  1. Thanks @sumyumgoy

I use the following queries but still catch them late. Looks like HLJ's database sorts queries at different times of the day.

    Hatchette New Arrivals:
    https://www.hlj.com/search/?q=*&productFilter=arrivedDate%3ALast 7 days%3B%3Bmanufacturer%3AHachette Collections Japan.

    Yamato Sort New:
    https://www.hlj.com/search/?q=*&productFilter=arrivedDate%3ALast 7 days%3B%3Bseries%3ASpace Battleship Yamato 2199 %2F Space Battleship Yamato 2202%3B%3Bmanufacturer%3AHachette Collections Japan.

But If I search for "yamato 2202 1/350 087" it does show so, that might be the best option.

I tried getting the Binders and other stuff from them direct and of course no go without a proxy.
I was able to get an answer if it is removable from the base from them, it is ^_^

DHL, which has actually been a 1/3 cheaper and as fast or faster than EMS (to the east coast US).

Oddly, mykombini charged me MORE for DHL than EMS on the DX VF-1A.

3rd bridge was a pain to put together, especially the hydrolic pistons. Got a teeny bit of glue on the outside, not bad. I got more glue on an aileron of the VF-1.

I still need to build 081-083, I will either have to disassemble one section of hull for the wings (i put a magnet in backwards) or assemble the wing with opposite magnet polarities.

Secured 20-22 of the VF-1 from hlj. Still need 079 of Yamato.

Definitely the most fun models I've ever built.

    So strange,

I'm having no luck catching the Yamato issues lately before they go to "order stop"
I usually have to wait until they go to backorder.
And I check daily, wonder is fewer quantities are being produced.

Just to make the shipping worthwhile I'm getting 2 sets of the Yamato, one to build and one likely to sell (I'm sure I'll lose money on the effort) . Issue 079 I wasn't able to get a 2nd. Will have to get it from an auction source. Only getting one set of the Macross VF-1 because the shipping is already covered by the yamato. I really wish they had done the TV SDF-1 instead of the VF-1S. Missing 20-22 of the VF-1.

How are you having them shipped if I may ask?

    SAL or DHL?

I'm in the same boat, I'm down 20 something issues and they're all sitting in HLJ's warehouse.  As for other retail sources, I fortunately haven't had to go to another one. HLJ's been good for me in staying current with the issues.  However, I've noticed a lot of vendors in Japanese auctions selling varying amounts of the Hachette issues, so that could be alternative if you don't mind using a proxy service.

    Yeah, Getting kinda sketchy.....
HLJ has been good to me also but miss one issue.... Investment/project over!

    :(

Up to issue 82 on the Hachette Yamato...I don't see how they finish this thing in 28 more issues.  Only 2/3 of the hull is done.  There's the whole fighter bay and engine compartments yet to build.

I'm building it too, but I've got the last 20 issues in my HLJapan private warehouse.
Just too expensive or unreliable to ship to the USA currently.

Wondering if there is another retailer that I should be purchasing from?
Missing or loosing just 1 issue in the mail could be devastating......

The new teaser trailer for the current Megazone project just dropped (with a splat). I would be keeping my ear close to the ground for new upcoming toy releases. Although, it seems there have been a few new releases as of late.

Alas there was no strike garland in the new trailer..:(

Was that trailer only available to backers?
    Didn't see it anywhere online.

I see a lot of complaints about price and availability, but as far  as I'm concerned this is the golden age of Macross toy collecting.

Were any of you guys around here or collecting Macross toys in the late 90's, and early millenium?  Now THERE was a time of misery when it came to collecting.  First of all, what was there to collect?  If you wanted a variable fighter there were two choices: Bandai and Takatoku, both of which were 1/55 scale "chunky monkeys" that are aesthetically hideous when compared to even a V1 Yamato.

I remember scouring ebay for whatever 1/55 valkyrie's that I could.  The holy grails back then were the Bandai Strike Valkyrie, Super Ostrich and the 'Seeker.  Do any of you guys remember the prices back then, IF you could even find one to bid on?  Oh about $1200 or so, and that was just for the Bandai Strikes; I never got into the Ostrich and the 'Seeker because they were even more expensive and harder to find.  Hell I remember even missing a mortgage payment because I was so feverish trying to get a Bandai 'Strike that was MIB for about $1300.

So yeah, these PO sessions suck because they're hard to succeed with and you've got unscrupulous sellers like NIN NIN marking things up by almost 100%, but try and remember that even at $500 for a Roy, you're getting a far SUPERIOR toy for a fraction of the cost of a much more simpler toy that cost that much more when there was virtually nothing to buy.  If you had shown me a DX 'Roy back in 1999 I would've sold my soul for it.  Today, you've got Yamato, Bandai, Arcadia, and even Toynami and the reissue '55s if that's your thing.  Ultimately everyone needs to lighten up; if you want these new generation toys you'll get it, and it won't be as hard to do so or nearly as expensive as it was for old-time collectors like me...

I hear ya, but good lord $54.48 for shipping :(

Has anyone been able to get anime export to ship any missile sets?

They keep telling me that "shipment to USA is currently suspended  by Japan post."
Assuming Japan post is the only method they use to ship....

Got my answer, sounds reasonable, but frustrating nevertheless:
"getting a quote from them takes several days due to being massivingly overwhelmed. Shall we request a shipment cost by DHL for your shipment ? "

How does one find the preorder page on HLJ?
Search once it goes on sale?

Good luck with that big buddy! (on hlj)

Btw, speaking of which, nothing up yet among the usual suspects. The PO page that is.

Oh believe me I'm not interested, ok with my Movie Hikaru.

I just remember some people have scored on HLJ before and I'm fascinated how that was achieved without a bot.

  11. Has anyone received shipping notice from MyKombini for their super parts?
Sent email Friday asking for status but no reply yet.
Earlier in the week they asked for another 350 yen stating the shipping was more than they expected ~_~
