Marvel Studios TV Shows and Animation on Disney+
jvmacross replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I have a feeling Ego would be way more successful in that timeline than the one we initially knew about....I think a guy mopping floors at a fast food place would be easier to corrupt....- 1494 replies

Not sure why he is getting labeled as a "good guy". He basically seems to have his own "code" he lives by, which is essentially self-serving. During the final few episodes of The Mandalorian, he essentially helped Din as a way to "pay back" his debt to him...once he thought that was paid in full, he cut loose....he did not stick around for any "good deed" OT...I think the problem is that we knew very little of him based off the films and what we did know of him placed him in the "bad guy" side of the Star Wars Galaxy...most casual fans probably know little of his character from the Clone Wars TV or his EU backstories...so the new backstory we have of him from The Mandalorian is, if anything, simply making his character a little more "grey" than just a pure "bad guy"......Maybe they'll kill him off for good by the end of his show....

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
jvmacross replied to sh9000's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
LOL. When you are that "one" fully vaccinated, mask wearing guy who ends up in the ICU....I'm sure you'll be like..."Seeing Shang-Chi on the big screen was totally worth it!"- 84 replies

The pandemic has actually changed everything...there really is no way to predict much of anything these days.....Halloween has been a thing at the park for years so that hasn't changed and yes, things start slowing down about now, but is really isn't historically the slowest time...among the slowest yeah, like you said, most families are traditionally starting to gear up for school so that is expected

Well, about to be the slowest....the slowest times are in September thru Thanksgiving...and then right after the Christmas holidays thru February....before we had kids we'd go right before Thanksgiving....not only were the crowds manageable, but you benefitted from the parks all being decked out for Christmas...but honestly, the pandemeic has pretty much upended all expectations when it comes to visiting the parks these days.... The StarCruiser is an easy pass for me...when they first announced the idea...I was hoping for a "Star Wars" themed resort.....this is more like a multi-day dinner theatre experience....

Ride wait times have been hitting lows on their most popular rides at WDW and I also read that the ROTR actually had stand-by entrance for the first time since it opened.....guessing Delta is making folks think twice about heading to WDW...I'm glad I went when they dropped the mask requirements for a few weeks at the start of summer, but getting to ride Avatar or 7 Dwarf Mine Cart's in under 40 minutes would have been nice...but I guess once a day was good enough The Genie app sounds interesting, but I'm good figuring out my own itinerary...so for me it sounds like the pay to play feature would be the only thing I'd be interested in...to be honest, all but the most popular rides can be riden in under 20-30 minutes....and if you don't mind waiting to ride the popular rides closer to park's close, you can ride most of those in under 30 minutes too

The 'Hey look at this really cool model build I saw' post

Not sure if this has been posted -
It came out that way and it was not mentioned....I think you received a damaged -1D from them, so obviously you are not in that group... "new normal" or not....some things have not changed...like paying for something and the expectation of receiving it.....others received theirs weeks ago upon the initial release...damaged or not........several did not and are still waiting after many weeks of "assurances"...it is not that hard to understand why some would start to feel they are being ripped-off..... But, it seems the retailer is trying to fix things, so let's see if they do

Yes, it is true that we are dealing in a vastly different business climate....but with that said, respect and trust in the places you do business with during these times are more valued now than they ever have been before...so thank you @LUNA PARK for addressing the issue here, you did not have to but I admire that you did (although you were told weeks ago and sent direct links to this thread) and I hope you can do much better on the next round of shipments....bad things happen to anyone and everyone deserves a second chance, but many will be watching how you do the next time and I would say most are not as forgiving after a second bad experience....good luck to you! And to all the folks finger-wagging at members here for "not having patience or understanding".... ....your rhetoric is easy to spew when you don't have hundred's of dollars on the line or perhaps have already went through the experience of actually getting ripped-off under similar circumstances via Nippon Yassan.......how about some of you showing some "understanding" as to why some members may feel the way they do? Now that Luna Park has chimed in, let's take a pause on the complaints and let Luna Park correct their mistakes as they are promising to do...if you have not reached out to them, I advise you to do so now.... Until every member here who ordered from Luna Park receives their item(s) we shouldn't start patting them on the back for a job "well done"...talk is cheap...DX VF-1D's aren't...

Now that HG has a "legit" iron grip on the SDFM/DYRL license outside of Japan....they have no reason not to.... May as well release that vinyl Glaug too! http://reggiocomics.blogspot.com/2011/02/toy-fair-2011-toynami-newcoming-macross.html
