New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
GRAND CANNON replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
GUNOTA has some picture links for the newcomers. They look decent. Be interesting to see how they do the plating on the Shiki ........and........... the Rick Dom's skirt doesn't look big enough, IMHO. But who asked me anyway?!?! -
Finally my display cases are ready!

Jolly Rogers Super Hornets, pics!

E-mail those to "The Admiral"!! -
Yeah, the residue I was referring to was oils and such from the production process, but if you've had no problems....good enough for me. And as far as the Testors(or any other kind of coat), do you just spray where the decal/transfer is? Never having used this before, I'm concerned that areas without a decal, thus without the clear coat, will look different than those with (i.e. shinier?). Does this happen?
-
Yes, great pics, thanks! Wonder where the battroid mode is, though? Besides the sculpt pic, has anyone seen another? Would display mine in this mode and yet it escapes the camera....

Looks great, armor. And nice link, zeo. Do you normally clear coat after your waterslide decals? And how about the standard release dry transfers....should you wash the pieces prior to applying or does it matter? and do they need coating? Very apprehensive on adding markings for some reason and would probably only apply a mininal amount, but I read somehwere that prior to doing a bunch of stuff to a kit, you should probably wash the runners with soap and water to get rid of the factory residue. Of course, I have yet to do this either.......

That's great!! ( wonder why the wife looks at me funny when I'm laughing at posed toys on the computer...AGAIN )

Gunota has also posted an article of a Osaka's store "Gundam's". While scrolling through the pics, this was found in the FIX pics.......looks like the FAZZ to me in the back-left. http://vhost.iline.co.jp/~h5/html/newgunda...10_140842AA.jpg -

The Robotech Re-Masters
GRAND CANNON replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Remastered poop is no biggee for me (at least for this series). I watched the show on a bad UHF channel on TV and then crappy VHS tapes after that. The DVDs I have are fine......no hoopla or edited stuff. IMHO, of course. -
The Robotech Re-Masters
GRAND CANNON replied to Lonely Soldier Boy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hey, same boat here in regards to getting the intro through Robotech...heck, I just found out last year that SDF: Macross, SDF:SC, and GC:Mospeada weren't even related!!! I'm not ashamed of it and still looked for the RT DVDs as well as the SDF / DYRL stuff, BUT .... you gotta remember where your are. Some of these old-timers here get mighty cranky at the sound of the "R"-word. EDIT: Oh and as far as what to get......depends on your tastes and wallet. Got the Legacy sets through another member here and they're fine for me. -

roflmao those are cute and cool!!!! two bad it is a twohand operation. It would be cool to have on in each hand Well, we have some pretty innovative customizers here at MW. That just sounds so wrong.... -
The tracking system in 08th MS Team's truck is acoustical rather than seismic, though I wouldn't rule out having both sensors in the spike package. They were listening to Zaku footsteps. Yup, aware of that as 08th is my favorite , but what about Mobile Suits in general? Some commander running up to a RX-79[G] or RGM-79[G] and issuing orders, can the pilot here 'em? Or does he have to open up the cockpit? As far as suits go, you gotta be able to hear them walking around from quite a distance....kind of like AT-ATs. (Oooh...makes me think OT, but it would be intersting to see a Mobile Suit giving an AT-AT a head-lock!! )

Always wanted to paint the sekeletons, but never got around to it. They look a lot better black. Tell you what.....I'm visiting a buddy tonight over in Mansfield who's also a Gundam/Macross/Anime nut. Can take a spin over to gawk in awe at all of your stuff......and maybe you'll come across some kits that'll make you say, "Yeah, go ahead and take 'em. I've got so many anyway." You don't even have to get off the couch!!

Wish they had these when I was a kid, but then again, my wife says I still am ! http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BNP42070-A http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?BNP42070-B

Just a quick, late, non-technical reply regarding the detection/tracking of a MS (i.e. 08th MS).... I know these were mentioned: seismic, motion, visual. But how about audible? Do Suits have microphones for the ability to hear anything within close proximity (i.e. ground troops, support personnel)? If not, get your suit in position, open the cockpit and listen. The detection range would probably be further than visual on most occasions. You think a Zaku can tip toe? (Of course, this would not give you an exact heading from the target and just let you know something was out there, so use would usually be impractical, but a use nonetheless. )

Aye corrumba! Man, you gotta get your site going so I can check out more of your stuff!! Also...my original queston got lost in a previous post, but.... Anyone help?
-
and to add more 'confusion'.....here's an older pic..... The 1/43ish Academy is in the back behind 3 DXs and a 1/60 Hybrid F-91. The Nu and Sazabi are the 1/100 MG kits. I know it's a bad angle, but like I said...older pic....more confusion Zeo, are you refrring to the Valk in the second pic of the thread? That's definitely a 1/48 -1J. Those kneecaps and chunky hands..... I have a 1/60 -1J and it don't look nuthin' like that

Looks great! I'm assuming the skeleton has already been painted in the pics, is that so? Didn't know if the PGs have the same gray/blue of most MG kits. Hey, and do you have any 1/60 Valks? That would be a nice comparison shot!

OMG.....First thing I thought of was, "Imagine having to panel-line that kit!?!?"
