Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread
Fatalist replied to zeo-mare's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Mace's saber was based on the design that he had for Episode 1. Hasbro just got lazy and never updated it to his Ep2 and 3 look. But I like the fact that they went from C batteries to 3 AA batteries and also using LED's instead of a typical flashlight bulb. -

Lets also not forget that the original Vader, David Prowse, was also a body builder and had a fair amount of muscle to fill out the suit. As well as look plenty intimedating. Hayden is no where near the build of Prowse. -

Star Wars Episode 3 Spoilers Thread

Thats awesome!! I always felt that the Ep1 and 2 soundtracks just were not very John Williams and Star Warsy enough. But from this read, it sounds as if he's gone back to his roots from the original trilogy and improved things. I cant wait till the soundtrack comes out!!! Its killing me! -
Sony's weak attempt at copying Charlies Angels? Sony MADE Charlies Angels 1 and 2.

Ha! I was gonna say something about the wings being a little short, but then I read the article and it said it was done on purpose for shipping and travel purposes. It would be awesome to have, but I would take out the Rebel Assault game from it and put in something better, like XWA.

I bought one for both myself and my son, and I gotta say, its friggin awesome looking. If you get the chance, pick it up. It kinda reminds me of a bastard child of a snowspeeder, jedi starfighter, and Darth Mauls ship.

I agree, we're past due for an x-wing or tie-fighter game. Hell, I'm surprised they haven't tried to do anything for the PT. I'd even settle for a re-release that was compatible with WinXP. Don't even get me started. And people are trying to tout SWG: Jump to Lightspeed as being just as good. NOT!

Found some samples on Music Non Stop. Not too bad.

Hmm...I'll have to check this out. Haven't seen anything mentioned elsewhere or even seen it at the local CD Import store. Time to google.

I hate to be devil's advocate here, but are there any plot points left that have yet to be spoiled at this point? It seems like all the major bases have been covered here to me. *edited for horrible spelling and questionable grammar* Most everything posted is common knowledge; dead Jedi, Wookies, certain duels, etc. I'm talking about a specific screens that depeict pivitol moments in the film that most of us don't want ruined. Who kills who, when this happens, who saves the day, etc. I will raise absolute holy hell if someone does that. I'll have to second that.

Macross Live Action definitely do-able
Fatalist replied to Kamion's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Personally IMO, the reason Macross doesnt have a huge fan base is because they don't release new series and storylines like Gundam and Transformers. Look at it, Macross has a whole 2 actual TV series seasons, whereas Gundam and TFormers have tons. The more exposure, the bigger the fanbase. So untill someone get's their head out of their rear and starts releasing series after series, a live action Macross movie just won't happen. Besides, Val Kilmer is getting a tad too old to play Roy. -
Officially axed. As told on AICN.

"How does it feel to know that THAT's the last time your child will ever see female genetalia". Best. Line. Ever!

Talk about straying off topic. Sad. Personally, I am sad to see the Cat go. Its a beautiful warbird. I loved seeing them fly over San Diego back in the day. But like the saying goes..."All good things must come to an end".

I believe that was posted a couple pages back. -
Someone please explain to me Ghost in the Shell
Fatalist replied to Panzer's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Its only 4 episodes of the 27+/- episodes for the season. Currently in the US, they are on volume 3, which means episode 12. In Japan I believe they are already done with the second season called GITS: SAC 2nd GIG. -
She gets a share of the 2.5 billion in profits made. Not the whole 2.5 billion. Just to be clear on that, in case you were thinking of it that way.

Thats the thing, I keep trying TRU and see nothing except the 1:18 Apache and the Tanks. I dont have the time normally to go out of my way to find stuff like this. So choking on online prices is just about my only option at the moment.

Sounds to me like this could be easily modified to make some of the gripes into pro's. I'm sure someones already hard at work making the cockpit and the rest of the plane light up with fiber optics. And no doubt someones making better, more realistic exhaust tips. I want one.....bad.

Fatalist replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well if I had my camera with me a couple months ago when I saw it, I would have. On top of all that, its in a case. I'll try and get in there sometime soon (read not this weekend) and take a couple shots. If they let me. Maybe someone else in LA can get down there this weekend and snap some? Maybe even get them to let it out of the case? -

At Puzzle Zoo in Santa Monica, one of the Toynami sculptors supposedly created a custom Sideswipe using the current Alternators parts, and swapping all the Viper pieces with a fully die-cast 1:24 scale Lamborghini Countach. Of course there were needed mods to it and all, and supposedly it can even transform. But it looks awesome and just like a more poseable version of the old school toy. I was very impressed. -
The new Jolly Rogers look--High-Vis Bug
Fatalist replied to David Hingtgen's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have a good idea. With all this complaining of how it should look, why dont all you PS guru's dream us up a new scheme that would look better and post it here in the forums for all to see.. We all know thats the temp one due to the JR's still being on deployment and nothings final untill they get back, sooooo....... GET TO WORK!
