but I'll be glad to see it completed so I can know that it died for a good cause!!!

  11. Just saw a post on the Toyboxdx BBS put up by Matt Alt about a buddy of his who attended a trade show and claimed to have seen a Koenig Monster proto at the Yamato booth... Graham?

If it's true, then I'm kinda' amazed I didn't hear about it here first!!
