    Did Noel ever disclose the reason why BW would not grant his company a license for the Macross Zero F-14? It would be interesting if BW and HG were already in talks about their deal during this time and maybe it was HG who may have been involved with rejecting any licensing requests to products intended for sale outside of Japan...regardless of which series it was from....

    It's interesting that ThreeZero opted not to use the Japanese Macross logos anywhere in their VF-1 releases.....it seems like something that would be done if trying to possibly differentiate releases between Japan and outside of Japan.... If that is their plan, they were smart to release the "Robotech" versions first as I know I would have went with the "Macross" versions instead...

    I guess that means they have started producing again, at least to fulfill more paid orders.... My only concern now is that this second run is being financed by the funds from the recent kickstarter.....guess we won't really know until March to see if their proposed 2025 release schedule will be adhered to....

    If only that was the case.... Based on how the BW license has been granted since 1982....no company that is not Japanese has ever held a long term BW Macross license....since BW has forsaken the SDFM license due to HG's continued stranglehold on all things SDFM TV....it is unlikely that anyone will be able to get a BW license for SDFM and by default....DYRL outside of Japan...is it possible? In theory yes, but in practice for the last 40 years....probably not....especially now that a legal agreement is actually in place between BW and HG..... In the past, HG seemed to have had no issues granting licenses to companies looking to release DYRL based toys and paint schemes....that no longer seems to be something that HG is willing to allow....I had asked KC about DYRL schemes VFs...but they said they could not...I did not press as to why they could not, but it probably has to do with the new BW-HG deal...

    Other than limited day licenses for hobby shows/events....BW doesn't appear to grant licenses for non-Japanese merch companies...would be interested to know why...cost? Or some other reason....

    Nah....bottomline is that apparantly no one without a BW license (HG license only) can release DYRL toys anymore....Otherwise KC would definitely have done it by now...

    These, like The KC VFs, have a ton of tampo....there would be changes to that as well to distinguish between TV and DYRL....it would be interesting though...unlike the KCs....the ThreeZero VFs seem to purposefully not include the "Macross" logos....so maybe ThreeZero is trying to suck up to BW to be allowed to release Japan-only versions...lol

    You'd think a larger scale would have facilitated perfect transformation.....not much of a Mospeada collector but I do appreciate the show's original mecha designs....this doesn't...

    That last episode of Pirate's of the Outer Rim even went as far as to ripoff the pirate's code! I think I even heard Captain Wolfman Jack bark out a derogatory "bilge rat" to his crew at some point...because that's what pirate's say in galaxies far, far away too....lol

    Bought my son a Meta Quest 3 for Xmas..... I admit that waiting for a Fighter plane VR game to come out for the PSVR2 helped make the decision to buy the MQ3 easier... Additionally, one of the PSVR2 controllers for it went bad and had to get it repaired.... Anways....right off the bat I found 3 VR fighter plane games and I'm looking for a space fighter VR game now.... Also....watched the 4K DYRL that was posted on MW recently on the MQ3 and it was like watching it on a giant screen at the movie theater.....really nice! Anyone else have the MetaQuest VR and can recommend some games? It also came with a Batman games....looks good but have not spent too much time on it...

    It was about 2 months between the time I received my standard regults and the missile carrier types....by March I hope to be receiving my Regult pilot figs....assuming everything goes "as planned" in KC-land....

    Non-transforming Macross mecha seems to be KC's forte....hope to see more in 2025!

    Maybe all those old republic credits get laundered by the Sith (Remnant insiders/Palpatine's acolytes, etc) to fund the massive Final Order fleet seen in TROS....those ships were clearly not based on the Star Destroyer designs used by the First Order...they were more like the ones used by the Empire during the Rebellion era...it would be right up Disney Star Wars' alley to require an entire show to explain how that Final Order fleet got built and funded in secret....especially when it was implied that most in the First Order were not even aware of it....

    No one should have been shocked about this....this was called out before the first episode even streamed....even a filthy casual could have seen this one coming.... Once again, this show is essentially taking concepts from every Star Wars show out there...EU stuff too.... The writing process for this episode was just tossing out ideas of how to stretch out the episode so that "stuff happens" along the way to get the kiddos back to their ship....oh and toss in a new ship to $ell an extra toy or 3 to the adult collectors watching the show.....worked out for The Mandalorian! And bad guys with lightsabers are still one of the pillars of Star Wars so by completely ignoring the big lightsaber reveal from the previous episode the geniuses at D+'s Lucasfilm are obviously going for the hail mary for the last episode.....either way using the lightsaber reminds me of how it was used at the end of the Solo movie.....pretty sure Hasbro has a Pirate Lightsaber hilt coming out soon!

    Cospa Macross SDF-1 t-shirt... Oddly enough the tag implies the SDF-1 should be based off the film version....works for me though as I prefer all things Macross TV..... Probably my last Macross acquisition of 2024...looking forward to what 2025 brings in terms of Macross collecting...
