I'm an Anime fan I guess I'm not self-hating, but I also loath the majority of anime fans. Most of the other ones I've met are galloping botards who never shower, write stupid inuyasha goku slash fiction or some such bullshit, and wouldn't know plot or character development if it bit them in the ass. Let me tell you a story about a guy named Brandon. Brandon was the whitest samurai in America, or so I understood from his rantings. He would show up to our anime club, (Which did usually show good things, and not just the newest harem anime crapfest.) Lumber to his seat talk to his retarded friends throughout the whole of the showings. He would then proceed to laugh anytime anything serious happened, (characters dying, climax of a series, that sort of thing). This got to the point where the club officers would get up after the showngs and remind everyone not to be retarded (meaning him, but since it was a university club it was easier to do this than go through all the red tape to try and throw him out.) He would also regale his friends with tales of his fighting prowess and kendo skill (Which, since I have seen manatees in better shape than him, probably consisted him swinging around a curtain rod for 5 minutes, and then eating another box of Twinkies). Anyway he is the epitome of everything I hate about the majority of fans I.E. thinks he's Japanese, thinks watching anime makes him the coolest thing on two legs, constantly missed the point of serious things in favor of breasts or stupid comic relief characters, and he was probably a furry too. So yeah I guess I'm like the rest of you I treat these works as I would any other film, book, ect. If I enjoy it I will watch it. If not I'm not just going to watch it because it's currently the grand poobah of nerd town.

Eh. The whole premise of the first one was that the alien monsters were basically giant antibodies. Also if they are antibodies then (Hypothetically speaking) maybe these new attacks show that the galaxy's immune system has healed itself and is ready for another go at stopping those dirty earth parasites. The monsters of the original anime were more of a threat to mankind. Not much was known about them save for their reproductive methods, and that was even a hypothesis. Their methodology was a lot clearer though as you stated, as their sole point was the total eradication of the human species. When attacking they acted together as insects would do if their colony was invaded. They were intelligent, had warp capability, and possessed energy weapons, albeit natural in origin. It is stated that the purpose of Operation Calnedius was to eradicate the alien threat once and for all, therefore securing mankind's survival. There could have been stragglers or survivors, but that is doubtful. My feelings on this new series of monsters is that they may actually be a sub-species or a lower life form, but we really have not seen much of them as we have in the older show. At least not in the large battle cruiser type fights we were accustomed to. So we really do not know their intentions. They may not consider mankind to be a threat to the overall survival of the universe. More on this later. 323293[/snapback] The new monsters appear to be more of a nuisance along the lines of cockroaches when it comes to the reaction of Topless. "Look, there's too many of them, let's get rid of them with our superpowerful Buster Machines!" as opposed to "Holy sh*t, they've found Sol, we have to stop them all NOW before we die!" If there is a bigger Buster Machine in the works, I don't see why it would even be needed. 323369[/snapback] Perhaps these space monsters are some sort of advance force to test the capabilities of the Human Military and the Topless. Maybe now we will begin seeing a larger main attack force. As to where these new ones came from. Maybe there were a few left in a star somewhere, and now they have grown and reproduced. Maybe they were some reserve force who stayed back from the main battle with the black hole bomb in the first one, and have been building up a force to attack again.

Back in the day unions protected exploited workers, now THEY exploit workers by creating a loby for their cause which usually cripples or totally destroys the company that employs the union employees. The idea always works for shortsighted people who think of themselves without thinking of the consequences of their actions. My favorite union story is where the employees (union) of United Airlines decided to purchase the company at managements request, as management wrongfully thought the employees were smart enough to take value in owning part of the business... They were wrong. The dumbass employees paid themselves so much the company had to file for bankruptcy and they lost their stock and their pensions. Haw Haw! Those retards got exactly what they deserved. Often unions make demands that shut companies down, then the employees sit around and wonder what happened. My buddy Pat worked for UPS briefly. He was one of the guys who unloaded packages from the big trucks to load into the little trucks. He said that if your stuff was near the front of the truck you would be fine. They would just place it on this conveyer belt and send it on its way. However the further back in the truck your stuff was the more they would just throw it at the conveyor belt. They purpously threw that stuff as hard as they could. In his own words, "It could have said 'fragile baby' on the box and we would still hurl that sh*t as hard as we could." He also said there was some kind of pit near the conveyors that packages would fall into. This would rarely be cleaned out. He said he felt kind of bad when stuff would fall in there because there was a good chance it was never getting where it was going.

It was a used book store, and they said they just hang up whatever loose items they should happen to get. So they must have found one or both of those sets of boxed prints, and decided to hang them up. lucky for me I guess.

She was an art student and one of her favorite artists is Mucha. This picture is based off his work (or at the very least the art nouveau style). So she has lots of material to draw refrence from. She decided to base this on one of Mucha's works where muted colors are used for the backround while the subject is in brighter colors. So it wasn't very hard for her at all.

yeah she's working on it. Like I said backround is done, Most of the of the characters have their basic colors on overall it is about 75% there. We are going to put out a high res version, and a desktop version. She says maybe it will be done next week. (She does have a job and usually is rather tired after work. Plus she really doesn't like Macross so it is impressive that I got her to do it at all.) Anyway just be patient a while longer, the way it is going it will look totally boss when its done
