  1. I'm sure it'll be a while afore a PC version of Halo2 is available. But in the meantime, there are enough games that feature vehicles coming that I think it'll be a moot point anyway. UT2004 does sound promising, Breed is fun............can't think offhand what else is in the pipeline.............
  2. I do!!!!!!! I used to be able to only watch this show when I'd be in Illinois, just outside of Chicago at my grandparents. I remember thinking that the TV stations in NY sucked and why couldn't we get this sort of programming at home! It was pretty cool at the time. I was also able to watch Speed Racer and Johnny Socko whilst I was there. I don't remember the villians name, but the son's name is Gam. The human kid who ends up helping to fight this evil is given a whistle to summon one or all of the family. Wasn't the father robot named Goldar or something? The evil henchmen would turn into a jelly like substance when they were killed. Ah, memories of my youth...............
  3. OK I'm going to need a custom red motorcycle with a grenade launcher... Make sure it's transformable! And maybe a semi to carry it about and launch while it's moving?
  4. Well, Flip QT. This movie looks interesting to me anyway............ I didn't really like The One, I think the movies Jet Li made in Hong Kong are better. Lord of the Wu Tang (and I am sure that I've probably spelled wrong) was the first HK kung fu movie that I ever saw. It totally rocked. Jacki Chan is always fun to watch, but there again, the older stuff is better IMO.
  5. Really? When did that happen........dunno if I read about that.
  6. HL2 got pushed back till November. I too am waiting for this one. The first was very cool. Made me yelp and jump out of my chair more than once! damn head crabs.............. <_<
  7. (Seems I should have quoted Abombz last post about the shotgun......................) I hope so. Every review that I have read today has said the same thing about the level design. It seems like Bungie couldn't be as imaginative with the level design as they were with the elements of the game. I'll have to see if any of the stores in the DC area have this game yet. It'd be a nice present to myself after I take a Win2K Server exam on Tuesday!
  8. Maybe they could have ditched the entire single player mode for a co-op mode. SP mode is basically useless. <_< I can see where you'd feel that way, if you've been through the Xbox version already. I'm still hopeful for a fun SP experience.
  9. Apparently it seems to be. It would take some rewriting of the existing code to be able to have that function. Not being a programmer, I can't imagine what it takes to write something like that.
  10. I read that Bungie is considering co-op mode. They chose not to implement it due to the fact that it would have taken far longer to get the game on the shelves. I am hopeful that it will be implemented. I have not played any of the Xbox version 'cept for that time at the fair. I am still looking forward to playing this game.
  11. Been reading reviews for it to see how it translates from console. You will need at least a 2Ghz machine for it to run comfortably. But the reveiws have been favorable overall. There is just mention of some repetitiveness to the levels. I am looking forward to being able to finally play this game. Tried it briefly at a state fair last year. The Xbox controller was annoying. Gimme a mouse and an Nostromo N50 Speedpad anyday! B)
  12. I have seen both of those things. The Airsoft gun replica looks cool and if I were into that sort of thing, I'd probably have one of those. I also think the mouse is very cool. But the price leaves me with second thoughts.
  13. I saw that earlier today, but didn't really know what it was. I hope that maybe there'll be an english version.
  14. From Shirow to hentai to chromosomes...........it'll be interesting to see where this thread goes next. This thread did inspire me to change my avatar though!
  15. Thanks for the info. I'll have to check AICN and or Anime News Network more frequently.
  16. Even in ID3 - Ballistics, Shirow mentions that he is extremely busy. Sounds like the poor guy barely has enough time for himself. nghia59 - where did you find information regarding a new GITS movie? Each time I've searched for info regarding newer stuff from Shirow, I don't seem to find much. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.
  17. I have some episodes of GITS SAC on the way. I am looking forward to seeing what SAC is all about.
  18. Nice to see a thread about Shirow here. I've just read through this thread and it would seem that I should check out the Appleseed manga. I have only seen the OVA and that was about 11 years ago. I remember that I really didn't dig it. But then, maybe it's like the book to movie thing - books are always soooo much better than the movie. I have been a fan of Shirow's since I first saw Dominion Tank Police. It's still a definite favorite for me. I saw that about the same time that I saw Appleseed. I have all the Intron books to date and it's interesting to watch how Shirow's work has evolved. His hand drawn work is gorgeous but I do like the fact that he's incorporated the CG. It was cool particularly to read about how he was able to achieve some of the backgrounds and the textures that appear in ID2. Who knew that a photocopier could be so useful? I saw GITS on the big screen and subsequently got the video for it. It is a bit plodding in parts, but overall still cool. The only manga that I have read of his thus far is the GITS book, and I have been reading through MMI as it is published. Again, I know some of you don't prefer the CG that appears, but I dig it. I think it really brings the virtual world to life so much more. I admit, the story has been a little hard to follow. I think that once all the issues are published, I am going to read through them all at once. As far as fan service goes, I don't really mind so much. I can see where it would be too much. I probably will get the Eros Depot book should it ever be published............... I would love to see the next ID book be a little more mecha heavy. I really dig Shirow's use of nature influenced designs.
  19. My first thought seeing that comment was "Oh great. Now I've messed with Master Cheng's karma!" Upon further reading of this thread, I guess(?) it was a good thing that you read that article? Looking good thus far!
  20. William's YF-21 should look way better than that one hands down! I have no doubts that Master Cheng's will eclipse the other. But I agree that the paint scheme seemed a little flat. I look forward to Master Cheng's finished product! B)
  21. Ok. The box is about 11 3/4in long by about 7 1/2in wide by 2 1/2in deep. My guess is the 17.9cm measurement will make it about 7 or 8 inches when completed. The two Gundam units that come with it are really tiny!!!!!!!!! Dunno how it's possible to paint them...... At some point I will get around to building this kit. Definitely like the design of the Albion.
  22. Since this seems timely to me, what with Master Cheng's build up, here is another take on building the YF-21: YF-21 Buildup at Starship Modeler The fellow who built the model has some good and bad to say about Hasegawa's model. I think Master Cheng should send some of his completed photos to Starship Modeler to share with that community.
  23. Excellent, excellent work Drew!!!!!! The six pack is a nice touch. Keep em' coming.
