Megatron can be a triple-changer.. a gun and a tank. A gun will not be realistic, but we don't have to use all the parts.. if so, it can be of the correct scale. The unused parts form another thing, say, a (smaller) tank or the gun's carrying case.

Is this so? I know that the retail prices in Singapore are similar to that of Japan. Since this is inclusive of shipping, the retailers must have a cheaper source. HK should be even cheaper, I believe. Could it be that the toys ship straight from China? I wonder about Malaysia and Taiwan.

Unlike many others here, I'm not so fixated on the VF-1 or other VFs. I only have a 1/48 VF-1S (1.0), a VF-1J and two FAST packs. If I had known the 1/48 VF will come out, I may have skipped the 1/60 VF altogether. I have two of those, the VF-1A and the VF-1S, non-FAST pack. I like character figures, but I skip the expensive ones. I prefer canon dressing and posing. The 1/6 PVC swimsuit Misa is nice, but non-canon, and I cannot convince myself to get it. Of course, they must look like the character too! (Many figures fail this test; Macross or not) Also, I find there is too many Minmay and no one else! Where's Misa? For books, I curse the day I found out I can still find them on the market. I probably paid on the high side for many of them due to my "enthusiasm". I still don't have any "rare" books yet. Posters.. none right now, and quite unlikely, unless I can get them cheap. Music.. I didn't bother previously because I thought the 3-disc set Macross the Complete is complete. Is it? Doesn't seem so to me. I don't know if I should buy the bootleg CDs.. originals are not available anymore.

What's so great about the Gold book for a Japanese-illiterate (like me)? Half of it is DYRL -- that can be had for much cheaper if you buy the film manga. The other half are b&w sketches (iirc). I do have the book; just that I don't think it is worth what it usually goes for. (If I were more rational at that time, I wouldn't have bought it.. )

Picture of my Minmay, DYRL. Not very well posed. Any guidance is appreciated. The problem is the hand points slightly downwards. To make it point straight, the legs will look wrong. As a matter of fact, I have difficulty getting it to stand straight! Did anyone notice that in DYRL, Minmay holds the mike in her right hand and points with her left, but most of the models are opposite?

Hopefully this means the prices will come down and then I can get the Minmay doll after all! I could have gotten three sets for what I paid. As been noted, a set is not really random. Without the secret doll, it is complete. (So, buy two boxes and swap. )

When I got my first 1/6 PVC figure, I didn't see the metal rod and couldn't pose the figure! For the Minmay (school) figure, I put one side of the white piece between her hair and her body. This makes her stand very nicely. I fold the other side down, so looking from the front, you wouldn't see any support at all. Does anyone pose the figures without using the supports? What do you use? However, I don't want to glue the soles to the stand.

The tv series and DYRL are two different continuities. In DYRL, they fall in love more-or-less at the same time. In the tv series, Misa starts to like Hikaru much earlier. The question is, when and why?

I have a simpler real-world explanation. Could it be that Harmony Gold could claim ownership or distribution rights to it? Sometimes I feel the story is better for it. Sequels usually do not live up to expectations. But I would have like additional stories to fill in the original tv series.

When does Misa start to like Hikaru? More importantly, why? From what I can see, Misa has a poor (if any) impression of Hikaru, after he called her "old woman" , but all of a sudden, Claudia knew Misa liked him and told her so. (Can't remember the episode, though.)

Sorry, my mistake. It's a CD cover; it's not a LD. If so, I'm not as interested because the CD image is much smaller and may not scan well.

Just now, while browsing eBay, I came across this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=13668 . I'm not so much interested in the LD than the LD cover. I've not seen it since .. a long time ago. Does anyone has a large (>640 x 480) image of it? I have a fond memory of it because I once made it into a greeting card, on an Canon BJC600. (That's how long ago it was. ) Maybe this is not the right forum, but does anyone know what's the LD like? Is it worth buying? (Or will it be released on DVD? )
