  1. Re-watch the opening colony sequence, the Megaroad-01 is nowhere near the galactic core or the Frontier. As of 2031:
  2. I don't hate, I'm just not happy with the direction Kawamori took. Its like the Jar Jar stepping in poo jokes, I just don't get it. I really like alot of the music, I love the opening, and I really enjoyed the episode with the Meltrandi fleet. Hell, I wish the entire series had gone down that road.
  3. See, that is what I was talking about...
  4. Far shorter than say, Macross 7.
  5. Oooo, but can you transport space whales in it!
  6. Its not about reviewing it. Its about basking in its glory, and celebrating its greatness. Its red meat, porn, and guns, all wrapped up into one!
  7. No no, that is what I use. The saber eats the batteries, on or off. My MR Ep V Vader lasts for weeks.
  8. I may be one of the few who wasn't much of a Macross fan coming out of Robotech. I was a big MOSPEADA fan. It wasn't until I saw DYRL around '91 that I really got into Macross.
  9. My MR Ep IV Luke eats batteries for breakfast.
  10. Yeah, have to second this. If you go back to the original discussions about the series, I was really close to writing it off after the first episode, but admitted that what I saw amused me, so I kept watching. Boy, am I glad I did!
  11. The radio show also states (something along the lines of "look for") that there will be some changes between the preview episode one and the actual episode one.
  12. Yeah, I dig the opening.
  13. Such a great design, wish we had seen more of it.
  14. It should be noted that the first episode we saw might not have been finished. We've discussed this before, it may be more of a first cut than a "director's cut", as it was touted to be. We saw footage in the commercials that was clearly altered when we saw the first episode. When this show actually starts its run, we may see additional changes. Maybe that opening sequence is changed, improved, whatever.
  15. I suspect, perhaps, some of the ships went out in pairs. But we really don't know.
  16. But did they re-use the ships? Also, the opening of 7 and Frontier both seem to imply that some of the New Macross ships may have gone off in groups as well.
  17. Looking back again, in the opening scenes of Macross F, we simply don't see all of these Megaroads. The Compendium lists 13, which was the last official word pre-Frontier From Earth we see launching: Megaroad-01 Megaroad-02 Megaroad-04 Megaroad-06 Megaroad-09 Megaroad-13 I am assuming we have more than one ship per fleet in some of these, but I have no evidence of this. Still, number 13 is as high as they show. I guess one could also assume that ships were re-used, but we have no evidence of this, either.
  18. Oooh oooh, we have Ride Armor in Macross F!
  19. No, Kawamori has been practicing a decent amount of retcon the past few years.
  20. Which is where it loses me, because I see the Macross franchise as "serious". I guess I was kinda looking forward to it being handled like Robotech is in the podcasts. But, whichever, I did listen to it all. At this point, I'm just a little surprised Gurren Lagann, which is obscenely over the top, hasn't gotten a show yet.
  21. It sounded like, and someone who owns it please correct me on this, but it sounded like the ADV release used an altered audio track. Effects changed and what not.
  22. *cough* retcon *cough* Somewhere in these threads we have a breakdown of alot of the fleets seen in the opening of Macross F.
  23. Actually, the opening sequence of Macross F shows more than 13 Megaroads, I do believe. General carelessness on my part.
  24. But they used a different, low quality audio, did they not?
  25. I wasn't expecting the love fest.
