  1. Just checked amazon.co.jp, but it's not up for preorder yet. Graham
  2. From the November 2004 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine. Graham
  3. It's a screen shot from the end of the movie you linked, doncha know. Ah, I see. The last time I actually watched the movie was when it was released last year, that's why. Graham
  4. Wonder if they will still travel about in that aircar thingy which looks like a flying bathtub Graham
  5. Outstanding detective work to find that. Checking out the Mediax site, it looks like most of the books and mags they publish are all hentai stuff Graham
  6. If you are talking about the Playstation game 'Macross Plus Game Edition' to give it it's correct game, then no the Valks are not transformable. In the 1-player mission games, some stages are battroid mode only, some stages are fighter mode only. For the 1-player or 2-player vs games, then you can choose to play either a fighter or battroid battle in different arenas. You can also choose the BGM, which is really cool. Personally, I love this game. It's got good graphics, good controls and excellent music. Plus there are lots of cool Valks and Destroids to choose from and it's the only Macross console game so far that has a 2-player vs mode. I can spend hours playing this game. Graham
  7. DARKWIND, that's great news about you attending TGS. I was beginning to fear that no MWers would be able to make it. Even if there is no new Macross game on display, please try your best to ask the staff at the Bandai and Sega booths if one is in development. Bang some heads together if necessary Graham
  8. Mr. Fantastic looks far too young IMO. Graham
  9. Well, I dont know Japanese, but it does mention both Macross Plus & Macross Zero! Renato, Rob....help? ewilen, where did you find that pic? Graham
  10. Finally broke down and bought the F90 yesterday. Nice figure and the use of metal pins for the elbow joints and ABS for the shoulder joints is interesting and the first for a GFF as far as I'm aware. Although the last time I bought a GFF was the Z-Plus. However, I'm very disappointed in the paint job on the F90. Very sloppy with lots of over-runs. The worst paint job I've ever seen on a GFF. Graham
  11. OMG, the new Monsters right arm (or possibly both arms) unfolds into a big claw-like hand. I've promised Nanashi first dibs on the pics, so as soon as I get home, I'll scan them and send them of to Nanashi, who will clean them up and post them. Graham
  12. Haven't watched Naruto, took one look at the characters on the boxart of the bootleg DVDs, which just screamed kiddie-toon, so I decided to leave well alone. Perhaps I'll try watching an episode or 2 sometime. I know it's not good to judge something without actually seeing it yourself, but from the comments on this thread it doesn't sound like my cup of tea at all. Bearing in mind I mostly watch 80s mecha anime or more serious modern anime like GITS SAC & LOTGH and I hate comedy anime, should I even bother watching this? Graham
  13. Sewer Hornet.....Heh, Heh, Heh Graham
  14. Got my set 2 days ago. I decided to order the R2 set from England rather than buying the domestic Hong Kong R3 release, as amazon.co.uk had it for a very cheap price. Even with shipping, I still saved money . I have to agree that the card case is pretty flimsy, but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm buying this set to watch the movies, not to fondle the case or stare at it for hours . And sitting on my shelf with all my other DVDs, I'm sure it's going to hold together just fine. Anyway, I haven't had time to watch the movies yet, but I have been watching the documentaries on the extras disc, which is unusual for me as I normally don't give a toss about DVD extras or 'making of documentaries'. I am finding the 'Empire of Dreams (or whatever it's called) documentary very interesting though. Definitely helps me to understand Lucas more. Not a big Star Wars fan, although I did of course love the movies when I saw them as a kid back in the 70s/80s. when they first came out. Heck I even remember the big queue at the cinema for 'A New Hope' and standing in line with my mom to see it when I was 7 years old Graham
  15. Yawn, not interested. My PS2 still works fine. I never carry it about. It stays in my sitting room next to my TV. I suppose if you don't already have a PS2, this smaller version could be tempting. I guess I'm just the wrong demographic. Graham
  16. Congratulations Kevin, she looks very cute. So many fathers on Macrossworld now, it's like we're all busy making the next generation of fans . Graham
  17. Very interesting. Those pics deserve some serious study. I'm a big SV-51 fan. Graham
  18. Like I've said before the Bandai 1/65 VF-17S or VF-17D is the way to go. Those things are virtually indestructable, far tougher than even the 1/55 VF-1. The 1/65 VF-19kai or VF-19S are also damn tough, although the headlasers on the VF-19S fall off too easily and are easy to lose. Graham
  19. Give it up guys, it's never coming Morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet, so feeling quite pessimistic. Graham
  20. Knight26, this really is the wrong forum to be discussing your sex life! Oh, and the fighter's looking nice, but can we have some pics without the reflected image underneath please. Graham
  21. it's from the Macross Dreamcast game called M3...as far as it being in M7, i really don't know Yes, it's an official design from kawamori. The VF-9 appears only in the M3 Dreamcast game. It does not appear in any Macross anime so far. The Macross Compendium has the following to say about the VF-9: - The VF-9 project was the first assignment at General Galaxy for its chief project advisor Algus Selzer. Development began in 2018, and the first flight occured in 2021. The VF-9 was intended as a concept for an inexpensive twin-engined light fighter. However, due to input from UN-Forces-assigned test pilot Captain Milia Jenius, it displayed aerial combat manueverability higher than the VF-4, the main fighter at the time. As a result, General Galaxy received massive orders from colony planets with reduced budgets, and the VF-9 became its first bestseller. Mass production began in 2023 and ended in 2029. Graham
  22. Actually, the photo that Opus posted of the Stampeed model kit conversion is also not completely accurate to Kawamori's line-art either. Check out Kawamori's line-art of the Stampeed Valkyrie on page # 71 of the Macrosss Design Works to see all the differences. Graham
  23. They have pics of the VF-9 on MAHQ. Personally, I've never liked the design. Whle the Fighter mode is ok looking, I've always thought the Battroid and Gerwalk look hideous. Graham
  24. The tiny VF-0 could perhaps be one of those decoy missile which looks like a VF-0 and are carried 3 on an underwing pylon. These were featured in the Spring 2004 issue of Character Model magazine. See here, bottom right corner of page. Although IIRC according to Egan Loo, they are not official. Or perhaps the AFOS just gets really big and that's a full size VF-0. Don't forget the arms of the original Monster were missile launchers. If the arms on this new Monster are also missile launchers, it could use them to try to shoot down the Anti-UN SV-51s. Yeah, I also thought that. Graham
  25. Congratulations. Graham
