  1. Looks like it'll need its own drawer to store in and keep track of all the parts to transform, either that or it's own big baggy.
  2. Well, pre-retcon it was about the size of a VF-1.
  3. Wow they look pretty crappy. I had a better impression before. Hope it's just because it's a pic in a magazine that got scanned.
  4. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, looking gooooood.
  5. Wow. Legs still aren't integrated into the body, what a surprise.
  6. The tweaked web exclusive trailer: on Aint It Cool News
  7. Co-op rocks when you're playing with buddies. Versus is brutal when the zombie team is well organized and played right.
  8. Ah okay, sorry to get hopes up guys. I don't watch Gundam. Thought maybe it was a prototype on display that people hadn't picked up on yet. Oh well!
  9. In short: Unknown if Yamato can make the VF-17 Nightmare. While that design originated in Macross 7, which Bandai is still sitting on the license of (like Frontier), it also appears in the game Macross VFX2. The murky part of this is that Yamato has some type of license for Macross VFX2 as they have in the past released the VF-19A Excaliber (1/72 scale way back in the beginning), the 1/100 scale VB-6 Koenig Monster, and they are going to release the VF-19A Excalibur as a GN-U figure as well as the VFX Ravens schemed VF-11B. The thing is that Yamato has not released the VF-19A Excalibur in 1/60 scale (simple repaint of the YF-19). So we wonder if they have the license to make VFX2 stuff in 1/60 scale. There was a rumor floating around that Bandai somehow prevented Yamato from re-releasing the 1/100 scale Koenig Monster. There was also some kind of license issue going on which Graham couldn't tell us about, which doesn't matter as Yamato hasn't been talking to poor Graham lately anyway.
  10. I don't remember the details of Macross II valkyries, but I found this floating around on the sea known as the internet. Is this a VF-2 valkyrie II or something that just looks similar? Because it's kind of what I remember the valkyries looking like in Macross II.
  11. Way back when Taurus Aldebaran was soon to be released, in the announced planning was Shaina for December (Taurus Aldebaran was coming out in October or November). But she was replaced with another figure and we never heard about her since. Never even saw any prototype pictures of her, but she was in the works back then. As for the VF-25, it's not anorexic like it should be, it's badly proportioned, it has crappy landing gear, and it has problems in each mode (especially fighter with the gaps in the back where the legs should be integrated). When you see what Bandai did with Saint Seiya toys, then you look at what they did with the VF-25, you know they could have done better (especially with the work they did on the model kit).
  12. Oh man, steel saints before Shiryu, Hyoga, Ikki, and Shun get their God Cloths? Ouch. Talk about not getting any love. And Steel Saints before Marine and Shaina? What the hell happened to their planned Shaina release? Was it that bad or something? Was she chunky like the DX VF-25? I mean what happened?
  13. Woaaaah. That was an awesome trailer. Definitely better seen on the big screen than the bootlegs or the official release to the web on monday. Awesome to see the Enterprise come out of warp into a battlefield with the red alert klaxon sounding. I do hope they don't spend much time on Kirk or Spock as kids.
  14. I liked it. It wasn't as good as Casino Royale, but it was a lot more entertaining than the older Bond movies and especially the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies.
  15. I like what I've seen. Flaming zombies running at me freaked me right the hell out when I set a large group on fire. Then I caught on fire from the horde that ran at and past me...
  16. I see what you mean now anime52k8. I would have liked if they had been able to engineer it to make the wings in battroid more like the lineart, but oh well, it's not a dealbreaker for me. Some kind of hidden device to rotate the wings after you fold them, to bring them up higher and turn them more... Oh well.
  17. While I found that to be true as well, Saint Seiya has a much bigger fanbase than Macross, and a much higher demand for those toys. While Toywave and ebay will be a way to get these Bandai Exclusives for Macross Frontier, they probably won't be as abundant and will probably cost more (supply and demand thing).
  18. Actually most decent figures at a similar size go for more than 4500 yen. The price isn't bad at all really. As for the price for the sculpt, I'd need to see more and better pictures.
  19. Bandai likes exclusives. Be happy they're not making the VF-25G or RVF-25 exclusives. Some important characters from Saint Seiya were released as Saint Cloth Myth exclusives that you could get only if you got a certain number of Proofs of Purchase from having bought a number of Saint Cloth Myth figures. Then again, maybe Bandai will do this with the VF-27... Buy the VF-25F, VF-25G, RVF-25, and the VF-25S to get all the proofs of purchase, then you send those in with 17000yen and you can buy it (offer available only to Japanese residents).
  20. I grew up on the original series and original series movies. I like the new design, it'll just take some getting used to. I like the nacelles.
  21. Well if it's not from the movie, they used one of the movie shuttles to have it fly towards the Enterprise. I prefer the photochop of the neck moved up to just above the deflector dish. The pylons for the nacelles look strange so far to the aft of the body. The design will grow on me, I'm just weirded out as it's a strange cross between the original TV ship and the classic movie ship, with some new design bits tossed in. The phaser arrays look like the ones used on the classic movie Enterprise.
  22. A lot of people have that issue with the VF-1. The VF-11 is carrying along the torch just fine.
  23. Woah that VF-25S is so neeto-keen awesome with it's turtle impression and the shoulders almost above head level! And the drooping gerwalk is too wicked cool, looking like it's going to droop itself in half. Everyone's right it was just not transformed right the entire time! What magnificent posing! And that giganto-cock of doom!
  24. Wouldn't make sense to turn Ninja Scroll into a live-action western, as the meaningless title would lose even more meaning...
  25. I'm not sure I get entirely what you mean anime52k8. What I think you're saying is that the wingtips shouldn't be hanging down so low, and should be closer to the lineart with the wingtips stopping near where the booster nozzles on the fastpacks begin. Shorter wings in basics, like the lineart. More compromises are needed on the older non-cg model designs. I agree it would look better with shorter wings in battroid, but I prefer the longer wings so that fighter and gerwalk aren't freakish with tiny stubs. The rest of battroid is overall great, so the wings aren't a killer for me. It has the VF-11 essence there. Oh yes, pic taken from Mr. March's fantastic Macross Mecha Manual.
