jvmacross, ya got PM !

VF-1S is nice but tends to be priced more than the other types!
It's a bit more popular than the other VF-1 types. All that I have in terms of V2 are of the 1S type .

The 1/55 Strike 1S is indeed a holy grail for a lot of 1/55 collectors, including myself. It would've been nice to get a re-issue of this from Bandai .

Valk009, Ya got PM !

VFs that are actually popular and will actually sell in numbers is a major factor in what sees the light of day as a mass-market KANZEN-HENKEI release,
and just about any iteration of the 19 series is infinitely more popular then either of those designs, especially in japan...
Isn't this the damn truth! But if given a choice, I think I would like to see Arcadia come out with the VF-0D and it looks like I'm not the only one .

Price will be a deciding factor for me, just like with a lot of folks here on MW. Lots of gimmicks and detail, so if it's not gonna go for the price of a YAMATO valk, then maybe I'll pick one up.

Two thumbs up fro mustang1! Excellent seller and even better packaging skills! Thanks a lot, man!
-
Nice set up, Sephiroth! Love the 1/48's!
-
I guess I'll skip this one. The thing just doesn't look right, specially in fighter mode. Way too many decals, stickers or whatever the hell they are. Looks more like Nascar than Macross.

Wow! I wish I had the whole Vermillion squadron, too. Excellent pics as always, MacrossJunkie!

in Japan's town
You mean Little Tokyo, right?

Line art accuracy is important, but having a fun and attractive toy trumps super strict line art IMO.
Agreed. I collect whatever I want, line-art accurate or not. I guess beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

Impressive.....most impressive! The bone-white color on the TV 1S makes the red really stand out. Great job, Valkyrie addict, and thanks for sharing!

The 1/48 to rule them all.....
This one definitely needs the DYRL fixed posed hands by EternalD. Still looks bad-ass though! 1/48's rule!

A 1/48 makes for a great display piece because of it's size, detail and gimmicks. It is for these reasons that all of mine are out on display. It's a shame to leave something so beautiful sitting inside a box in storage or in a closet. So, if for some reason ARCADIA decides to bring this line back to life (which is probably not likely), I would want to pick up a couple more to add to my collection.

I have that in my living room somewhere...=P
It's an Ikea Detolf's worst nightmare !

Upon seeing the very first pics of the V2 1/60 VF-1's initial release, I was telling myself that they looked like a smaller version of their 1/48 counterpart and that it'd be a waste of money to start collecting the same things in a different scale. Six months later, I bought 2 V2 FP combos! So, I think I'm gonna hold off on saying whether I'm buying or not until after we've seen what and if ARCADIA is going to do w/ the MACROSS franchise.
-
I tend to collect toys that have simplistic designs. But if they're of sci-fi or aircraft origin, then I'm really sold! MACROSS gave me all of these plus the transformation capability of the VF-1! Hook, line and sinker!
-
You can still find deals out there if you look hard enough. haha. I've been using Rinkya a lot too. Even after fees some of the weapons kits are cheaper than evilbay if you buy a few at once and combine shipping.
Thanks for the tip. Now that I'm pretty much done buying VF-1's, maybe I can focus more of my attention on the 1/12 line.
-
Nice haul there, Gakken85! Now, I really wish I'd put more attention in collecting the 1/12 line a few years back instead of doing it right now, with the current market prices !

S'all about the memories! Thanks for sharing, Kev!

I'm hoping they do, because I would like to get me a couple of more 1/60 V2. A re-ish of the VF-1X would be nice !
