Oh my gawd...
-
Hey, that's a smart way to mount the Launch Arm. It's looks really nice and suits the mounting of a Valkyrie. You could even do it upside down with that thing. Cool stuff!
-
Really? And here I thought this whole thread was just one big fun waste o' time I'll keep my eye on the page. THanks.
-
Whoa! May I suggest toning down the combat a bit. I don't want to see this thread get locked
-
See page 1 of the thread... But, here's the link anyway... http://www.designpaulchampagne.com/Macross/macross.html Hmmm, well I have been to this page before, but I assumed it was just for the big Macross boxes. I can see there is a passing mention of the Macross Plus boxes, but that's it. I'll keep this link handy assuming this is where the new Mac+ stuff will appear. Thanks.
-
Yay! Looks like the boxes are ready to begin. Just some note keeping, it would be really helpful if Paul C. could provide a page or link here in this thread that us interested parties could follow to purchase our boxes. THanks.

I've been unable to access the MacrossWorld boards since Friday, so I aplogize for not posting when I said I would. Some strange error kept coming up everytime I tried the site. Regardless, I can certainly help with those pictures if need be. Let me know.
-
I certainly can, depending upon the sizes we're talking. Regardless, you'll have to wait until I get home later this afternoon. Maybe someone else can host for you sooner. I'll check this thread as soon as I get home and if you still need hosting, I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Mildy amusing. Looks like it belongs on AICN. About the same maturity level, all it needs is a few more "ROXORS!"

B. And B!

Some clarification on pricing for those that are concerned... As it was established on the SDF project, the M+ case will be $35 + shipping. This is a discounted price for a custom and numbered release. Those who bought the SDF will benefit from an extra discount and be able to buy the case for $30 + shipping. This is also a price established by Paul based upon those who voted interest in the case, and not those who actually bought the case which was significantly less. . Paul is still honoring his prices despite the turnout of the SDF project. So to sum up... $30 - $40 bucks or so. Give or take a few dollars if you live somehwere that requires extra shipping. That's a reasonable price for a very low product run of a custom. I’m sorry to hear about the poor turnout for the Macross box set. However, I believe I posted at the time that the biggest problem with a custom Macross box for the 9 disc set was finding a use for the original box. This is the reason I never considered involving myself in the first custom sale. I would have liked to own the custom designs since they were far superior to the ugly official box, but that leaves an empty box which I refuse to discard. I didn’t like the idea of filling the official box with non-Macross DVDs and I simply don’t have enough miscellaneous Macross DVDs to make the box useful. Regardless, I’m definitely willing to purchase two Macross Plus boxes for the price provided in this thread. I’d prefer if we could close the design voting soon. Who knows how I’ll feel about spending money on these boxes if a month or so goes by.

I can't help it, I've got to go with #2 now. The final design of the cockpits with that great spine is just too much! Sorry triangles...I do still love you, but I got to go with the cockpits
-
Yeah, me neither. I'm not big on the techie or colored spine desert myself. I'm just pumping out ideas. Feel free to chime in some more! Like this? No, no, I mean the big words in vertical. I do like the triangles, but I like the big words "Macross Plus" with that blue glow outline on the spine of the box. The Macross Plus logos on each of the side panels is nice, but somehow I like it better without anything put the cockpit pictures on those sides. Nope, I still hate those minature cockpits on the spine. I prefer the black and white, Isamu desert scape on the spine.
-
Not a big fan of the "techie" designs. Hate to say it, but I really don't like the colored desert scape on the spine either. However, the triangle is a nice addition to the cockpit spine. But at the same time, I really like the "Macross Plus" on the spine rather than the top of the box.
-
Thanx! Good to see its growing on someone else too and its not just me! If it get's much better, I'm gonna have no choice but to choose it. I really like the motif. Those big panels of the two cockpits look great and I love the enhanced "Macross Plus" title on the side. The enhancement really makes the words stand out, it's not invasive, and the brightness and color totally matches the overall palette. I really like it.
-
Something on top? Where on top? Above the spine? I need details... heeeeelp meee... Hmm... saving $$$... that brings up a question. Anyone know how much this is gonna be yet? I'll most likely buy both. After Paul let us have two designs, I cant let his gracious gesture go unnoticed. I think he means the top of the box. The spine and the panels look fine, but it's just black on the top of the box. As long as the price isn't insane, I'll be interested in buying two boxes. Hopefully it's around $30-$40 at most. I don't want to be paying $100 per box
-
AlphaHX you bastard! You're gonna make me switch my vote to the cockpit box by making it irresistable Damn, it's looking great!
-
#3 is my first choice. I love that cockpit design, but I suppose I can only vote for one
-
If we have to have this design, than leave it as is. I definitely DO NOT like the previous version with Guld/Isamu on the spine, so I would vote to leave them out. That's my only "hate" if you wanted to know
-
Bingo! Not married and no kids. My parents want that to be different. They want me to stop collecting and playing video games. They want to start looking for a wife. Frankly at my age, I think it is over for me. Hence why I enjoy myself. Besides who wants to be with a guy like me who collects this stuff? I know I might sound like a broken record (cause I've posted this before on MW), but don't sell yourself short. I hate to see fellow geeks down on themselves when it comes to relationships. Especially as people grow into their mid-to-late 20s they gain a new respect for those qualities that make you more desirable than the next guy. You've got a good job and you're obviously stable. You have no idea how much you already have going for you. Trust me, I'm a geek in my late 20's and I date regularly. You're the man Godzilla...never let anyone tell you differently
-
Probably your question was directed to Godzilla but I'll answer it anyways. I keep all the plastic trays stacked in one box and the cardboard boxes flattened in another. Those boxes are pretty big to house all of them. I've managed to keep most of all the Yamato and Bandai re-issues in one closet space. Damn, that's a great idea. Granted, I have only three Yammies, but still, it would save some space. Thanks for the tip!
-
I could learn some storage skills from you! For the amount of stuff in your place, you sure have found an efficient way to make the most of what little storage space is available. Hell, I only have 3 yammies and about a dozen other toys/models/display pieces, but I have trouble finding room for all of them and their boxes
-
Must...have...the new triangles box! Wow, that triangles box looks fantastic! That is my new favorite by far. Want it! Number 21 is looking a lot better now! The simplified look definitely works for that desert landscape. The cockpits one is really good, but I don't like the smaller cockpit pictures on the spine. Doesn't look right.
-
Best news I've seen all thread. If you can read this, thanks a bunch Paul! Hell, I might buy both designs just because the choice was offered. I think one of my other friends would like a case for their Macross Plus DVDs anyway.
-
Fine. I'm voting 10, or Dark if you want to call it that. Anything but 21.
