  1. I just got this(not the limited one) but the armored (desert browne/orange)one at that. He will serve as my TF Roadbuster owing to the fact that Roadbuster costs an arm and a leg these days.  This one I got for less than $80.00 though from what I read, he cost $200.00 something back in 2009.

He's got lots of accessories and diecast. My question is for those who owned the original Mugen Caliber or the TF Roadbuster is .....the groin/hip connection, was it as floppy as hell or is it just the CMs version?

I just can't lock it securely(the split part) that makes up the thigh connection part. Is that normal?

And that's why I stopped buying from Hobby Search long ago. Tired of the frustration of items getting sold out 4 minutes after they post a sale and never restocking. It's always that or they email me that it is restocked and by the time I get the email and click link it's sold out again. Or my favorite this scenario like this putting something on sale for a price you can't refuse when they clearly have like 3 to sell because it's sold out in minutes.  Don't even visit their page anymore. Amiami or Mandrake only

I feel your pain. Only feel good story I got from them was when the wait list option of theirs snagged me a VF1J armored HMR.  Silvie's Valk on the other hand was kaput! They emailed me like 5 minutes late!

MegaHouse already did it right on the previous released Orguss figures. Because basically, it came from Bandai too. ^_^

Though I have to agree with you on a HMR Mospeada figs whether the Legioss or the Ride Armors. ;)

Hopefully Evolution's license also allows for Bandai to make some.

You can't transform it once built.  During the building process, you choose which version you want to display it in.

I've kind of 'cheated', as I scanned the pages after cutting them out, and printed them on 135 kg manga paper, so I can make both versions.

    B)) Thanks for the "tip"

It's in the model section instead of the toy section. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/42203-12400-scale-tv-sdf-1/

Here is a fantastic build of a scaled up version. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/42355-tv-sdf-1-macross-11600-12400/

A blog with the build http://navy.ap.teacup.com/applet/shiba/msgcate10/archive

Thanks for the links(tried the search engine here and got zilch)! And, you can actually transform it? Or is it only Fortress or Storm attacker mode only?

I'm still in the process of building this.

I think I stopped from the frustration of packing tissues into all the large spaces, and gluing the large parts (funny how it's not the small ones, eh).

You have to stuff them? Ouch!

Huh, so I'm not the only one with a regult set stuck in customs huh? It's lame.

My amiami orders post January 6 still hanging. It's February 2,2018. Usually I'd have expected mine 3rd week of January tops.:( So yes. Very lame indeed!

@fenrir72and @sh9000: That would be be Toyworld's take on JAZZ (Coolsville ) and Arcee (Leia).

@slide: That is correct. It the NCC-1701C concept (originally designed by Dave Probert) and was posted a few pages back.

    For further clarity:

Still paint flaws on this one as well.

Edit: You think that Eaglemoss would do a better work in detailing?? Nope.. Looks like most of their customer base got the short end of the stick. Just read the rants on the boards about their CS when you have time.

    Thank you!

I don't collect MISB. My view is that toys are for display and handling and play and enjoying.

However, back when  Macross toys were more affordable, before prices went crazy, I'd often buy  2 or 3 of each toy, one or two for play and display and a third as a spare to keep in the box, just as a back-up, in case the main play toy broke or got damaged, then I'd have a spare.

I don't do that anymore, can't afford to  anymore.

But even with my spares in the box, I never cared about mint sealed boxes. It never bothered me if the box was a bit beat up or if the tape was cut.

Yup! Like Toy Story 2. Meant to be played responsibly!

Yes. It’s a different line. New line called DX Chogokin Damashii. Combattler is the third figure to be release from that line. The first two were Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. Hope they do Voltes V next. That’s an insta-buy for me. ^_^

For more info on the DX Chogokin Damashii line check this link:

    http://sp.tamashii.jp/item_brand/dx_chogokintamashii/

Also here’s a comparison between the DX release and the previous Chogokin Danashii GX-50:

For more head out to the Chogokin thread:

Holy sheet! Those are sized like the classic Godaikins! No wonder they cost Y 50,000 smackeroos! If it's Voltus I'd bite too!

