I remember reading somewhere that Yamato had stated that the shoulder problems with the original VF-0 releases wasn't the weakness of the plastic that was used per se, but due to how the plastic that was used reacted with other plastics used for adjacent parts, having a corrosive effect.

I'm kind of tempted to get the blue one to see what it would look like on the upcoming YF-25

They could always reissue all of the -25's via on-line exclusive and bundle 'em with some option parst like thrust/gunfire effects to satisfy the needs of straggling buyers (like myself) and entice some sales to O.C.D. completists (unlike myself).

NY has -25Fs available for sale that they are claiming to be reissues. Since they are the only ones with them in stock I doubt that this is the case. I'd like one, and should have picked one up as soon as I saw them there because at the time they were selling them for 18,000 yen. The VERY NEXT DAY, when the tornado packs were available for pre-order they bumped the price up to 26,500 -most likely in hopes of raking in more money in an anticipated buying frenzy. The price has since dropped to 25,500.

for pre orders, they have this PAY LATER scheme. they will ask for your payments when the item is near release date (afaik, 2 weeks). if you opt to not pay, they will cancel your PO.

Another stupid question: is this a good thread to check in with to secure a pre-order or should I just be obsessively checking Ami Ami regularly to secure one? Or both? As a new dad my time is somewhat limited for obsessing over Macross but I want to make sure I get this, the -30 and Arcadia's -0D. Thanks for yer patience.

Are you new to DX Chogokin releases?

If a release is a web exclusive, it would mean we would not have to scramble to get one in the very limited time window the a typical DX Chogokin Valk takes to sell out. This is because Web Exclusives are made to order (they have a cut off date instead).

Regular retail releases on the other hand tend to sell out very quickly (probably due in part to limited quantity for each retailer), so every time a preorder goes up, it's a mad rush to get even 1 order in. Thus constant F5s to refresh the order page. Those who don't make it, are usually resigned to the fate of paying a higher mark up price later through other channels like Nippon Yasan or the aftermarket

Is this an ironic comment or what am I missing? Sorry if I'm being a little thick, but what is the advantage of a web exclusive?

Thanks to everyone who purchased! I'm going to post about the Gundam and Mazinger items on TBDX then eBay them if they don't sell over there.

I would LOVE to see a new line of Orguss toys, complete with all of the MLovers, Drifands, and Gerwalks,. I don't have a lot of faith in Megahouse and suspect that it'd be a just another craptastic parts-former. I can still dream though.
