  1. That Battroid from the latest pic looks like it might have too much weight on it's back. I know it's a prototype pic, but I hope the final version's not gonna need some kind of permanent prop just to keep it in that particular mode.

  2. It's sexy and it knows it.

Feel like getting 23 of these... one for each year the ULTIMATE GM was introduced, and we were failed to see a model (resin doesn't count) of this :p .

Wow, this one does look good. Here's hoping though that BANDAI will put it out someday in the MG scale.

  3. So, I guess they're saying it's out of stock and there are no current plans for a re-release?... :(

If this is what Yamato has decided to do, then it's not a very good move on their part. I've decided to pick up just one of these VF-1's w/ the option parts (instead of 3) just because of fact that we may never get anymore stand-alone FP's. Unless of course, they're thinking of coming out with VF/option parts/FP's bundle packs.... ;)

  4. Yeah, I don't understand the problem with the landing gear color. They're all pretty much the same colors internally.

No problems, just wanted to state my dislike of the particular color they've chosen for such part. I know YAMATO did the same thing for the 1/48 1J Stealth and will probably continue to do so for any variant. Kinda like how some people like their VF-1's with FP's and some don't.

  5. Well, here's hoping the push back on the release date also meant that YAMATO's gonna keep the paint scheme for all the parts. Those landing gears stick out like a sore thumb because they're in the traditional off white color.

  6. Realistically the Sulaco would have had a crew to run the ship - the marines we see are the landing party rather then the Sulaco's crew. Certainly that is not the way it was depicted in the movie, but it is often cited as the unofficial canon. (non-canon canon, how fun). Some marines would have been left behind as ship's security too. (once again, even though the movie makes it plan they do not exist)

That's true because if the SULACO did have a crew to run the ship then Bishop wouldn't have needed to remote drop and operate the 2nd dropship to get the survivors off LV426. I guess this is a different take on how the 2nd movie ended. Game looks good so far, though. I can't wait to play it.

  7. A lot of you guys have heard or probably know that Anime King (one of SoCal's best resource when it comes to acquiring Macross or Gundam stuff) has moved it's store location from Huntington Beach to the lovely city of Irvine. Apparently, they have been at the new location since the beginning of march this year. For those who have yet to see the new store, I suggest you drop by and check it out. Here's the new address and phone number:

    Anime King