OMG just put mine together the DX Combattler is simply glorious and huge! Everything screams quality and the experience from unpacking to the final combination sequence is unequalled. Opening it was like opening five awesome toys plus accessories, after which follows the even better experience of combining the whole thing. It's like bang bang bang bang bang followed by a big bada booooom!

Combattler V is bigger than Voltus? Is it different from GX-03?

Got my MP-39 Masterpiece Sunstreaker in, he's pretty neat but I do have some issues. I don't like his face, easily Takara's worst work yet, he does indeed have a weird Jay Leno vibe to him, it's the chin, it's just off. His transformation is fairly intuitive, a bit fiddly at times unfortunately, not my favorite official MP transformation but I think it's better then my third party Sunsurge. His backpack is pretty nasty too, it's not really just a backpack, but a backpack butt-flap hanging spoiler bit combo. There's a lot of stuff hanging off the back of this guy, but overall I can mostly give it a pass since Takara was forced to essentially fit two alt modes into this guy, his toon and toy accurate fictional Lambo with huge intakes mode, and a "clean" regular yellow Lambo mode to match his brother. Overall I'm happy, he has a lot of gimmicks, and he is easily Takara's most impressive figure yet from an engineering stand point, I even put him above the very insane MP-36, who I also didn't like aesthetically, but there's zero denying Takara is on point with the engineering on these new figures, so I believe the higher costs are fairly justified as well. I recommend him, he's a showboat, and that's what you want in a Sunstreaker.

Waiting for mine to arrive. As for the face, it would have been nice if Takara'd had gone for the Studio Ox style, but unfotunately, Floro Dery all the way.

Another thing to consider is how it's sent:

    3. surface mail - how often the boat leaves

I don't know the specifics in this case, but when I was living in Vancouver (the main port of entry for Canada), surface mail generally took 30 days between Vancouver and Japan, and if you (literally) missed the boat, it can take up to an additional 30 days.

Adding to the seasonal traffic, my parents (again, in Western Canada), sent 3 packages to me (in Japan) AT THE SAME TIME for Christmas last year.  The first arrived in Jan., the second in Feb., and the last, in Mar.!

Weird, but true.  (In that case, it would have had to have been on the Canada Post side, as the Japanese side is very efficient and prompt.  E.g.: we get mail delivered twice a day!)

    Agreed.

I wouldn't have posted this or escalated with Paypal if they just responded properly to my e-mail. If you've told me it's shipped on the 4th of December and it's now New Years Eve, that's a long time between drinks without telling me the situation.

When I e-mailed about it I didn't get anything more than a generic response that it'd take 10 business days (which has been exceeded) and a tracking number that doesn't match the shipping date e-mailed and still hasn't left Tokyo for over 2 weeks from the 15th despite the fact it was supposedly shipped on the 4th? That's really fishy to me when you don't tell me what's going on despite my e-mail inquiry.

I just want the truth if there's a delay and not be jerked around. If they told me they made a mistake and it'll take longer than planned, that's not a problem. But to insist it's been shipped nearly a month ago when the tracking number doesn't correlate then they're not doing a great job at all.

They are technically correct. It shipped out of their hands. Just be patient I guess..............in my case I've got like #1 Battlestar Galactica, #1 BD, #4 Legends TF,#1 MP,#1 figma, #1 Daiki figure, #2 DVDs,#1 Macross papercraft and @1 TF decal set (all December #8 up). They will all arrive eventually (hopefully by the end of January). Thank gawd my SDF#1 arrive through the Christmas rush.

Just for those that are thinking of ordering from them here's my story:

Ordered a Hi-Metal VF-2SS from them and received an e-mail on the 4 December saying that it's been shipped. On the 15th of December I e-mailed them about the situation asking for an update. All they did was e-mail me the same tracking number they gave me eariler. Over 2 weeks since then I check AGAIN the tracking number- it hasn't left Tokyo for over 2 weeks. E-mailed them last week about it but they never responded.

I've opened a Paypal dispute with them. Hoping for a positive outcome but I don't recommend them.

I don't know them from Adam but the item not moving from Tokyo is beyond their control. Once they send it to the delivery entity, it is out of their hands. Happened to me with Amiami when some of my orders didn't move (?) for a week or so. Either:

    1. season traffic

    or

    2. Tracking wasn't updated by Japan Post
