I finally got mine last night. Didn't even have time to fully transform it yet. It's sitting on my dresser in Gerwalk right now. Something I did notice is that the head is not centered/aligned correct. I haven't transformed it to Battroid to see if it's easy to manipulate but from Fighter/Gerwalk it was pretty much impossible to straighten back out. From most angles you can't eve see it, but from top-down (the very first view I got of it in the packaging) it was really noticeable.

Anybody sticker theirs with the low vis ones instead?
-
Wow, that looks fantastic. How long did you work on that model? Any chance of a transformable version in that V.2?
-
This is getting more and more interesting! What does that original SHE Kit you mentioned this is based off of look like?
-
I wish that's all it was here in the U.S.. :-\

Depends where you live...

Damn, the anticipation is killing me. I should recieve mine tomorrow. The joys of living in th midwest.
Mine has been sitting at Fed Ex in Albuquerque since Friday morning. Talk about killing me.

Isn't the toy lacking some color or markings?
Graham mentioned earlier that the designer specifically left the two Kites and the Diamond Force logo off because he didn't think they looked very good.
-
...let's get something new...like a 1/3000 TV SDF-1.
Fourthed!

Dang, I'm bummed it took extra time for mine to ship. It's sitting here in Albuquerque at Fed Ex and I can't get it until Monday.
-
Hmm, I guess my estimate it would arrive today is off. Though Fed Ex says it went through customs yesterday and now it's been "In Transit" for over 24 hours... I hope that doesn't mean it's lost.

Didn't the VF-X game version have the same paint scheme, or nearly so, as the version we see Hikaru flying in FB 2012?
Also, I've been meaning to ask this, but does anyone have size comparisons between the VF-4 and the rest of the valk line up?
I know what the VF-4 looks like, but I really would like to see how it stacks up against the other valks. I really don't want to spend over
$300 on a valk that is the same size as the VF-1.....a size closer to the VF-11 would be better (although it's not that big of a difference).
Well this is nice and unofficial but it kinda shows their sizes.

Hmm, my 17 has shipped the exact same day my 19 did (same day of the week) and it's in the process of shipping from Anchorage at approximately the same time and same day of the week the 19 did as well. If everything holds out it should be here in Abq. by tomorrow afternoon just like the 19.
-
Ordinarily I'm for any sort of Max Repaint scheme that could exist (VF-11 please!) however I feel like the Max scheme for the VF-4 is horrible looking.
-
Let's see what the price is first. I'm leaning towards buying one but we will see. I'm curious abouthow they pull off proportions as well.

Hey Graham, how does this thing feel in Battroid in terms of durability versus the 19S? (My ankle issues aside) I thought the 19 felt so solid it was as if it were manufactured to be Battroid only (really, all of the modes felt like the toy was designed to only be in that configuration.) Does the 17 also feel this sturdy?

Looking at some of the previous transformable resin kits from this Japanese's blog, VF-4G is going to be a big challenge for Yamato to achieve a fully transformable mechanism with multiple swinging bars and swivel points.
I think that is some pretty ridiculous over-engineering.
-
Very tempting... but let's wait for some more info and a price. If I have to assemble it myself but that makes it cheaper I'm okay with that. Painting probably won't happen though. If it's like the Regult where I have to do the work plus pay through my ass I'm not going for it though.
-
That looks like fun.
-
It beats manufacturer error. As long as the user didn't break something it can be corrected. We should be so lucky if manufacturer error occurs on these toys.

After getting a few of those little Yamato 1/200 Gashapons of the VA-3 I think I'm a lot more interested in how this turns out then I already was.

I had to push the arm pretty far in, and relatively hard, before it would click and stay in place. I'm not telling you to force it but it may just be really stiff and hard to lock in place. It took me quite awhile to get the arm to lock.
-
Well, if it is discontinued I'm glad I sprung for a third C so I can display one in each mode. It's funny though, after getting the VF-19S (despite my issues with the crappy ankles) the 11 feels really cheap and old compared to how seemless and elegant the 19 is put together and transforms and handles.
-
help me!!! I cannot lock the arms in battroid mode is there some kind of trick or is a simply production defect
What do you mean by "lock?"
-
Ignoring the BRIGHT yellow stripes, I kinda like the fact there aren't markings because it makes it look more stealthy. That being said for $300+ they could have tossed us a bone and I know more than a few of you want it to look exactly like the show version without having to slap decals on it.

So far they've been decent. The fact this Gerwalk has a back half that sticks out so far helps keep some of the weight off of the toes (though it will, as all of the Gerwalks do, tilt towards the forward toes.) So far it's been pretty stable and can dig its nose right into the Earth without tipping. I was going to test out some more dramatic/severe poses to see how it handles it tonight. Will let you know. So far I'm still not super happy that I can't really bend the feet back, or forward, as much though.
The Ankles on this thing are a hell of a lot tighter then my 19S as well.
